Pars Rug Gallery Reviews

Arash and his team cleaned and repaired five antique rugs belonging to my mother. They were in a sorry state and in need of significant restoration. The team were painstaking and when the rugs were returned to us they looked fantastic. Colours restored in a way I had not anticipated and the thin patches skillfully repaired. Arash was also able to identify when and where the carpets were made, which was new information for us.

Arash and his team provided an excellent service. I had a number of badly damaged moth eaten carpets which were cleaned and beautifully restored . A couple of carpets had been in the family for many generations and were looking a bit sad with damaged borders and now have a new lease of life.
Not cheap but worth the money to have beautiful restored carpets which future generations will enjoy

We have worked with Arash, the founder and owner of Pars Rug Gallery, to restore our antique Shirvan. I grew up with this rug, and it is part and parcel of my childhood memories. When I inherited it, it was in quite a bad state; large parts were eaten by moths, and some other parts were torn. We always knew that it was something special, as my father was a rug collector. We met Arash a few years ago and he looked after our other two Nain rugs and we had some repairs done to their frame as well as regular cleaning. We also did some work on the Shirvan and then took the plunge to restore it completely. Arash took us through the process of doing it bit by bit. He also sent us a video of what needs to be done. Many parts of the rug had to be cut away and then completely re-woven with matching antique wool. A few people worked on it, as it is difficult to demand the perseverance and focus from one person to do the whole work. We could not believe the result. The rug looks completely seamless both from the front and, crucially, the back. It is all but impossible to see that any work has been done on it, let alone such extensive work. The colours, the textures, the consistency are so seamless. The people who have performed the work are genuine artisans with a know-how that is increasingly rare to find, as it requires the skills and the temperament that are difficult to find in this day and age. So precious. Throughout the process, Arash was highly communicative through update videos and detailed photos. Dealing with Arash created and sustained our confidence and anticipation. The passion and care for the project were unheard of. Arash’s knowledge is vast but always expressed with modesty and conviction that can only come from a person who is a master of his craft. His love of the art of weaving and its history is awe-inspiring. We can not be more grateful for restoring this rug for us, a rug which is set to stay with our family. We are so lucky. Thank you, Arash and all the people who work on this rug so wonderfully. We could not recommend Pars Rug Gallery more highly.

Pars Rug Gallery collected my old Indian rug for cleaning and restoration within two hours of making contact, they were with me to advice for restoration and valuation. ANd I decided to proceed with the restoration and cleaning. My rug was returned with restoration and my carpet look new. And I highly recommend Pars Rug Gallery.

Many thanks to Arash and the team at Pars Rugs for cleaning and restoring my much loved old Turkish rug. The colours are once again vibrant and bright and it is lovely to have this old ‘friend’ in my living room again.
Thanks for your kind and courteous service

My Indian rug looked like new. Wonderful service carried out my Arash and co
Collected and delivered ***

Moths had been savaging two lovely Turkish rugs, and as I was away a lot, I didn't realise straight away how extensive the damage had been. I sent them to Pars Rug Gallery and Arash discussed the damage over video link before getting on with the repairs. They now both look new and the colours are much more vivid, having been cleaned thoroughly as well. Arash & Maryam have both been very helpful on the phone and I can't thank them enough.

We had an accident with a mug of tea on our lovely 30 year old rug. I contacted Pars Rug Gallery and received a very quick reply despite it being the weekend. Arash collected my rug and got it photographed by his team. Whilst it took a few weeks for the cleaning and restoration process, the end result was worth it. The rug looks like new again and was personally delivered back to me by Arash. Brilliant service. Thank you to all the team at Pars

We had a disaster, flooding from a leaked pipe up stairs came through the ceiling and onto our silk carpet in the dining room. The carpet was soaked through in one area. I had no idea what to do, googled and found Pars Rugs in Romsey. It was just before five o'clock at night and within 30 minutes Arash was at our property, he was very professional and was at pains to ensure that we understood the process. The carpet was taken for cleaning/drying and later colour restoration. We picked up our carpet yesterday and it is in pristine condition, the colors are bright and the texture of the silk restored to its original condition. I am so grateful for Arash's quick reaction and the return of our carpet looking better than ever. Thank you Arash.

