I booked a 1 night spa break at the Belton woods hotel for £383 thinking that would be a nice surprise for Valentines day with a nice relaxing spa day experience.
Unfortunately it was anything but relaxing and stress free. The Spa Treatments that were booked as part of this experience were arranged and booked in with the Hotel. The times given to me were very inconvenient so I called up and asked if anything could be done, as they were booked for 9AM when check-in wasn't until 3PM.
I wanted to check if there were any later appointments available or if we would have access to any facilites. That was only just the beginning after being told this would be looked into as they shouldn't have been booked at this time in the first place, I got no response.
After repeated phone calls asking for any updates if anything could be done, I was then finally told after speaking to maybe the 4th Person that the Spa Treatments were actually cancelled entirely without my permission. Which entirely ruined the purpose of our 'Spa Break' given the Spa part didn't happen.
After raising a formal complaint and asking for this to resolved it feels like they are delaying and being slow at responding in my opinion on purpose just to drag their feet out of stubborness.
They then repeatedly tried to force me to accept a reduced price which was no where near the value of the spa treatments that were cancelled, and also removed the complimentary robe and towels the day prior to booking, physically changing it in the contract.
I have never experienced such a lack of communication or care that something went wrong from a supposedly professional company. My complaint feels like just another day amongst many for the company. It was like speaking to a brick wall. Continuously being told I would be called back, to never be called back by any one of the numerous customer service members that I spoke to.
Absolutely horrific experience, the customer service team could not care less if anything goes wrong, don't bother with Spabreaks just go directly to whatever hotel you want to book with!
I have reached out multiple times with formal complaints asking for a resolution however all I got in return was an email saying to wait 28 days before they can get back to me...
This was supposed to be a memorable first Valentine's Day together, and it was just for all the wrong reasons.

Book direct or elsewhere, made a booking for in 4 days time and the same evening a relative sadly passed, the following morning i emailed to cancel the booking due to not wanting to go because of the passing of a relative and all i got met with was completely unfair treatment. I cancelled the booking within 12h of placing it, if it wasnt for this death i would have gone but i didnt want to and the refused to refund me. Use other websites or go direct as spabreaks is a very shameful company

Very disappointed
I initially had booked a couples spa day for me and my wife but it had to be amended twice as the hotel we booked it at was fully booked for 2 of the dates I picked.
Then when we got to the hotel we were told that they were not fully booked for the 15th of February even though I was told via email by spa breaks that the hotal was fully booked for that day.
Next time I will book directly.....

I was really disappointed with my recent spa day at Sprowston Manor hotel spa and golf, I feel it was very misleadingly advertised.
Spa breaks had firstly not informed the hotel of our visit, the kind receptionist managed to fit us.
This should not be sold as a relaxing spa experience. The spa day runs from 10am–6pm, yet there is nowhere within the hotel itself to have lunch. The only food available was at the clubhouse across the car park — which completely defeats the purpose of a spa day. Who wants to get dressed halfway through a spa treatment day just to walk across a car park for something to eat?
The massage itself was far from relaxing, as the treatment rooms are located off noisy corridors, meaning you can hear people constantly walking past and talking.
The jacuzzi was not working during our visit, which was disappointing, and the pool was full of children due to half term. It felt much more like a local leisure centre than a hotel spa — clearly the facilities are heavily used as a public leisure pool rather than a peaceful spa environment.
Hygiene was also a concern. The sunbeds had dirty covers which did not feel clean or inviting.
To add to the underwhelming experience, refreshments were simply tea and coffee from a Starbucks-style machine served in paper cups — not what you would expect from a spa day.
In the end, we left at 2pm as we were so disappointed.
At best, this might be acceptable as a free leisure facility if you were staying at the hotel — but it is absolutely not worth the money when booked as a spa day through Spa Breaks.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received from Spa brakes.
It has taken nearly four weeks and 26 emails just to request a credit for an unsatisfactory booking that we ended up walking out of after 1 hour of arriving into the hotel.
We requested a transfer from one hotel to another, however, because spa brakes opening hours are differ from advertised on the system, we could not transfer our booking. We were advised by the hotel that we would need to wait for Spa brakes to transfer the funds to the alternative hotel before we could stay!
4 weeks later, i am still trying to explain that I've paid over £275 for a 1 spa night and had nothing in return, but a headache.
Instead of resolving the issue, Spa brakes have not listened and not made the relevant calls to resolve this issue!! One phone call, that’s all it took !!
Spa brakes are happy to take your money, but not wanting to pick up a phone and resolve issues for customers.
After this experience, I won’t be using this company again to book holidays. I’ll continue to go through Spa Seekers, where customer service is taken seriously.

Lani was very helpful trying to sort out an expired gift card which she did. I am so grateful as it was a gift from my husband.
In addition Lani was patient whilst waiting for me to sort out a date with my sister in order to confirm the booking.
Am finally looking forward to a day of relaxation and 'me' time.

I saved up for a long time to spend Valentine’s at brandshatch spa hotel kent and it was the worst time ever our Valentine’s was ruined
Not only was our room not the room I booked but it was not clean in fact even the cafeteria was not clean the waitress couldn’t be bothered to wipe the tables
The manager was a waste of time he did absolutely nothing to fix the problems needless to say I would not go again
I did not save up for weeks to stay in a dirty room
But that’s what I got
Waited 40 mins to eat dinner then 20 mins for the bill

I look forward to this review being removed, as review sites don't seem to like bad things said about their companies that are being reviewed. (That are paying fees, talk about conflict of interest)
12th paid for romantic spa on 15th for wife and I. 13th after 6pm. spabreaks cancels the event without explanation. Tries to fob me off with vouchers instead of refund. I ask for refund, they tell up to 14 working days. A week later I'm still waiting. This is the first time and last time I have used this company. never again. I have used spaseekers in the past without incident and wish I hadn't bothered with this scamming company. They will shortly be receiving a chargeback for failure to provide goods and services. Tried to raise a complaint and Sinead basically ignored the request. Review will shortlly be blacklisted. Enjoy it while its here.

Its interesting that they claim booking done Tuesday 12 Feb. When the 12th of Feb was THURSDAY. I see an email after 3.40pm FRIDAY 13thFeb. saying vouchers, at 5pm. Of course no one answers phone at this point. Ar no point did anyone offer any alternatives and flatlly refused to raise a complaint.
Either somone is lying or thier calender is a bit wonky and is 2 days behind.
Wife still not forgiven me for this mess.
I wish I could go back to Tuesday the 12th/10th time travel and never book with this company.
Like I said Not to be trusted'.

Not possible to leave a lower review so stuck here with a one star. Absolutely do not recommend as they will accept payment, provide times and then change times the day before, offering no recourse and keeping the original booking amount. They did not care that we were on vacation and had structured our day around the originally provided times. They will point to their Ts & Cs stating they are allowed to do this but they do not have their customer's best interests at heart and are just trying to take your money! Avoid like the plague.

I have spoken with Anthony Jacobs who explained that the price had increased a few days before the booking was made. He has kindly offered to refund the additional payment.
I bought a spa day experience for my wife and daughter at Carnoustie Golf hotel costing £277.60 and was surprised and disappointed when they booked to use it there was an additional charge of £24. Maybe I missed something in the "small print" but I thought I had purchased a spa break and was not aware that there may be additional cost involved
