It was do fast and easy to acquire travel insurance

I am sharing this to warn fellow travelers about the unfair claims practices I experienced with Seven Corners and the failure of Squaremouth’s "Zero Complaint Guarantee."

Despite purchasing a policy to cover "Common Carrier Delays," my claim for a 31-hour delay on March 18, 2026, was denied using a General War Exclusion.

The Facts vs. The Excuse:

The Excuse: Seven Corners cited a regional airspace closure notice from March 10 to deny a claim for a flight on March 18.

The Truth: By March 18, the airspace was open. I provided real-time flight logs proving other flights from the same carrier flew the exact same route on the same day.

The Documentation: The airline officially coded my delay as a "Commercial Waiver (CW005-2026)" and an "Involuntary Reroute." The airline treated this as a business/logistical failure, yet the insurance company overrode the airline’s own data to invoke a "War" excuse.

The "Zero Complaint" Failure:
Squaremouth’s "advocacy" consisted of a rubber-stamp rejection. They ignored the technical evidence and the timeline discrepancy (March 10 vs. March 18), siding entirely with the insurer’s narrative over the physical flight data.

The Bottom Line:
If you buy travel insurance today, be aware: If there is a conflict anywhere in the world, these companies can use it as a "Super-Exclusion" to deny your claim, even if the planes are demonstrably flying. You are paying for protection that disappears the moment you actually need to use it.

Square mouth is an insurance broker. When our trip was delayed because the airline crew timed out, we missed a day of our tour which was canceled. Our insurance covered cancellation and travel delay but square mouth and the insurance company did nothing to reimburse us. It appeared that they tried to find any excuse possible to not pay despite us providing a letter from the airline and from the tour operator which canceled the tour because we did not arrive. I cannot recommend square mouth. There no complaint policy was not true.

Easy experience in getting comparisons for travel insurance. Only problem is if wanting to reconfigre the first steps of the process (number of persons, dates or travel cost protection) is required to start completely over.
