Dreadful experience
Dreadful experience ! Ordered champagne . Order confirmed by email .Cancelked on day of delivery. Tried to reorder however price had escalated but in stock. Contacted customer service to be told product out of stock as to cancellation. Not true ! Told email would follow. Didn’t happen! Total dishonest practice! Not what I expect from Sainsbury’s.
good customer service
good customer service this security guard bought me a bottle of water because my card kept on getting declined.
Click and collect, when ?
Item ordered on line and advised that delivery would be 24th Novenber and they would message to confirm click and collect time. Nothing received and trying to chase this up was impossible by phone, no help at all
No Show Delivery
My order of baby formula didn’t arrive at the time I had booked, nor did anybody contact me to tell me the item was out of stock. Phoned their customer service team and was left on hold for half an hour. I was then cut off and nobody bothered to ring me back. Absolutely disgraceful customer service.
Dreadful Customer Service!
I could not turn up to collect my shopping (click and collect) as I had a problem with my car. I rang Sainsbury’s and the customer service was dreadful. Feigned sympathy for my car problem and said not to worry at all they would help me,(doubtless reading from a script) as I said I needed to change to a delivery. Then said they weren’t able to help I would have to have a refund, which would take 5 working days and I would get an email confirming this. Also said they would inform them that I could not attend for the C&C. No email received, and I get a call from the click and collect person asking why I had not picked up my shopping apparently no one had told them. I have now had to order more shopping on a delivery and will have
To sit in a long phone queue again, waiting to chase my refund as he obviously has done nothing about my problem, and just moved on to the next caller. I have been a customer for a long time and their service has become really really poor.
What's happening to Sainsburys service
I visited Sainsbury's Kidderminster yesterday and once again was overcharged. I was charged for 2 boxes of cereals and only bought 1. A few weeks ago I was overcharged £70.00 . I had bought 1 pack of green beans and was charged for 70 packs
Last week the Napolina spaghetti I bought was black and mouldy at the ends where the box had been in water.
I was reimbursed but I am sick of having to wait to see someone in customer services as there is always a queue. Only one person at counter. I shall not be shopping at Sainsburys again.
I have had the most amazing help.
I am 84 and completely bemused by modern technology. I have just had an amazing, patient person from Sainsburys helping me sort out my order. She was so kind and helpful and hopefully things are now on an even keel.
I think sainsburys online and shopping…
I think sainsburys online and shopping experience is overpriced and very expensive in the end I had to shop else were due to sainsburys products like flora proactiv priced at £4.50 and else were it is priced at £3.50 i left shopping online with them and won't be going back and the customer service centre is very poor avoid at all costs I would shop else were for a better shopping experience

Can't tell me why it hasn't arrived when I called yesterday evening.
No update from them to tell me when my shopping will be arriving.
£76.00. I have wasted as I need the items for my children.
I need my milk as that's what I live on the most due to being unable to swallow food oral.
You sainsburys are a joke.
Breadless
I only went into Sainsbury’s Macclesfield for two things multi seed flatbreads and a tiger loaf, both shelves completely empty 2:30 Saturday afternoon, bloody hopeless

