I am an IMG student, attended the course two months before the exam. I would like to share my experience with you. This an amazing preparation course for CS exam. Dr. Somas, the staffs, and SPs, they all are wonderful. The course is very flexible and the mock tests are challenging, which very good for preparation. Through which you will learn how to handle the challenging patients. PNs are very well-organized and get reviewed by Dr.Somas. The best part of the course is you can go to practice as much as you want. High recommended.

Dr Somas has been excellent. It wasn’t possible for me to do well in such a short time without NYCS. Thank you for everything!

Dr. Somas is a great teacher. He will teach you everything you need to learn to build your confidence in taking the test. I highly recommend this place.

The course has been a life saver. I did well on my others USMLE exam, but this test is another thing all together. Thanks to Dr. Somas I'm now know the intricacies of the test and I'm more prepared to tackle it.

I would recommend this course, specially if you are an IMG with no extensive USCE. Also don't wait until the last second to take it, if you get the pack where you can study in the center until your test is way easier to find someone to practice with.

Exam strategies are taught methodically by Dr somas who understands the needs of every student and makes USMLE a simple test to take.The staff are all very friendly, and would always check if one had everything they needed, SP's are extremely helpful and correct any mistakes during practice tests.

Even though this prep course for USMLE Step 2CS is very short (2 Days), they allow you to use their facility to practice as long as you need. The mocks may be a little intense but it is always better to be over prepared than under prepared. Dr. Somas is an excellent teacher, the staff are super nice and friendly. I wholeheartedly believe that this course has prepared me to the best of my abilities. Would definitely recommend this place without a doubt! Thank you NYCSPREP!

Great methods and exam strategies are taught. I suggest that you stay back in NY for at least a couple of day to practice with other students. I went to the center for Practice sessions on 3 days where I practiced with 2 or 3 others. We used to do around 7 cases each by the end of the day. That really helped me get the hang of it. Dr. Somas is very approachable and helped me with my patient notes, history and examination. I took the Mock exam by the end of the week and did fairly well which boosted my confidence. NYCS mock is tougher than the real exam.

First of all I apologize for sending this email so long after my results, but I needed to send it just to tell you how much I really enjoyed and appreciated the good work that you guys do in NYCS Prep and a special thanks to a good Doctor and a much better human being Dr. Somas and all the great SP's at the center (shoutout to my man Jorge, bro your feedback was top notch). Well, I did my Step 2 CS in Philadelphia on March 13, and the good news are that I PASSED! Haha and on my first shot. So if you are reading this on the clipboard at the center or on a post of IG, let me reassure you that you got this, trust this amazing staff, this people will help you out not because you are paying for a class, but because they truly want to see you succeed on this, so as I said, do yourself a favor trust them and work hard for it.

After a long search, I read good reviews online about nycs and joined the course. Dr. Somas who is the instructor and his staff were exceptional. The course has professional patient actors for the mocks and most of them worked in medical schools in the New York area. They provided great feedback and really cared about improving your performance. I would recommend taking this course a couple of weeks prior to the test so that you can practice at the facility with other students. One downside is that the facility is a bit small and it can feel a bit crammed but other than that no complaints at all. They even have computers to type up your notes after patient encounter. Also I think this course is significantly cheaper when compared to others.

Do not hesitate to sign up for NYCS Prep to prepare for USMLE Step 2 CS! From the first day of the course, I knew I’d made the best decision. Dr. Somas will go through everything you need to know in two days, and from then on, you have everything available to you to master what was taught through their facility, all the fellow examinees you’ll make friends with, the feedback from amazing SP’s, and Dr. Somas’ constant personalized PN revision. If you’re still thinking about it, think no more!

Took the course February2019, my exam was in beginning of March passed with stars in ICE, CIS and SEP. I wouldn't rate my experience at the center anything but excellent! The three days course and mock test changed my perspective about step 2 CS exam as I knew almost nothing about it before ( I'm an IMG). Then the facility opens every day for practicing with other MD, that also allowed me to meet new people and learn from them. Dr Somas was there to read the patients notes and give an honest opinion about them,as it was very important to know what are my weak points. Also hired an SP (Jorge) was very helpful as he gave me a personalized pattern of things I needed to improve and worked on them with him. Took other mock tests and was ready to rock that exam.

I would like to thank Dr. Somas for helping me pass Step 2CS. I enrolled in the course in January and took the exam in LA right after. The best advice given was to have 5 differentials before entering the room and ask pertinent questions for each differential. Also, I learned a lot from watching how Dr. Somas was formulating his thoughts as he was writing his notes. Dr. Somas is up-to-date with the most recent Step 2CS changes. I would highly recommend this prep course.

I would like to let you know that I passed step 2 CS, which I took in LA. Your course was very organized and so much fun!! Thanks to your class, my performance was greatly improved. Without your support, I never pass this hard exam. I never forget great time with you.

I took the course in January. Dr Somas has been very helpful and the whole team prepares you very well. I was so confident after those 3 days that I wanted to take the exam right away. Especially the mock exam was great. My exam experience was also very good and I followed everything taught and passed with stars. Highly recommend NYCS PREP for anyone who needs an orientation for the exam and need a place to prepare and also to find SPs with similar level of training.
