Never again! We came over from France to support recently widowed mother-in-law. Parked in a disabled bay with disabled badge. Normally we park in Asda but road was shut off that day and our relative was unable to walk too far. We were fined 100 pounds for 1h15 parking. We appealed the fine and got it reduced to 60 pounds. What a heartless, unfeeling company. We didn't understand that there were no concessions for disabled drivers. Thankfully, the rest of Stockport has a heart and takes care of the elderly and disabled!!!

My daughter attends a education provision and I have always inputted my car registration number in on there computer system, the one time the system was down i was told to put details on paper and this would be emailed over.

I then received a fine, I appealed the fine and sent letter from education provider, i never got a response but the trace debt recovery wrote me a letter say i owe £170, I called them and they told me it was passed over to them by Oceanparking.

I called Ocean Parking and they inform me my appeal was rejected and they emailed me on 13th July i have checked my email and received nothing and i have been told it now has nothing to do with them.

Another parking company scamming people, due to this i see no point in driving any more, petrol up and fines being given out all the time this government is a joke

AVOID using car parks run by these crooks! I parked in one of their car parks in Bradford Southgate whilst going to the cinema. CAr park itself was a tip, rubbish everywhere and the old ticket machines had just had the internals ripped out and left there with wires hanging out of them. Should have known then really to keep on driving. Was cutting it fine for the cinema so parked and dashed! Came back after the film had finished, checked the time, scanned the QR code, which I hoped was the right one, paid the fee and left. Days later I received a letter claiming I hadn't paid for my parking. I lodged a complaint with proof of payment, to then be told, I had not paid enough, there was a difference between the time I entered and the time they flashed the number plate on the way out. As it turns out, they were correct, between me and my son, we had got the time wrong by 10 minutes. I waited for the appeal to come to a conclusion, fully expecting to be hit with the reduced fine of £60. Wrong, I ended up paying the full £100 becasue I hadn't paid in time. They state that once you start the appeal the clock is stopped on the fine, so until the appeal is concluded you remain at the lower fine of £60. I waited for the conclusion of the appeal, the first thing i received was another letter saying i now oweed the ful £100 as i hadn't paid in time. I contacted them straight away to say i had no idea the appeal had been concluded. They told me they sent an email to let me know and didn't hear back from me. I never received the email and explained that to them. I also explained that i had been up front with them from the start of the ordeal and that I genuinely hadn't received any confirmation of the appeal. I never heard from them again. So, I paid the full £100 and left a very jolly email telling them that I would leave them a lovely review that would hopefully let future customers know how they operated. Stay clear and save yourself a lot of stress, park elsewhere!!!

Went to pay for an hours parking at Stockport Peel Centre, machine displayed that it wanted to charge me over £40 for 1 hours parking. Spoke to an idiot on their contact number and all she was interested in was getting me to pay for the hours parking. She was not the least bit interested in the over charging. I call it extortion. I left without paying.

Husband had dashcam fitted to car by Halfords Redhill on 28/05/26, car in their bay throughout.
Ocean sent a ticket for overstaying free period and when Halfords and he informed them that it was in Halfords' bay for work they claimed Halfords had not logged it with them. They claimed they had. Put it with Trace, now Moorside Legal-just check them out on Trustpilot! Let's smash these crooks to Mars and beyond

Shocking. I took my elderly disabled auntie shopping. Who has heart failure, COPD amongst other ailments. She's very slow at walking and because I went 24 minutes over they slapped me with a fine then rejected my appeal even though I'd stated the equality act 2010. Absolutely diabolical company with no compassion or empathy

I fell into the scam trap....I was in a hurry to get to an appointment and used the car park before it changed hands. Barriers ripped off with wires hanging out, where the pay machines were was just a mess and smack heads crouched in every corner. I know why didn't I just leave??? Probably would have got a fine for driving through the zombie pit! Anyway I parked next to the entrance the only area with any light, I downloaded the app and waited for a verification code. This did not come even after 10min, I took a picture of the information board and any relevant codes etc and went to my appointment. About 30min after getting the app the code came through. So....as you do I logged on and selected the relevant car park and paid. But guess what.....yesssss a fecking parking fine 🤔🙄 I sent proof from the notifications from Ocean saying I'd payed and my bank statement with their payment coming out. But no....these low life scum said that I hadn't agreed to the terms and bulshit conditions by not putting the code in from the relevant board (many different one's available in this car park). So they had proof off payment at the relevant car park but because they are in it for the scam, and have you tied up legally declined my appeal.

