Clacton-on-sea poundland the staff were…
Clacton-on-sea poundland the staff were rude when I told them they niva spray was on the wrong shelf stating it was 1 pound when paying for it came up as 2 pounds were do this store get off when I told the staff lady her attitude was disgusting and she said she don't care and don't care about the customers who come to this dump she needs sacking I know it's a cheap supermarket but we're the care for the customers when I asked to see the manager she said no and she don't care brought I should go rude very rude she she had that attitude with a family member of mine I felt like she needs a slap across the face like wow how rude no need for that rudeness of your staff ever get them to be pleasant with customers or get new staff in just like wow real customer service not terrible staff
RIP OFF - VOUCHER POINTS ON POUNDLAND APP
THAT'S NOT FAIR !!
Do not visited Poundland at Castlepoint, Bournemouth (Mallard Road) they will rip you off over your voucher points on your Poundland mobile app which is misleading how you can spend the points (Money Vouchers)
What happens I visited Poundland and been saving my points about a year and never have uses the apps other than collecting point.
I ask a member of staff how it work and when I arrived at till. I only have few items in basket and I ask if i can use the vouchers points ( Money ) to be use to paid my items from the Poundland apps.
I have £21 pounds and the cost of shopping are £6.75 and should be remain on Poundland apps will be £14.25 left to use on another occasion when visited the store again.
But there was confusing that I loss all my points and it took all my money on one transaction in the Poundland shop at Till. They never explained I need to buy exact amount of £21 pounds in their store inside the Poundland.
The staff called the manager and said I should known the information on Poundland App and the staff member gave to incorrect information and how to use the Poundland app. I am bitter I lost all £14.25 which I save for about an year.
I contact the customer services on the phone and explained the situation and they said there nothing do about it. I writing an email to Poundland Head Office and explaining everything and highlight the facts and information I give by the member of the staff was incorrect. The Head Office won't do anythings about the situation.
The Head office explained the store be connected and made aware of customers experience and won't happen again.
But however it not solve my situation and I out of pocket and loss in Point Voucher (Money) and I will not be visiting the Poundland again.
NOTES
Just let you known I am 73 years old and have very little computer literacy and struggling understanding Mobile apps and how to use Poundland Apps. If a member of staff explained to me first place and I would have not loss all my credits and would spend exact amount I need to use in the first place.
SO JUST LET YOU KNOW WHEN USING YOUR POUNDLAND APPS - NOT TO LOSE YOUR MONEY !
ENSURE YOU SPEND MORE THAN THE VALUE OF YOUR VOUCHER.
Can’t be trusted
Can’t be trusted. Price on shelf doesn’t match charge at the till and staff say tough. Will only be going back when absolutely necessary
Half the shelves in the stores are…
Half the shelves in the stores are empty. Usually more staff at any given time in stores then theres customers. Just stepped in to Haringey arena shopping store, so called mysterious shopper followed me all around the store, made to feel super uncomfortable. Surely you don’t need to make customers feel this way or at least have professionally trained people and not school girls who event be able to confront a real shoplifter. Its pathetic a, you are putting untrained staff in serious danger of being attacked by unwanted confrontation. And, b, your untrained security profiling is making genuine shoppers uncomfortable and agitated. SPEND some money and get trained mysterious shoppers and security staff.
Above and beyond.
The lady went into the storeroom and got me the item that I was in for, after being told it could be Saturday before it was out on the shelfs. She didn't have to do that but went out of her way to please a customer . Great service.👍 Thank you very much.
Poundland great bridge
Poundland great bridge Tipton visited today 27th august 2025 as I walk in the store security on the door following me around the store as though I’m some criminal I won’t be visiting that store anymore they were very rude and very intimidating not a very nice experience overall and I have been going to that store since I was in my early 30s and I’m 46 this year
I hope they all close down Bad Attitude especially Head Office.
I was in a Poundland Store I was nearly ran into by a child on a scooter I asked the parent to stop the child scooting as Im elderly and disabled. He verbally threatened me and then threatened to hit me with the scooter. I asked for a Manager none came a shop assistant came out and said he couldn’t do anything.
The family came towards us and started threatening the store assistant he then said he would call securityi I said I would call the police, the security came as the family were leaving the store I took a photo of their backs. Nothing was done so I left I telephoned Poundland Head Office I was spoken to abruptly and rudely by two different members of staff they did not ask for my details just said it’s not our responsibility.
No wonder they are loosing money and closing down with this attitude their customers get threatened and they take no responsibility!!
They don’t even review these complaints that says it all! I am now going to send them an email .
id like to form a complaint against…
id like to form a complaint against this shop as i went in with my mother anf my auntie and cousin and my mother was holding 2 rebulls which i can promise wasnt for me it was for her and her sidter and the lady (one of your employees by the way) said she couldnt serve my mother as she just assumed it was for me and my cousin IT WAS NOT. so that means mx mother and auntie couldnt drink there desired drinks which they were just trying to innocently buy. please sort this and give my mum a redbull for free as she was crying about it, im not one to report about something so silly but this is a serious matter. thankyou gor your tume hopefully the next time i hear from you it will be sorted.
