RAC Tyres Reviews

Easy process, and great experience overall.

Excellent from start to finish. Great service and a reasonable price.

From booking to tyre fitting the process was excellent. The garage used was not one of the big names who wanted £20 for a appointment that day. but friendly and cheaper for the same tyre Nice waiting area with vending area if required and excellent staff professional fitting Thanks wouldn’t use anyone else

I needed 2 new Continental tyres for my Discovery and after a Google search came up with RAC Tyres as the most competitive option. It was easy to select the required tyre, and I was offered a local fitter (F1 Auto Centres). I had a pre-booked time slot of 1530-1630, so I dropped the car off and after an hour returned to collect. All was done with no paperwork as all had been completed online. So overall a very good experience.

Fitter was very helpfully and did a thoroughly professional job. Easy to book online. Prices well presented with add on options explained

I had a problem with what I booked - I emailed RAC tyres twice to try and get it resolved and I completed their feedback questionnaire explaining the problem - nobody ever contacted me.

Efficient and everything is at your fingertips!

I recently had a pair of rear tyres fitted, and the entire experience was outstanding. The booking process was straightforward.

I needed a specific tyre fitting quickly. It was all booked and fitted within 24 hours.

Fast efficient service with the work completed competently.
I attended James Price’s garage in Pool Street Walsall to have the two front tyres replaced and the realignment of both wheels completed. Very efficient and explains why they are an RAC approved garage.

BUYER BEWARE!

Wouldn't ask them for tyres for my kids tricycle.

They supplied the wrong tyre (run flat that wasn't advertised as run flat on their site) and then took £30 off my refund for the pleasure.

When they first offered the refund there was no mention that they were keeping the fitting fee for the tyre they sent that was wrong.

When I called back to complain it was met with "oh that's an attendance fee" even though it clearly states on their invoice "mobile tyre fitting" - my argument is no tyre was actually fitted.

Terrible customer service, speaking over me constantly and just wanted to argue rather than sort out the issue.

I hope everyone reading this review thinks twice before using them because if you have any issues they will fleece you!

And finally I hope RAC think the £30 was worth it, you've lost me as regular customer and gained a negative review.

In future go to tyreleader.co.uk - much better range and service.

Choosing the right tyres on the RAC website was super easy and I could secure a tyre fitting appointment on the same day within hours. Prices and offers are great. Best brands for less price (Good year, Bridgestone, Michelin etc). Nothing to say any bad about this or no need for suggestions for any improvement

RAC tyres were very helpful when I needed to change a fitter and their prices are fair.

Very easy , once I found the site to choose a fitter in proximity to where I was and at a time that suited me.
The site recommended suitable tyres and was able to identify the size I needed, very easily.
I then chose the tyres based upon my desired budget.

Booking the service was fairly easy and okay for price. My problem came after the tyre was fitted where there was a problem. No phone line provided unless an emergency, which the issue wasn't. I submitted a ticket, waited 48 hours and nothing back. I then sent an email, a week later nothing back. Sent another email from a different email address beginning of August and it is now 13 days later and still no response. Pathetic customer service and will not be using again.

Good prices and you choose fitment center and time. Everything worked like clockwork.

I strongly recommend that you don’t use this service. I booked in advance and paid over £700 up front. On the day of fitting, the subcontracted fitting company cancelled citing staff sickness as the reason. RAC could only offer a fitting with another subcontractor a week later than the original appointment. When I said that wasn’t good enough they just said refund was the only option. Worse they won’t refund until the subcontractor has returned the tyres so I am entirely dependent on their goodwill to do so. The RAC model is broken, no buffer for staff shortages and they hand things off to third parties. I will never use this service again.

got new tyres installed the next day just a mile away from home with a really good price; magic!
