Shan't be renewing pass.
When our pass runs out we will be leaving. So many items are short dated that I think you are just passing on to online customers. Had the occasional delivery from alternate supplier which has proved a much better experience. Delivery driver last month had no idea how to deal with the public , missed half the order.
HORRIFIC SERVICE
Sainsbury's Store Loughton. If l could give minus one star l would have as what l have witnessed today was absolutely terrible for this one member of staff. At the Self Service, queues to both basket and trolley sections were very long. Six formers from the nearby school with other shoppers were waiting for 5/10 minutes to be seen to. I witnessed customers were having trouble with their meal deals, their reduced items were not scanning the reduced prices as the reduced bar codes were not correctly concealing the original bar codes. She had to do alot of smart shop checks and also full smart shop scans whilst other customers were waiting to be seen to. I witnessed some customers walking out without paying. At its busiest period this one employee was rushed off her feet and l heard her calling for extra help as an angry customer was angrily shouting at her for waiting over 10 minutes to be seen to. Literally all the lights were flashing red and this poor employee was running around like a headless chicken. There was 3 tills open and the queues there were also long.
Sainsbury's are not treating their staff well and this is affecting customers through the lack/shortage of employees on the shopfloor when it is very busy. If this standard of service continues, l will have to shop elsewhere in the future. The customer service pre covid and pre self service checkout was so much better and also way before covid, you never use to find items on the shelf out of date by no more than one day only. Now items are sometimes out of date by weeks/months
Expensive and frustrating
I have been shopping at the Sainsbury's in Loughton for 10+ years, and it got noticeably worse after Covid, but never really recovered, not sure why that should still be the case some 3 years on. Today I tried to buy minced beef and was horrified by the prices, 9.25 for the mince I used to buy, and yes, it is organic, but it was 4.95 until recently, so what has caused this enormous jump? It's now more expensive than steak! This shop also regularly discontinues popular products without any explanation, for example, the Heinz pasta sauces, to name just one of MANY over the years. It is very poor at keeping track of stock levels for popular items, often leaving them unrestocked for weeks. Greedy and poorly managed, appalling.
Poorly maintained toilet facilities
After visiting the Sainsburys store in Devizes many years ago when I used to live there, I returned today and was again extremely disappointed about the cleanliness and overall condition of their toilet facilities. They stunk! There was urine all over the seat and floor, the paper was jammed, and people were forced to use one on the sanitary bin. The general look and feel is beyond shabby and the standard is below what you'd expect in this country. Please make sure that they are cleaned more regularly, and for goodness sake, spend a little more money on maintaining them.
Rough sainsburys in Whitchurch
Staff are ignorant and service is slow most of the staff don’t care about anything except talking with each other Nantwhich is much better
Sainsbury's 'helpline'
Tried calling Sainsbury's. Useless automated service whereby you go round and round through different options only to hear pre-recorded messages.
I’m very disappointed with Sainsbury’s…
I’m very disappointed with Sainsbury’s in Sutton. I visited there recently and parked my car in their car park. After doing a big shop, I went and got a coffee. Two weeks later , I received a penalty charge notice from Euro Car Parks. Apparently I’d gone over the 90 minutes parking allowance. Sainsbury’s car parks have always offered 3 hours parking , so I didn’t think for a minute I had gone over my parking allowance.
It’s really upset me that I've been given a £100 parking fine, when I spend a lot of money with Sainsbury’s doing my shopping.
Not a happy customer and I’m sure others have been caught out as well.

SAINSBURYS ARE FANTASTIC ALL STAFF ARE AMAZING WORK VERY HARD TO HELP YOU. THEY ALL NEED PROMOTING.
For a supermarket that size not to…
For a supermarket that size not to provide toilets is very poor, even Lidl which is a lot smaller have toilets, just shows Sainsbury's are not thinking of their customers.
Ipswich Hadleigh Road
Hadleigh road Ipswich store - management please wake up!!! I am a frequent loyal customer in store as I work nearby. The level of staffing has decreased so much - I am expected to scan my own items or go through a self checkout when mostly 1 or 2 staffed checkouts are available, then wait several minutes whilst staff have to approve items. Tonight there was a lovely polite lady literally flying between the checkouts helping everyone with red lights on - people were agitated annoyed and impatient and your poor lady you designated to deal with all that had to take the brunt?! Been like this for weeks now. Blatant disregard for customers and staff alike. If this continues I will not shop with you again and neither will many others. Never see management on the floor - suggest you have a look on your shop floor particularly checkouts, we will not accept this! Profit making at its worst 👎
Wanted to register for online shopping
Wanted to register for online shopping. System couldn't find my address. Manual update not available.Tried "chat which ultimately stated that my address was not registered with Royal Mail. Considering I pick up my mail every week from the local delivery office, I think that their system wants a overhaul. They're right! Your wrong! Arrogant much!!