Excruciating 'White Noise' for 'Ear-Sensitive' Visitors
Extractor Fans – Restaurant Hub, Tamworth
Upon completion of a store extension (2009) and provision of a resulting upper storey restaurant, the assembly was evidently a visual afterthought: a self-supporting structure independent of the existing store and into which a gallery arrangement provided a Ground Floor extension, of which over which 30% was exposed to the restaurant above.
A move away from the traditional 1980s construction techniques saw the new extension minimally clad within the upstairs restaurant area, and with exposed support beams and ceiling roof profile from which ‘Natural Daylight tubes’ provided illumination.
The whole creation was incongruous with the existing architecture and the resulting upper concrete floor containing the restaurant facilities produced an ugly underfloor experience for shoppers; it presented a bare painted concrete shell that precluded the use of common lighting systems and looked every bit an ‘add-on’ to what was previously an aesthetically pleasing building .
Of more significance was the new Restaurant Extraction Fan system fitted: from outside, the two upper-storey wall-mounted exit ducts proved distractingly loud when first introduced and of an extremely annoying and penetrating pitch - a sound that both ‘carried’ and was acoustically painful to witness at close range.
Whilst located in an ‘alley’ between the extension and neighbouring shop units, to stand anywhere near these was an audibly excruciating experience (coupled with the pervasive and sickening stench of spent cooking fat discharged), yet the store made provision for an employee’s ‘Smoking Shelter’ behind a picket fence constructed immediately below the source of the same aggravative fumes and sound.
Externally, a source of noise and olfactory nuisance to staff, neighbouring businesses and customers visiting the vicinity within immediate earshot of the same outlet ducts; neither should have been granted initial Blueprint Planning Permission by any Local Authority prior to construction and installation, nor should the same operational configuration have remained unreviewed and, had this occurred, been subsequently rescinded post-instalment.
I only visited the upstairs café once as far back as early 2010: the vibration and noise levels/pitch within the café area saw our party leave after half a cup of coffee: two members suffering from Tinnitus and wearing hearing aids had symptoms aggravated by the ‘harmonics’ produced by two powerful extraction fans creating vibrations throughout the ‘new’ structure and causing nausea and vertigo.
Nearly 15 years later: upon my last visit to the store, I noted cracked ceilings and water ingestion stains originating from the Café floor above the TU Clothing section in the 2009 extension: several pipe trunking panels had been exposed through damp and decay and the annoying rhythmic buzzing of the upstairs Extraction units seemed louder than ever: I actually touched an external wall and could feel the vibration that these were creating throughout the structure.
Within just a few minutes of our arrival, my mobility -challenged 90-year-old Mother (wearing a recently purchased latest-generation set of hearing aids, and whom had visited to explore the TU clothing range), was reduced to tears in begging me to get her out of the store immediately as the vibration and noise was agonizing - clearly the new aids were picking up 'harmonics' and amplifying these to an intolerably painful level from the same source.
As a direct result, we will now shop elsewhere: I don't need the 'annoying white noise' experience and neither does my Mother need the pain caused by interference with her hearing aids.
This cannot be doing any good whatsoever to the ongoing health and safety of either employees of Sainsbury’s, or those of its Restaurant Hub Concessions, many of whom may be on National Minimum or Living Wage Zero-Hour Contracts, and thus too afraid to raise a complaint for fear of reprisal or dismissal.
What seems clear from recent scaffolding surrounding this extension, is that something is significantly wrong – and judging by my recent instore experience, this hardly comes as any surprise given the unpleasant shopping environment witnessed.
Having visited the same retail park since to other stores; by night, it is possible to hear these same noisy units from more than 200 metres distance – an invasive and irritating sound that sets apart the Sainsbury’s store as being the loudest occupant of the Ventura / Jolly Sailor Retail Park complex by a considerable margin – and not one to which anyone of a ‘noise sensitive’ or Middle-Ear afflicted ailment should visit without caution as to how much of a risk to their health this presents.
Bought a decent bottle of champagne for…
Bought a decent bottle of champagne for my daughter’s 21st birthday ( Click and Collect ). She opened the box to find a security tag still on it. Classy ! Had to call head office as there was no answer from the store itself. They eventually agreed to send someone round to take the tag off. We had to change our birthday plan for her as a result. They didn’t seem to understand that this wasn’t acceptable but were proud that someone agreed to drive round, somewhat missing the point. Interested to see that the majority of feedback here is very negative. I thought Sainsbury’s cared about their customers. We’ll go elsewhere in future.
White Lillie's blooming value for money
My Lillie's were purchased 28 October they flowered beautifully. Still blooming a week later. Only today 5 November petals started to drop. Well done sainsbury price competitive. Very good value for money
Cashless Desert
Hornsey branch have virtually no manned tills on with massive queues when they open one ,many refuse to take cash this is totally unacceptable, when are they going to realise old & working people need these essential services .Until these services are restored my whole family are boycotting this store
Really gone down hill!
Having been a loyal customer of Sainsbury’s for many years I have an annual anytime delivery pass which costs around £80 a year. I have done this over the past few years as the local store isn’t easy to get to. Over the past few months the service has really gone down hill. Orders arrive crushed, best before days are either close or like the other week out of date on some cooked chicken. To top it all off my delivery didn’t even arrive Saturday. No phone call, or contact to explain why and money still taken. I tried calling the customer service but this all seems outsourced abroad now and quite frankly they don’t seem to care or be able to sort anything out and it’s impossible to call the local stores as it just goes back to the call centre.
I made an official complaint about the delivery that never arrived which was logged and a call back promised from a local store manager where the delivery come from. Anyway to cut a long story short no call and no contact and yes no delivery still!!!
Don’t be a fool like me and get tied into an annual pass as you can’t then easily go else where without losing the £80!! Avoid Sainsbury’s !!!

Poor customer service
Poor customer service. Short staff. Disappointing. I used to rate Sainsbury’s as being a bit superior in comparison to other supermarkets but they are all the same now. Why pay the little extra? No service.
Been using the Sainsbury's local on…
Been using the Sainsbury's local on Woolwich Road, Greenwich for years. The day staff who have been working there for years, except for one lady called Maxine are very loud and rude. They do not know how to say please or thank you and quite often walk away from the till when you approach. It has not only happened to me but have seen them do it to others as well. Especially one female who calls herself Lady Bee. She is especially rude. They are also chatting about things which is not relevant to the operation of the store but their private lives, quite loudly and ignoring the customers when wearing those headphones/communication ear pieces. Very rarely see Maxine, who is very polite and helpful as it seems she works out the back in the bakery. The majority of the staff should take a leaf out of Maxine's book. Because of the rudeness of the majority of day staff, including the tall manager, I prefer to walk up to Iceland's to get my shopping where all the staff are nice
