I purchase a $3 part and somehow it shipped to a location instead of my home. Be careful when purchasing! It wouldn’t be bad if it was local but it’s over an 8 hour drive to pick it up. Small loss for me, but I obviously won’t be a return customer. I can’t believe they aren’t interested in solving the problem. I’d be happy to pay for shipping but they haven’t offered to ship it to me. Never mind good bye.

Truthfully, the shopping experience was fine, like any other store. With that said the store Credit Card, NIGHTMARE! I purchased a pair of binoculars in August of 2022. I was offered the credit card for a discount on my purchase like most retailers do. I paid off the purchase within a few months, however somehow despite a credit (less than a dollar) they refused to close the credit card. Despite the credit and NO other purchases I started receiving calls about late fees. The calls were incessant!! Multiple per day for months, most calls were made by individuals who spoke very little English with very thick accents to the point of not being able to have a conversation, because they didn’t understand me or I didn’t understand them.

In September of 2023 I finally spoke to someone that I could understand and vice versa. She claimed that there was some sort of charge that took away the small credit and had a balance that was under $1 which began to accrue late fees. (By then hundreds of dollars). She agreed to credit me back the late fees and close the account.

Within a couple months the calls began again. Eventually I spoke to to someone I could understand again and he read the notes, saw where it was paid off and apologized. He stated that he would close the account and I would receive no more calls.

After a month, my wife started receiving calls, we tried to ignore them, but last night she spoke to them. Late fees now over $300. After she spoke to several levels of management and spent over an hour on the phone, they again agreed we did not owe anything. BUT since she was not the primary card holder, they refused to close the account, despite me attempting to close it multiple times on several prior occasions AND we have not purchased anything from Sportsman’s Warehouse since the one purchase! Now I have to call back tomorrow to request they close the account.

I’ve spent more than the initial discount I received on the one purchase not to mention the aggravation of all of the calls, I will never shop at Sportsman’s Warehouse again because of this.

UPDATE

After another round of calls they claim that my account is FINALLY closed, but they now deny that there are any notes on the account! A quick check of my Credit shows multiple fraudulent reports of late payments (10) and a 229% balance on that account. Despite referring to the notes on multiple occasions over the past few months, and even during the call when I closed my account, they now claim there are no notes attached to the account. They also lied and claimed that they do not keep notes from calls on acciunta and refused to help with the fraudulent information reported to the credit bureau.

NEVER get the credit card from this store!

Be careful ordering from this outfit for anything online! The canned message system will spit out messages that validate their helpful stance but the promises of shipment and when delivery can be expected is all fantasy. When I finally received what I had ordered it was 5 days past the expected date and they had charged my card before it even shipped. The man at the register who was helping me said "they don't have a good system" They might be better than nothing but not by much! 1 star is far higher than is deserved.

I spoke with Chadwell today which is the 5th of February. He's rude he actually told me if I didn't like the way they were doing things there not to buy anything from them. It seems to be a pattern with the sales people at the store in Columbia on Piney River Road . Being rude when they don't like what a customer says of the way they're being treated by the sales staff.

Ordered from them and the item was shipped to one of their stores for pick up. I called them and asked to ship item to my house. They told me the order would have to be canceled which would take up to 5 days and then up to 7 more days for a refund. The asked me if I would like to reorder after all this nonsense. I told them to cancel as I would order from somewhere else. I will not order from them again.

They will sell display models rifles at full cost and not disclose > they won’t be helpful for remedy if you have defective firearms and competent staff> if your a sportsman- do your fellow hunters and outdoor enthusiast a favor- don’t shop here- they are on the verge of bankruptcy- let it happen-

I ordered from Sportsman Warehouse over 2 weeks ago and still have not received my order. I have sent multiple messages with no response. They have my money so they don't care. Typical good ole customer service nowadays. SMDH!!!!!

The item must be shipped and sold by Amazon and not a third-party company." It was fulfilled by Amazon but not sold and there is no mention of that in their deceptive avertising. Amazon doesn't make outdoor products, guns safes etc.