I feel totally ripped off by my experience with this business. I was advised to get three rugs that I had cleaned at a cost of £630. This was based on the assumption that once cleaned they would be back to somewhere near their full value. Having had them cleaned I was advised that they were damaged, which could have been seen from the initial inspection, and repairs would cost thousands of pounds. I was promised that this would restore their value and I would recoup my costs and a profit.
I decided to take a second opinion and this was completely different. So I feel conned out of £630 cleaning costs that were a complete waste of time and I was told the actual "cleaning" was not only overpriced, but a really bad job as well. Avoid!

Very professional and efficient & reliable service. Arash was very helpful and explained the whole process. The rug came back looking like new.
I’m very happy overall.

I have read the reviews and they are all very similar. Stating how great 👍 the work they do is. I can completely agree.
The impression they left with me is the human aspect and how they truly love their work and take great pride in creating a beautiful finished product. You can really tell that their heart ❤️ is in the work they do.
My wife and I thank them completely.

I had a rather dirty old rug, bought from a junk shop, and now it is beautifully clean, with vibrant colours. Arash tells me it's a good quality Turkish carpet, and worth a lot more than I paid for it.
When I first packed up the rug and sent it on its way to Pars, the lack of any communication was concerning, as I had no idea whether it had arrived, and when, or even if, I could expect to see it again, but I needn't have worried, and I'm very happy with the outcome.

I cannot rate Pars Rug Gallery highly enough. They have the most beautiful, wide ranging selection. Arash was extremely helpful and patient bringing many different styles to our house. We look forward to using them again in the future.

Pars rugs gallery cleaned two of my kilim rugs. I hadn't realised how dirty they had become until they were returned beautifully clean. They just seemed like brand new rugs. The colours were incredibly vibrant and the crease in one of them had been removed. Thanks

I can’t recommend Pars more highly if you are looking for a rug. We didn’t really know what we wanted so Arash brought a selection, including some beautiful antique rugs and a number of kelims. We settled on a gorgeous kelim which now has pride of place in our cottage in Hartley Wintney

The rugs went to Pars for cleaning and restoration. They were in a sorry state: eaten by moths, with worn and torn spots. I just got them back, looking absolutely splendid! I cannot see the repairs at all: they were able to do the matching beautifully, even for large worn spots. They kept me informed and consulted throughout. Equally good work on three different rug types. Bravo!

On a Sunday afternoon, I rang the Pars Gallery in Southampton to leave a message about an oriental rug I wanted repaired. As expected, no one answered but Arash, the charming Iranian who set up the business 15 years ago, rang back within minutes with suggestions. I would save the £20 collection fee if I brought the rug to his Hungerford depot. Before I could do that, he called again to say he’d be coming to pick it up for free. As he did. The rug was laid out on the gravel, photographed and valued around £10,000 when fully restored by Pars; I was thinking of £100 to stitch up the tattered ends. £1500 lowest price for a more comprehensive stitch up, said Arash, the most consummate of salesman. £1100 was eventually agreed. I paid half and he left with the rug. No promised pictures, no paperwork, no news for 10 days. I rang again. Unsurprisingly there was no reply. However Arash rang back immediately, supplied pictures and paperwork and repairs continued. And so to delivery day? Not quite. For a further “last price” £890, my rug would be perfect, all holes and bare patches fully restored. We eventually agreed on. £690. So I am £1,740 poorer, but the proud owner of a beautiful rug. Thank you Arash for the life lessons, the drama and the impeccable work.

The Pars team did a great job restoring the colour to my Turkish silk carpet. I really thought that it had been ruined. Great job!

Supreme knowledge, with restoration second to none. Would recommend no one else.
