Pure One DAB radio
Is have a Pure One DAB radio. After a while all users are reporting that the rubber coating on these radios perishes and becomes a sticky mess. Wouldn’t by another Pure product.
Pure Evoke C-D6 with faulty display…
Pure Evoke C-D6 with faulty display within 1 year. 350Euro!! really hard case to repair under garantee. My online store refunded me completely. Pure can keep the radio and burn it!
Please avoid Pure Radios if you can.
Please avoid Pure Radios if you can.
You can’t speak to them by phone or chat so you submit a ticket for an email response.
My sales questions were answered relatively quickly and I bought an Elan.
It took 3 weeks to arrive, their site blames Brexit. Fair enough.
The unit has a fault. Submitted a new ticket and they advised a factory reset which I did, but that did not resolve the issue.
Following that Pure simply do not respond, it is completely impossible to get hold of them or a response out of them.
So despite their T&C’s supporting returns, warranty claims and a guarantee it’s a complete lie as it’s impossible to get a returns label from them. Their way of dodging the issue, which of course is not legal.
Pure must be in terminal decline, either going into liquidation or being closed down for not honouring return or warranties.
Buy something else if you can. Don’t expect any help, contact or service if you do buy from them.
erratic quality
I have a Pure one mi. It's not been used a huge amount and is kept in my study inside the house - so good conditions. The mains adapter/power lead seems to have failed and replacement is just shy of £20. Of course the plug is totally sealed, so can't even see if it is a simple fuse failure. That's expensive! My wife bought it for me as she was impressed with her earlier Pure one with built in rechargeable battery and that has been used daily for years. The inconsistency makes me unwilling to recommend Pure as we shall not buy another.
Dreadful Product
Bought a Pure 1s radio in next to no time the display failed.
Do not buy dreadful product, dreadful company.
absolute shocking
Paid 500£ for an electric scooter.. after a couple of months the head/ handle bar started to work its way loose... So Logically first stop was for them to send out replacement screws.. easy problem solved.. or maybe.. that absolutely point blank refused... I even offered to buy them.. they point blank refused saying they had no faculty to send spare parts.out.. They dont sell spare parts. they only had the showroom/workshop showroom to sort out issues. And turned.it back on me saying I was refusing their offers
.. I live a 30£ /2hour plus tube fares from London on which they don't allow scooters.. their advise was 'hide the scooter' .. Tbh I'm dumb founded that a nation wide company can sell electronic vehicles with no spares division and no customer care phone line is beyond my comprehension.. especially given these days where sustainable and renewable are key issues
Known fault represents poor value for money over long-term
An otherwise good quality digital radio, the Pure S2 is demonstrably not built for longevity. Be advised that buying a Pure S2 radio (I paid £130 in 2013) carries with it a high risk that the display unit will eventually fail, with the result that tuning becomes a lottery. Pure's customer serices department suggest turning it off on and on again (!) but offer no other fix or recourse for what, it becomes clear when reading around, is a known defect. Surely something they should have addressed by now.
Pure Evoke H3
I am rarely moved to write a bad review but this company deserves a good kick up the rear. It appears to be customer friendly but alas once your radio is outside the 2 year warranty period Pure washes it's hands and does not want to know. Overall the Evoke H3 is a good radio but it is let down by some cheap electronic components and soldering which fail at just about the time of warranty expiry. From other customer experiences and reviews this appears to be endemic with this company. My advise to the electronics retailers and to you dear reader is look elsewhere for a digital radio until Pure improves it's customer service and product quality control.
Their website doesn’t work
Their website doesn’t work, spent an hour trying to find a remote, nothing.I like their radios though.
This company refused to replace or…
This company refused to replace or repair my Pure Evoke flow internet radio. They offered me a measly 20% discount on NEW radios only. The website is a joke; I have only one word for Pure.com :- ROBERTS!
Ordered a mains adapter for my Jongo S3…
Ordered a mains adapter for my Jongo S3 speaker with a 2-5 day dispatch. Over two weeks and still no adapter. Email querying why, no response, tried to call several times, no answer or able to leave a message. Given one star only so I could post a review. Disgusting service, avoid like the plague.
Poor build quality
Terrible build quality. I've purchased lots of Pure products over the years including 2 x digital radios, a pure Jongo and most recently a Disovr smark speaker. The 1st radio seemed to last well, the second one not so well and no the Discove has failed after only 2.5 years.
With the Discovr I am unable to change the wifi details to connect to a new router and it won't turn on unless plugged in. Its out of warranty so no point contacting customer services as it's clear from other reviews they won't be any assistance. But this is the last pure product I will buy. The products look and sound good when they work but the reliability is not present any more
Had a fault with my radio from John…
Had a fault with my radio from John Lewis. Contacted Pure straight away because the seller couldn't help me directly. Pure found a quick solution for my problem and replaced it for me directly.
Great company with great service.
Missing radio
I ordered a radio , after 3 weeks I contact them for an update on delivery or tracking number . After 2 more weeks still no radio or update.
AVOID this Appalling Quality and Service
Having had the misfortune to buy a Pure Evoke, it developed a fault and was replaced after much hassle, all within the warranty period. The replacement developed a fault after one year. PURE.com state that the replacement does not come with a new warranty. The warranty is for the period of purchase and NOT the unit itself. The quality of these products are so poor then that they will not give a warranty on a new one. The offer of a paltry 20% discount on a new one you ask yourself WHY would anyone buy a new one when two have already failed? PURE.com should replace the faulty item but they refuse. Appalling service and an even worse quality of PURE product. Purchase at your peril! AVOID…AVOID…AVOID
I have sent 16 messages through support…
I have sent 16 messages through support within the last 8 months and not got one single reply, not one, purchased a pure t4 and has never charged, pathetic company, just avoid
They do not honour warranty
Bought one of their radios under two years ago so it should still be under warranty (they give a two year warranty). The asked me for all details which I provided and then they told me to go back to Amazon. Amazon sent me to them as it's over a year. I replied, explained this and now they have started ignoring emails. I'm now in there process of looking at my legal options with my credit card company. Looking at the reviews here, seems I'm not the only who finds them to be less than reputable. Go elsewhere, gofer a brand like Sony who will look after you as a customer.
Thats two I have now had issues with
Thats two I have now had issues with. Never again..... Total rubbish
I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could. Bought a Pure c-f6 from John Lewis in November 2018. The sound has died from speakers. It is, it appears a common fault (wish I had known) and relates to a failure of the headphone socket which for some reason thinks there are headphones plugged in, turns off the speakers and it all becomes silent. If you plug a headphone plug in and wiggle it around the sound comes back for awhile but goes again. I have contacted Pure and John Lewis who say as it’s out of warranty they can do nothing. Pure to my surprise concluded the product is faulty (ho Ho who knew!!) but they don’t repair or offer spare parts. Unbelievable. They offered me a discount on a replacement but as if I would now. Best to buy a Roberts or similar.
Not The Quality I Expect
Bought an Evoke Pure Flow several years ago. Used it very little as quicker and easier to use a simple DAB radio or my PC for Internet stations.
I went to use it today and found the display no longer worked. Prompt reply from Pure technical support (hence two stars rather one), but not good news.
"Since the radio is out of warranty, we have to inform that we are unfortunately no longer able to offer a repair solution or spare parts for your product as it would not be economical. What we can suggest is that you get your device checked at a local repair shop as they might be able to help with your issue."
I was also offered a discount on a new model.
I'm not prepared to risk spending on something that may not be "economical" to repair and especially when it was never that easy to use.
As for another Pure product, no way. I expect electronic goods kept in a suitable environment and not subjected to harsh use or handling to last.
