I was served by a lady called Ashleigh. She was extremely friendly and helpful (other staff did smile and say hello) but Ashleigh put so much time and effort into helping me find the right sofa, with the correct additional functions that I would benefit from. She also took the time to talk about my room layout and size so we could figure out what would look and work best.
Her knowledge of the sofas on offer, functions, fabrics and colours available was so in depth.
I didnt feel any pressure from her at all and she didn't rush me.
I didnt buy on the first day I went in, I went home to think and look at all the information I was provided with. I went back into the store four days later where I was greeted by Ashleigh again.
Although I went in with the purpose to buy, Ashleigh still went over all the details of functions, fabrics and colours again to ensure I was happy and that everything would be perfect for me.
I couldn't have asked for more from her.
The sofas available were amazing and I loved all the additional features like the built in massager, heat, speakers and lights.
I cant wait for my sofas to arrive.

From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a friendly smile and an offer of assistance. We were able to look and try to our leisure and then Alison was able to walk us through all the different sofas using her handy Ipad! Really great experience in a nice environment. Went to have a look at the sofa sale, found one perfect for our living room. The saleswoman Ashleigh was brilliant, and helped us customise the sofa and then go through the finance process. Very smooth process and relaxing atmosphere.

We had visited the store to look at buying a reclining armchair. We had a warm welcome from the team on entering the store. Alyson was very helpful showing me the chairs she thought would be suitable for me, as I am quite short. She was very knowledgeable and helped me to use the recliner, lumbar and headrest functions. She also went through the array of colours and fabrics to choose from. As this was the first shop I had looked at I didn't buy that day. Alyson emailed me the details of the chair I had liked the most. I returned the following week. I was pleased that Alyson was there and she took me back to the chair I had liked. She took me through the ordering process and explained everything clearly. I felt fully supported and appreciated her advice and guidance.
My daughter and son-in-law who came with me also ended up ordering two settees with Alyson!
They also appreciated her excellent customer service and time spent with us all.
Highly recommend the shop, the fabulous choice and the customer service.

Only one small thing.... Although a picture was taken of my front door, I did not expect pictures taken of my hall way and lounge area where settee was placed. Did not see the necessity of that.

Very pleasant and helpful member of staff assisted us.
The sofa we wanted to look at wasn’t in stock at the showroom but we were shown a very similar one to try out.
We decided on our original choice and Russell was very patient while we decided on what colour leather to choose.
It was a very long journey to the Coventry store having to take 4 buses there and 4 back but after the service received we felt it was worth it.

I would also strongly encourage anyone considering this company to look at the Facebook page “SCS Sofa & Furniture Complaints”, which has over 14,000 members. It contains countless customer stories describing faulty sofas and ongoing issues, as well as concerns about how complaints are handled.

I purchased a 3-seater recliner with media console, armchair, and footstool from the Belford range in September 2025, delivered in December. Unfortunately, issues started immediately. The armchair back did not align properly or stay fixed, the fabric already looked crumpled and worn within a week despite being brand new, and there were visible scratches. One of the recliners also made a loud clunking noise.

After reporting the faults, a technician confirmed the issues and a replacement was arranged.

However, the replacement delivered in March 2026 developed further problems within 30 days. The media console stopped working entirely, and the Bluetooth connection to both the TV and my phone kept cutting in and out.

When I reported this, I was told parts had already been ordered without any proper inspection, which I found unacceptable. At that point, I pushed for a refund, which was eventually agreed—fortunately just within the 30-day window.

The sofas have now been collected (May 2026) and I have received my refund. After two faulty deliveries and nearly seven months of ongoing issues and disruption, I have now purchased a sofa from elsewhere.

Overall, a very disappointing experience and not one I would repeat.

The Sofa that we received was dirty and had stains all around. We were told that the sofa would be cleaned and packed before delivery. But this wasn't the case.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. From the minute we walked into the shop, Tom was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely lovely to deal with. There was absolutely no pushy sales approach, just honest advice and real expertise. He went above and beyond to help us find the best deal and the right fit for our family, making the whole process so easy and stress-free.

We also needed help arranging removal/wrap for our old sofa, and they sorted that too which made such a difference. Customer service like this is hard to come by these days. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new sofa!

We visted the store on Sunday 3rd May and it was Russ with a Yorkshire accent (so sorry don’t know his surname) who dealt with us. He talked us through all the different sofas, fabrics and colours etc… he spent quality time with us measuring up different sofas as we had to find something to fit in a small space. We wanted a corner sofa but due to the measurements of the small space, Russ advised us to go home to check the measurements and colour schemes to see what would fit and suit our lounge. We returned to the store on the bank holiday Monday 5th May and Russ dealt with the purchase of our new sofa. He talked us through all of our options and explained the breakdown of the payments etc…Russ was very informative and very helpful with purchasing our new sofa, it was an absolute pleasure to meet him.

Delivery men were so polite, so careful with getting the sofas in and were very efficient in unpacking the furniture, taking all the packing away and just really nice representatives of Poltronsofa
