Not worthy a 1 star,after weeks of no responses to calls eventually emailed which these people are now saying is the first contact, they will talk over you until you eventually raise your voice to talk back over them when they won't listen at which point you are called rude and they hang up, how they have managed to carry on as a business is beyond me, avoid at all costs

The young guy Finlay that showed us around a house we were interested in is fantastic, very very nice guy. However!! Jade the manager of Peter Alan in talbot greeen could do with learning some manners and is an obstructive argumentative person who I or my partner will never deal with again! We had an appointment booked for 12 to see a financial advisor and appointments before hand to see a house! The manager Jade called me at 10:05 to cancel our appointment at 12. I explained I wasn’t happy and that we had travelled from Rumney for this meeting but it’s no worries I will go elsewhere to seek financial advice. The manager Jade then called me a liar and stated back to me that I’m from tonyrefail and hadn’t travelled from Cardiff whatsoever, I tried to explain that my partner is from Cardiff and that I had travelled with her from there! Jade continued to overtalk me and point out that I hadn’t travelled from Cardiff for the 12 meeting as I was due for a viewing at 11 in gilfach goch so that I was lying to the fact saying I had travelled from Cardiff for the 12 meeting pointing out I would have had to anyway to view the property! A very aggressive argumentative individual who has now lost Peter Alan a customer or more as I will let everyone I know what kind of person they have there managing that particular outlet/shop! Totally unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour by a woman in her 40’s that should have a little more decorum about her and not call customers that have travelled for 45 minutes for a meeting a liar! Despicable individual!!!

Be prepared to be pressured into taking mortgage advice from them. I have now had to book viewings through 4 different branches to have to be really firm in saying no to mortgage advice to the point I was going to walk away from the viewings.

I moved into a property with promise that the rear garden would be fixed up to standard. Upon moving in, it was still overgrown. I reported a toilet that would not flush, which took them a week to send someone out to fix (no compensation). Black mould and damp, front door not fit for purpose, heating dial not working during freezing winter. Overall, an absolute nightmare. Would give zero if possible.

Valued house high to get me to sign up with them. Really poor communication, late attending viewings leaving me to show people around. No follow up calls. Really disappointed with the service. Pressure to reduce over valued price once signed with them. Did not sell my house after nearly a year on the market.

Wouldn’t even give this company a 1 star! Awful stay clear from them!!

Left the house on February 23rd, keys handed over! House emptied and cleaned! Spotless

It is now the 3rd June, I have rang over 10 times regarding the deposit and they are not willing to help at all! They keep saying they are waiting for landlord! It has been 4 months with no answers! The ladies on the phone are rude but again doesn’t matter because it’s not there money! Having to now take it to small courts! Greedy landlords!

Very poor customer service not only from the branch but also head office complaints department who aren’t efficient. Do not in any case choose Peter Alan as a letting agent you will come to regret it. Months of bad service and no communication

Poor communication, pushed their recommended conveyancer but didn’t say about the extra cost this would entail. Cost me an extra £500. Will not use again nor recommend.

Very disappointing experience with the rental team at Peter Alan. Poor communication, delayed responses regarding deposit issues, and unnecessary disputes at the end of tenancy. Thankfully I kept inventory photos and managed to recover most of my deposit through DPS. The only helpful and responsive person was Nail Edward. I would not recommend this agency for renting.

After finally getting out of our contract with Peter Alan for Property Management. i can strongly recommend avoiding them. we are still battling to get our last tenants deposit back and our last month of rent in arrears... 8 weeks later!

not only have they caused financial stress and hard ship on our family. they failed miserably in doing the basic job of managing the property to the point were we just did it off our own backs and watch them still take a cut for doing jack squat...

services= highly lacking, ended up solving any issues as we simple didn't trust them to do the job properly.

customer communication= useless. again, delay, delay, delay, excuses after excuses.

staff= lacking in actual helpfulness and professionalism.

I previously used Peter Alan for a "Managed" service, but the experience was a series of failures from start to finish.

Lack of Oversight: Despite paying for management, no annual inspections were carried out, leaving me in the dark regarding the property's condition.

Poor Communication: My attempts to raise concerns were frequently ignored. Communication was consistently poor, with emails going unanswered for long periods.