In short if you park here you will get a fine!!

If I could write a 0 I would. These are the worst of the worst companies out there. Legal scammers who are completely unresponsive, utterly useless with their customer service and refuse to accept any liability or fault of their own.

The JustPark app wasn’t working for the location I parked at. I emailed ahead to tell them of the fault. They gave me a PCN and didn’t accept my reasoning and then brought in debt collectors even though there was absolutely no fault.

They will do whatever they can to scam and as little as the can to communicate effectively during their scam. Never ever trust them and I wish I had proceeded with a court summons because they must be stopped.

RECIEVED FINE AFTER 2 WEEKS, NO REDUCED PAYMENT. SCAMMERS

ocean parking are unprofessional people who sent me a unsolicited parking fine.
I received a parking fine which I appealed and this was turned down so I went to the IAS (independent appeals service ) who did not recognise the PCN number provided by Ocean parking .
I then complained in writing and sent this recorded delivery, Ocean parking wrote back saying if you want to complain go to our website (which gave me the instructions and address of where to send my complaint in the first place) Ocean parking will not acknowledge all my evidence and have now sold the so called charge to Trace Debt recovery who have sent me 2 letters demanding £170.
I have in touch with my local Citizens advice but have also now contacted BBC morning live as well as rip off Britain who are both looking at the case and all my evidence.
Don’t just pay the fine if it is unjust like mine. Fight back!

Very bad , I won’t recommend. I was paying monthly for my car Parc and because I was parked on yellow line I was receiving 7 tickets. Not a problem but put one and I know , I won’t doing again. But 7 is like scam.

Very disappointing experience – be careful

I had a very disappointing experience with Ocean Parking. I paid for their service expecting everything to be handled as agreed, but I did not receive the service I paid for and had difficulty getting the matter resolved.

I contacted them to try to sort out the problem, but I was not satisfied with the response or the way my complaint was handled. I feel that I was left out of pocket and treated unfairly.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. Please make sure you fully understand the terms and what you are paying for before using their service. I hope the company takes my complaint seriously and provides a proper resolution.

Like all parking firms, Ocean’s service and appeals process are designed not to treat you fairly.

Whatever the facts, they’ll refuse your appeal and send letters to scare you into paying.

Then they’ll point you to the Independent Appeals Service (IAS), which sounds like an Ombudsman when it’s not.

This is the real scandal that lies at the heart of the parking industry: The IAS is owned and operated by THE PARKING FIRMS THEMSELVES via the IPC (International Parking Community).

Ocean Parking and all their friends literally invented their own ombudsman, put “Independent” in the name, and reject every appeal they get.

(Trading Standards haven’t got them yet, but the RAC are chasing the statistics on how many fines they overturn. They won’t reveal it, but in 2021 it was 6%)

Luckily their decisions aren’t legally binding. If you have a genuine appeal, go through their process if you want but don’t let their dismissal of the facts worry you; they can’t get your money unless they take you to court. When they smell you have a real case they’ll back off eventually.

No surprise they have a bad reputation. The bully tactics, blatant attempts to deceive, and lack of engagement when you complain.

Absolute nightmare scam artists!!

I validated 2 hours free M&S parking ticket and took pics of the machine date stamped just in case of any fines. They replied to my appeal and said no record of my car being validated. Now passed to debt recovery at £170.

This company needs to be removed- they send you fines if their app doesn’t work and then send to debt recovery- DO NOT USE!!!!!! You will be scammed

Pay for monthly parking to park at a spot, still got PCNs, I repeat pcnS FOR NOT PARKING IN A MARKED BAY IN A LARGE CAR PARK THAT IS ALMOST ALWASY EMPTY ON WEEKEND AND WE PAY MONTHLY PARKIN PERMIT FOR. THIEVES JUST STEALING FROM US.

This company is only bothered about making money and handing out tickets for no real reasons. I received a parking ticket for not being parked within the parking bay, I was parked on the line due to another vehicle parking on the line and I needed space to get out of my vehicle. The like I parked on was next to yellow chevrons so nobody could park or drive there anyway. I wasn’t causing an obstruction but yet I received a hefty fine of £60. I quickly popped into a shop to pick up an order and I must have been about 10 minutes if that. I am disgusted after reading reviews on here about similar stories and it is apparent the company are only concerned with lining their own pockets and have zero customer service. They have managed to take photos of my vehicle in the time I got out of my vehicle and quickly nipped into the shop. They are vultures and they will continue to penalise people for simply parking their vehicles.