Will shop elsewhere.
Ordered a delivery
Ordered a delivery, guy came to deliver said he had to call in, he said the payment had not cleared l, so I said just come back later, called bank plenty there to cover it, called sainsburys to pay for it, No you cannot pay as 2 cards have been used, foilrst person I spoke to kept talking over me, and was quite rude and unhelpful, kept saying we need to rebook for tomorrow, No I do t want tomorrow it's only. 1.30pm, no one I spoke to would help, said my order was cancelled, it wasn't, after calling umpteen people, in sainsburys and the bank, I had to give up in disgust, told them I really annoyed a d I am now going to go to TESCO , I think it will be a while I go back to sainsburys
Sainsburys buffet food
Have never had pre made buffet food before , but at my father's funeral we had all the food from Sainsbury's, it was perfect and will definitely use then next time we have a party, it's so convenient .
Issues with a voucher
Issues with a voucher, using it online which was a technical website fault. However, I was reassured this is being fixed. The customer service person was learning but did her best and was pleasant in what sounded like a noisy call centre environment.
Food good value, for basic range. Shop staff at Tadcaster, lovely and friendly.
Going the extra mile
Brilliant young lady didn't get her name personally came and informed me of changes in the way you get your offers etc she was so helpful than you Sittingbourne store
Onsite Parking
I dont know what it is with this store but every time you go in there is a lack of enforcement with the mother and baby and disabled parking. To many vehicles park on these which are not in need
Although outside the store needs to do more to enforce
Really beginning to not want to shop at…
Really beginning to not want to shop at Sainsbury’s anymore after decades of using this brand, and my husband is feeling the same.
The authentic Customer Service is being killed by the Self Service machines not working consistently at Bishop’s Stortford back in May and I really felt a sense of ‘endurance’ of me by the staff member in charge.
Had just used Asda and M&S tills in the days running up to this experience, and things were smoother and much more ‘customer considered.’
The new Nectar online won’t let either myself or my husband get passed our passwords not working, and then tried using the BotChat system and my phone ran out of battery by the end of the whole process, so didn’t get any further.
Was told at BS store that if I needed to update my Nectar app in order to access my points, that there was a likely loss of losing my points already on my card (which I’d left at home), and I was given a tel no to ring and sort it out again myself.
Sainsburys, you aren’t ’Customer Centred’ anymore; you ARE ‘serve Sainsbury's systems that benefit Sainsburys Centred’ and people don’t want to do your work for you.
These are First World issues in the light of what is going on in the world, I’m fully aware, but you are getting away with not caring about those you are meant to be serving, so either look after us or lose us because many of us aren’t going to bother to wait for you to realise how quickly you are forgetting the humans you are meant to be interacting with, and if this is how customers are feeling, I can only imagine how some of the staff are feeling too…
Beckton Sainsbury's Do not use this…
Beckton Sainsbury's Do not use this place. Parking ticket for Staying 2 hours On SUNDAY!
Visited the Specservers. The appointment for two of us, then after we use the TU clothing, Argos, Habitat, some Groceries. And Timpson for keys. We manage to do all that with 2 hours and 20 minutes. We spend almost £1300 As a thanks we received a parking tickect and turn out to be the most stressful shopping experience we ever had.
They have all these services and expecting customers do all that less than in 2 hours.
What a JOKER S and Clowns and Comedians.
You may have to ware Roller Blades to visit this place.
In terms of Specsrevers Drive up to Lakesides where parking is free all day all week. Or Drive up to Westminster where parking free on Sundays.

Ipswich Hadleigh road store..
Last week I booked a saver slot for my shopping to be delivered on Sunday. My confirmation from Sainsbury’s on Sunday morning saying my shopping will be arriving between the hours 1600-1700. Sunday dinner time I get a call from a young lady saying that my shopping can’t be delivered due to sickness. She gave me two options, I can come and collect or we try another day. We tried for the following day and they couldn’t fulfill it. So that means I had to cancel my order. She said she was very sorry. But not good enough. Sainsbury’s could try and put that shopping in a taxi and got it delivered. The lady also promised to compensate £10. I never received any thing and also still waiting for my money to be paid back into my account. Disgusting service from a massive company. I normally have my shopping delivered once a month. But now Sainsbury’s has lost my custom for good
I visited theSainsburys at 614 Finchley…
I visited the Sainsburys Store at 614 Finchley Road in the morning of 21st June, 2025 Golders Green. When I was at the check out scanning my products, a very helpful employee called Viibha assisted me with the scanning of some large items. Every time I go to that Sainsburys. Vibha is always so helpful and always offers a 5 star customer experience. Thank you Vibha.