Administrative Failure: The final straw was the tenancy exit. The agency refused to perform the basic task of notifying utility providers (Ovo) with the tenants' forwarding address and final readings. I was told to "do it myself," despite the agency holding all the records.

I ultimately had to bypass the agency to resolve these issues directly with the tenants and utility companies. It is frustrating to pay a percentage of rent for a service that requires the landlord to do the agent's job. I have now moved my business elsewhere and would strongly advise other landlords to look for an agency that actually fulfills its contractual obligations.

I think that her name was lilly and she was exceptional with her knowledge and ability to deal with my requests. She was extremely professional, polite and helpful...... well done and thanks for your help 👍 👏 🙏 😀

The worst estate agent I have ever dealt with. As a buyer and a professional in the residential property field, I was appalled at the awful service given by Peter Alan. I had to resend essential information multiple times, chase up their ‘sales progressor’ to reply to my emails and when I spoke to the sales progressor on the phone, the rude and passive aggressive tone she used was beyond unprofessional. The team didn’t even have the decency to respond to my emails at a critical points in the transaction and on the day of completion, they didn’t even bother to tell me we had completed! If I could give them zero stars I would and if I ever sell my house, I will never use Peter Alan as the sales agent.

Never rent through them , they won't fix any issue in the house , and it would take ages to get back your deposit

I used Peter Alan, Newport to purchase a park home. Despite emphasising how much experience they have selling them, paperwork was incorrectly completed, and a mandatory form was missing. I was misled, to put it politely by the manager regarding fees, and given false information by her staff. I felt pressurised into transferring funds just before Christmas.

Paula jones lettings manager and nicole in the neath branch have been really good in making sure as a tennant that i had everything i needed to settle in my house they could not do enough for me i had a problem with the washing machine and was promptly taken care of within two days i couldnt ask for more from them both highly recomend the team at peter allan

One star is extremely generous, Upon on viewing the property we were promised that renovation works would be carried out on the rear garden, we have emailed for an update of when works are expected to commence numerous time but been ignored every time. We are also having issues with damp/mould and a woodlice infestation but they don’t seem to care about sorting that. I have filed a complaint to which I have been told to wait upto 15 working days for a response so basically at least 3 more weeks of living in a damp mouldy infested house.
Now today issues with the lock on front door and we just get told it’s categorised as urgent but we just have to keep waiting with dodgy locks meaning we can’t go out as the landlord isn’t answering their calls and they can’t do anything without consulting him first.

New manager at Talbot green branch absolutely unreal how rude is she? Very Direct and rude and doesn’t let you speak. The staff are not happy working with her and she’s new to the branch in South Wales. It used to be such a lovely place with everyone happy and smiling but since the new managers there were a massive difference I was going to put my bungalow For Sale with you I can’t I really can’t. I’m sorry you’ve lost The Sale with this all down to your Staff. Somebody who is too outspoken and Direct speaks over you the kind of person you want when you’re selling your home it’s a nervous thing and it’s a big step to be told. I am the manager of this Door and I have made multiple changes is not good you sold my last apartment years ago I won’t be returning.

Dealt with Aniya at the Talbot green branch she took on the roll as a managing the first stage of our home for sale she was amazing I would’ve hired her myself if I had a similar company absolutely devastated that she left there …. I spoke to the new manager that totally made me not want to put my house For Sale with you. She was Direct very rude and told me there’s big changes there since she got there the other person ANIYA was very on point accurate she cared so much for her company and she is a great asset to your business. I’ve not been told she’s been moved to a different branch so unfortunately my house is not on the market.

Cowbridge Branch

I’ve now sold two properties through Peter Alan in Cowbridge, and once again Luly and her team have been nothing short of outstanding. My most recent sale completed in mid‑January, and the whole process was handled with the same warmth, professionalism, and steady reassurance that made me return to them in the first place.

Luly is exceptional — calm, proactive, and genuinely invested in making the experience as smooth as possible. She communicates clearly, keeps you updated without ever overwhelming you, and brings a level of care that is rare in the industry. The wider team mirrors her approach: efficient, friendly, and consistently supportive.

Having dealt with many agents over the years, I can honestly say I haven’t come across a better team. Their integrity, attention to detail, and human touch set them apart. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Luly and the Cowbridge branch to anyone looking for an agent they can truly trust.
