I think they should also have a contact number or similar as the only other contact avenue seems to be an email with a 24 hour response time.

We understand your frustration when an interest rate changes after you have signed up, and we want to be fully transparent about why this happens. The interest rate on your Easy Access Savings account is a variable rate, which means it is directly linked to the broader market and, most notably, the official Bank of England Base Rate. Unfortunately, this means we must adjust the rate we offer to our customers, whether it goes up or down. These changes are driven by the Bank of England's efforts to manage the wider economy and are not a decision made by Sidekick to disadvantage existing customers.
Excellent customer response
The customer service response (from Sajni) is the quickest I've ever had, and completely helpful. Together with one of the highest interest rates on the market, and very easy-to-open accounts, what's not to love about Sidekick?

Needs improvement before I could trust it
I began onboarding with Sidekick more than two weeks ago and the process is still incomplete. For a financial platform, this level of delay in simply opening an account is disappointing and does not inspire confidence.
Support replies when contacted, but only during office hours and not with the responsiveness I’ve experienced from other providers like Moneybox, Plum or HL. The customer service feels under-resourced for a company handling people’s money.
The platform itself looks polished and the product ideas (Smart Cash, investments, etc.) are interesting, but the execution is far behind the presentation. At this stage, Sidekick feels like a company with potential but not yet mature enough for me to commit funds.
I hope the team can improve onboarding speed and customer support — if these areas are strengthened, I would be happy to revisit Sidekick in the future.

Issues on withdrawing funds
I’ve had no issues until I tried to withdraw some money. The agreed 24 hours has passed and it’s not in my sidekick wallet. On contacting them via chat, I’m told they are experiencing payment issues with their third party provider, Bondsmith. This happened the day I requested money, coincidentally. Now into 48 hours and still no updated unless I ask for one. I’ve now requested all my money.

In this case, there was a one-off delay in receiving funds from the underlying bank, which unfortunately affected your payment. It has since been resolved, but we know the lack of proactive updates made the situation worse. Thank you for raising this and for having used Sidekick up until this point. We take experiences like yours seriously and are working to improve how we handle any future disruptions.

Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs! Shocking customer service, they withhold your money withdrawals and when you want to pay money in they ask for personal information that only a tax authority should as for. Oak North who sidekick use are a decent company to invest savings with, just don’t use these middle men and go direct instead.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. Absolute shambles. Went through the application process in April. After a few days waiting for the application to be reviewed and not hearing anything, I queried via their chat about how long it would take. ‘Christine’ responded saying they had a high number of applications and sorry for the delay. Today is June 2nd, still no notification of a successful application, queried again, and essentially got the same reply from ‘Christine’. This screams a warning that whoever has set this outfit up shouldn’t be trusted to organise a conga line let alone attempt to run a financial services entity. My savings are going elsewhere