Placed order on Dec 13. Delivery to store on the 26th. First half of order was there on time on the 21st. Saw the second items in stock after the website said was not available at this location. Would not give me the in store exact item and place mine on shelf when shipped…. Another 2 hours of driving time on the 29 th if it actually shipped as they say. Zero customer service help. Sorry excuse for web shopping and website maintainance. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Zero in store help as well

Ordered rifle they claimed was in stock. They charged my card and every time for several weeks now I check my account online gun is shown as “pending shipment”; translation, gun was never in stock and they lied to me and probably countless others. Not worth saving a few bucks to put up with this crap. Maybe they need a class action lawsuit for obvious fraud.

They are unreliable! Delayed and overcharged orders. Don't trust this business!

I ordered a Buckhammer X and SW took my money when they knew they did not have the X but they sent me a Buckhammer G. They said I could not return it. If they were honest and told me they did not have the X there would not have been a sale. As far as I am concerned they are thieves.

Scammy, I ordered $130 in socks and they didn't send them. They just canceled my order & refused to send them after I asked them to.

I was over charged $50. Management would not correct the situation.

Terrible service at Rohnert Park CA. Waited in line for ammo 1.5 hours no help. Went back the next morning there was one person before me. Asked him how long he has been waiting he said 30 min so far. Stood there for additional 40 minutes no service not just for me but the person before me as well. Two guys behind the counter and they both BS talking with one guy who doesn't know what he is looking for and the people who actually know what they buying and they gonna be 5 min in out waiting for hours. Terrible service close this store you loose money more than you make.

There is no one in store to help. One cashier who had no idea what to do. Customer service has no one there. I wanted help purchasing fishing pole but there are no employees in store. They should be out of business

I ordered a rifle online. No communication from seller, then my debit card hold expired. They don't answer the phone or respond to emails trying to cancel the order, so I purchased a gun locally. Three weeks later they debit my checking account and email that the gun has shipped. I disputed the charge, and the money was returned, minus shipping fee. Also, the shop I bought the gun from told me Sportsmans Warehouse sells cheap knock off guns, (like Home Depot tools) that's why they're half the price as anywhere else.

If you're looking for a great customer service experience, then Sportsman's Warehouse in Anchorage, Alaska is not the place to shop. From the moment I walked in you could tell the employees were not happy to be there and to help customers. They had a disinterested and apathetic attitude that was only further confirmed by my interaction with the associates in the footwear department.
I went to the customer service counter to get assistance with an exchange and the associate who was sent over acted like she hated her job and customers. Not only did she seem uninterested in helping me, but she also didn't provide any meaningful assistance. I was disappointed and went back to the customer service counter to get my money back, only to be met with a customer service representative who made light of my experience and showed no concern for my dissatisfaction.
It's a shame that Sportsman's Warehouse doesn't value customer service, as that's one of the most important aspects of any business. If you're looking for a great customer service experience, then you're better off spending your money somewhere else. The employees at Sportsman's Warehouse in Anchorage, Alaska clearly don't care about customers, and it shows in the way they interact with them. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

I purchased Sportiva hiking boots online which happened to be on sale. Knowing these run small, I ordered a 1/2 size larger. The fit was still a bit too small, so contacted customer service to inquire about exchanging for a larger size. Answer, "sales of shoes are final and non re-fundable". What? Frankly I was astonished, taken aback, and will certainly take my business elswhere.

Best outdoor gear store ever! Much better prices than Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's. The employees are always helpful and very knowledgeable. Unlike Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's who's employees aren't helpful or knowledgeable. I went to my local Sportsman's Warehouse and they helped me find the clothing I was looking for and got it very a great price. The next week I went to a Cabela's and the same exact clothing I got was double the price. So I give kudos to Sportsman's Warehouse and their fantastic employees and the Sportsman's Warehouse brand of clothing is fantastic. Thank you Sportsman's Warehouse for your awesome stores and top of the line customer service.
