My journey from Newton Abbot at 10.06 on 6th October 2026 was cancelled at Taunton because of the emergency services dealing with an incident.
I therefore lost my 1st class upgrade.
I contacted the team at Seatfrog to request a refund.
6 days later i received the refund!!
I often use Seatfrog and will continue to do so.

I always use Seatfrog and will be again this afternoon. On my way up, my train was cancelled and so I couldn't use my upgrade. The refund process was slick and easy and completed over the weekend. Great comms and service 👌👌

First time using Seatfrog for an upgrade to first class after being recommended by a friend. Had my reservations but it was supprisingly easy to navigate through the auction and my bid was accepted. Very happy.

Got to Paddington last night and the train i had booked an upgrade on had been cancelled, typical, but not Seatfrog's fault. Managed to get on another train with my standard ticket, so no problem. Immediately followed the customer service option on the app to apply for a refund and Seatfrog's Ella has contacted me today to say that the refund has been accepted. Thanks Ella.

So although this transaction didnt work out as I wanted, Seatfrog has handled it brilliantly. Will definitely be using Seatfrog again and hoping that GWR don't cancel the service.

I’ve always been very impressed with Seatfrog since they launched a few years ago. It gives you the opportunity to upgrade, ordinarily at a very low price. It varies from train to train, but I’ve had some absolute belters.

However, I particularly wanted to highlight just how exceptional their customer service is.

Recently, they very kindly gave me a refund because my train was so overcrowded that people were even standing in the toilets, so there was absolutely no chance of enjoying a First Class seat.

What impressed me most was the human touch. Their communication was exceptional throughout.

I felt compelled to leave a quick review because genuinely great customer service can sometimes feel quite rare these days. When you also compare the price of a full-fare First Class ticket with what you can sometimes secure by bidding through Seatfrog, it really is a no-brainer and can turn First Class travel into an affordable luxury.

Seatfrog is a great way to jazz up your journey. I’ve won a few auctions and it’s made the journey sweeter. I’ve also had the misfortune of winning an auction for a train that was then declassified so unable to use the win but Ella at Seatfrog support sorted a refund for that one. Seatfrog is one of those things you don’t want everyone to know so your chances of winning are greater. And excellent customer service from Ella. More people should be like Ella
