OVH Destroyed a 5+ year relationship.

I have been a customer of OVH persoanlly and professionally over the last fiver years, I have deployed over 300+ companies to OVH and my own personal projects regularly.

Recently, I started a new project and wanted to deploy to OVH as usual, as they are my go-to for bare-metal, as my experience has been nothing but excellent up until now.

I deployed a dedicated server, and I was working on a properitory customer platform for the last few weeks, today however, I logged in to continue work, and was told that my server had been suspended due to fraud.

For clarity, I had provided full and accrurate address, contact, business registration, etc with a U.K. registered and verified bank card in my own name, as usual.

I contacted support to which I pay for the second best option at £200 / per month via phone as I couldn't login to my OVH account, and was told by support staff that I had been suspended and they couldn't help, won't transfer me to someone who could, and have no idea as to why the suspension happened.

I am now over £200 down, after being told that I wouldn't be refunded, nor would I have any ability to get back into my OVH account ever, nor would I be able to use the platform again.

This is fine, ultimately there are other companies out there, however, I had a relationship with a lot of the support staff who knew me by name, and whom I had actually met some of at conventions as happen stance.

Today I informed the 242 customers who I had deployed to OVH of this situation, who are currently on yearly spending a collective cool 412k in total and who are ready for me to migrate them individually to another solution.

I will begin the lengthy process of migrating the customers I still have influence over who agreed to move as a sign of solidarity with me if there isn't a solution made.

I do not want to, but I will halt all my commitments and manually spend the next few months doing this out of spite for the absolute lack of empathy, support, or care for a customer known by my OVH staff members, and many in the community.

OVH servers are fine but they offer zero support. I use unmanaged servers so its very rare I contact them. On this occasion it was relating to accounts and billing. They took 4 days to reply and then provided zero support and just provided a crappy generic response.

AVOID like the plague.

Ive only just noticed they have been taking money from my bank for over a year even though i canceled over a year ago and deleted my bank details from the site !

I have contacted my bank and they said they have fraudulently taking the money each month !

Very bad customer service! They replay you 2-3 days after and don't help you. I don't recommend them!

What a shocking company. Avoid them. There is no customer service, nobody will help you. They lie to you but are happy to take your money.
Worst choice I have made.
They also remove negative Trustpilot comments.

Tried them 10 years ago as Canadian customer. Used for 2 years and moved somewhere else. I could say those days they were 5 stars. Recently 10th of June 2022 I needed UK based VPS to perform some tests. I've paid for the cheapest just to try it. No OVH response for 2 days and later I'm getting the message that I need everything to confirm my ID (bank statement, utility bill, driving license)... alright, why not. I prepared fresh scans but failed to find how upload them. Requested how to upload it, no response. Decided to pay to IBM UK vps service.

P.S. Due to inflation the service for cheap VPS is dissapering. Anything less than $15 will be a scum.

Update. In 10 days I got the respond where I was suggested to upload my IDs and proof of address on third party file exchange "plik root gg". Outstanding. Changing my star to 1.

Omg bought domain and hosting but never get this, scammer...

Notice: OVH is a SCAM

Due to the incompetence of OVH Support I have lost my Domain Name.

Once I paid for the Domain they locked me out of my account. so was unable to update DNS/IP for my servers.
I have not had access for over 8 months and to this day I still have no access they still just spam me automated EMAILS telling me my domain has run out and I need to renew which I am unable to do when locked out.

If you have domains with these people I advise you to ensure your domain is not on auto renew as you will never be able to cancel payments if you need to and I would transfer them before they lock you out and you end up in the situation I am in.

I am unable to transfer it as I have no access to my account, luckily for me it is not on auto renewal.

I have never seen such incompetence and they make sure you can not contact them when locked out as you need an active account to contact them.

Scammers, took my money then locked my account months ago, still can not get access.

They reply to mail with very bad English which is totally irrelevant to my issue (account been locked out after paying)

AVOID at all cost, you will get scammed.

I created an account on ovhcloud to buy a domain, placed an order and received a mail that they will deliver the domain in 48 hours which is ridiculously high.
While I was waiting the terminated my account without any reason also they didn't canceled the order.

Now I am trying to reach them and my email is getting rejected.

Bad overall quality, the worst administration panel I have ever seen, from time to time showing some screens in French, so seems they are unable to translate it completely. Resetting domain settings or adding new DNS entries is a horrible experience only for brave and patient people. Even the simplest things are made complicated and difficult there. Only the prices is an advantage as some domains or services are cheap - but with this quality it is pretty understandable that it is cheap.

last night 02:00am they suspended my server due payment they ask me to pay again(i made payment 2 weeks ago)
but it was wrong i made my payment before the monthly period
i try contact them but its already 20 hours that they don't answer and i lost about 300k daily traffic
the worst service ever seen!
i loose my rank and visitors because of you!! and your bad support system!

I had a fantastic service and chat with the chaps from OVH customised my request and send over all the details. The dedicated server took 120 seconds to after payment method was verified.

I have been with OVH for 10 years. They have gone to absolute garbage in the last 3. "Minor" incidents that cause a severe outage of VPS and dedicated services go unresolved for days, customer service is a myth. Im in the process of moving away from them, sadly that's no overnight activity and something that the company is having to front the bill for (migration).

Avoid, for an unmanaged service they do a shocking job of maintaining their infrastructure.

Quite frankly you either need new senior management, more staff, or both. You have clearly lost the faith of a large numbers of customers from reading their experiences here. Shame on you, perhaps you have taken on too much and got greedy instead of providing a good service. It will be the end of you no doubt.

I had some small issue with DDOS attacks recently and was taken care by OVH professionally . Right now my server is ranked 1 and i am glad to have OVH as my platform for game hosting.

Without OVH i would never dream to come rank 1 and its due to their excellent services that has made my dream come true.

The most outstanding staff that took care of my tickets and solved issue in professional manner was Michael S. he deserves alot. the way he speaks with calm and polite way i dont think i will get this same attention on any other hosting.

You will never get a refund from this company even when it is their mistake. They are rude, unhelpful, and unethical. Moving to another service.

I have been with OVH for over 10 years now. I have always found them to be the most reliable hosting company, affordable pricing, great hardware and performance.

Recently I have had a number of issues with my own organisation not directly linked to OVH at all. The support have spent many hours helping me over the past few weeks, and have really gone above and beyond to get my organisations issues sorted. The level of support has been invaluable to be honest. I have spoken to many different advisors and technicians over the past weeks, and I have to say every single one was more than happy to help and go the extra mile. Providing links to resources, detailed explanations on the phone, help checking logs etc.

I always recommend to my clients that they take a server with OVH. Im not usually the one to make reviews I'm far far too bust to be doing this, but I felt compelled to do this due to the outstanding service I have received lately, and this is my way of paying that back a little. And also there are many many server companies out there that don't care about the customer, and will not offer any level of assistance. With OVH this is not the case. You will be in good hands and their support team will always go above and beyond to help you out.