Well not so much an experience why are…
Well not so much an experience why are you stopping home delivery , no thought about those who are unable to leave their house due to illness or disability , or those who do not drive ,or do not have bus services nearby.
It feels kind of like I've been robbed!
I don't spend a massive amount there but use it for the regular small items like tablets, shampoo, batteries etc. My local poundland was closing down and I ended up spending about £50 on items (lots were more than £1 like rechargeable batteries, Earphones etc). There were also lots of 25p items that I absolutely did not need but bought purely because they were 25p. I was with my mum who kept telling the cashier when items were marked as 25p and the cashier kept saying "I know, I can see, I work here..." so I felt too uncomfortable to point any of them out. When I was on my way home I worked it out and had been charged £5 too much. While that isn't loads it was because the 25p stuff had gone through as £1, or 50p or even £2, which annoyed me, so I emailed. After lots of photos for evidence Poundland sent me a "goodwill voucher" for £5 to return my overcharged amount.... but I have to use that in the next 2 months (it's valid for 3 months but the date is from my complaint and not from the date I received it which was almost 4 weeks later). I also have to spend it in one go, but I only need Ibuprofen, which is limited to buying 3 packs, so I just have to spend £4 on stuff I don't need (I also just spent over £50 there and there is absolutely nothing at all I need from there now). It just seems wrong and certainly not what I would expect from a big chain.
I will also add that I have stage 4 cancer so keeping track of the total in the shop was beyond my fried brain and returning to the store was beyond my tired body.
The Peckham branch of Poundland needs a complete overhaul. The CEO needs to pay an announced visit.…
I visited the Poundland store in Peckham, Aylesham centre on Thursday 7th August with a label director from an international country.
This branch is my local poundland store and been buying here for a number of years but recently noticed the decline in good customer service, staff with very bad work ethics abd attitude. No respect for the people that walk through the doors of this particular branch.
On the date above, approximately around 18:15, my friend and I went in to purchase a few toiletries, as we emptied our basket the female staff that was tending to the self-serve tills picked up my basket, I asked her nicely to return it back to me as I need to put my shopping back in the basket after paying to step aside and pack my items away, in order not to hold up the queue behind me. She asked, why do I need back the basket? I responded by saying, I just told you, I need it to put my items in to step aside and pack them away.
She refuses, I went and took back the basket and put my items in it.
What followed after this by this staff was disgraceful. No one in the vicinity could believe her behaviour, this includes the security who was standing probably 10 metres away.
My international guest had to asked the security if sge was well and if this is how customers are treated when they come in the store to spend their money.
This staff member had what looked like a picked up aid device in her hand wielding it behind me as I packed my shopping away, with on lookers looking on in shocked as no one could believe her behaviour and which was not normal. This was a black woman cursing out another black woman telling her to go back home, run to your home and dont cone back. This is ridiculous and a danger to customers. She also went after two other customers with the long stick in her hand. (She is a dangerous woman) put in the store to serve customers.
I requested to speak to the manager or supervisor and was told they have left for the day, bearing in mind that the store closes at 20:00 and this incident took place at 18:15. No one in charge was there to take my complaint or witness the behaviour of this worker.
Her behaviour was atrocious.
It seems like no respect is given for going into 'Poundland, Peckham' to spend your hard earned cash.
Its DISGRACEFUL.
I wonder who interviewed her and see it fit to employ her to serve in a customer service role?
If I could give '0' star for this store, I would.
Misleading Pricing and Poor Customer Service – Cortonwood, Barnsley Store
Visited the Cortonwood, Barnsley Poundland store today (6th Aug 2025) with my grandmother. I saw Walkers Sensations clearly advertised at 2 for £3 (normally £2 each). After purchasing them at 15:50, I noticed the discount hadn’t been applied. I immediately raised this with staff and was offered a refund if I wasn’t happy with the £2 price, which confused me—I just wanted the price honoured.
Staff told me the offer had ended that morning, yet the sign was still up, with no end date shown. When I questioned this, a supervisor refused to honour the price and said it was “their decision.” I asked for a refund of the full £13.50 I’d spent and left.
I later spoke to customer service at 16:01 who confirmed Poundland’s policy is to honour displayed prices—which makes the store’s refusal even more frustrating.
In this economic climate, it’s astonishing that a business would rather lose a customer over £1—especially when they were at fault. I won’t be shopping at Poundland again. Poor service, poor training, and poor attitude.
Would not enter there bury store....
Would not enter there bury store as they have a member of staff there that is on the sex offenders register for child abuse yet there allowing him round children I went in with my son to find a convicted child predator in there and walked straight back out I will not give my custom to a business that condones this especially when people leave there children in the toy isle whilst shopping not knowing there's a predator in there
