The Solicitors at this firm have worked so hard and restless on my case and always reassured and informed me and my family about the process and updates. Very empathic and professional. They pay great attention to every single detail and their work is thorough and comprehensive. I've been treated with courtesy, respect and trust. Undoubtedly they liase with skilled barristers as well who are committed and dedicated to the case they represent.
Having Reem Khatib and Sophie Lalaoui as my solicitor was extremely helpful and comforting in my unfortunate situation. Also Mr Kane Sharpe has worked so hard and with such dedication on demonstrating my innocence, something I will always be so grateful for.

I am suing this company for breach of contract and professional negligence - they are dishonest.
A solicitor called Andrew Gold said he was able to represent me and I provided papers, and met with him at his office in Wood Green to discuss the case for an hour.
He made some enquiries and 3 weeks later, emailed me to say he "did not have the capacity" to represent me.
He lied.
Having spoken to several other solicitors who specialise in criminal defence, they confirmed that "we do not have capacity" is the standard excuse when solicitors can't be bothered. "Capacity" means "ability" - their website and marketing states they are a top criminal defence firm and pride themselves on their reputation and ability to defend clients, and get cases dropped before trial etc. My case was very simple and easy to defend and win - a simple "he-said, she said" with no other evidence. The victim did not even call the police or make a witness statement, and when asked to make a witness statement, told police she had "gone back to Nigeria".
Andrew Gold is dishonest, and this firm have now jeapordised my case, missed deadlines for filing, and have now caused the court to delay the forthcoming hearings and trial.
There is no complaints policy on their website - they do not accept complaints which is a breach of the Solicitor's Regulation Authority's (SRA's) rules.
They have refused to return the case papers which are my only copy.
I have begun a complaint with the Legal Ombudsman so that they can fine this firm for their dishonesty.
If you don't like being lied to, do not engage this firm.

Edit for update - they have apologised but have not replied to my email - clearly, they only care about their image on this website, and do not care about client complaints.
If a client complains by email, the company should respond by email first, not respond to a review on a website.
This is another example of this firm's incompetence.
There is no offer of compensation, and they have asked me to call them.
My complaint based on the Legal Ombudsman's template gives them 7 days to contact me by email to respond in full to my complaint. They have not done so.
Their priorities are clear - they refuse to respond to complaints, except if they are publicly called out on a website like this.
In 6 days this will be escalated to the Legal Ombudsman without further notice, and their reply on this webiste will also be included as further evidence of their incompetence.
Their apology here is an admission that they lied to me - you don't apologise if you haven't done anything wrong.
Do not go near this firm - they lie to clients.

I have used Stuart Miller Solicitors on a few occasions over the years. Their staff are very experienced, professional and hard working, and with excellent client manner. With our more complex issues/cases which we thought would be challenging to relay and obtain support, we found the solicitors to be fully prepared, experienced and they were able to explain important details in a way which was easy to understand.

Stuart Miller Solicitors were responsive, and provided complete answers to all of my inquiries.
I felt like my Lawyer Majad was caring, and able to reel off some fantastic points of defence which hadn't even occurred to me. To start with, he literally 'seized' my phone when i told him there were images and messages from the accuser and he pin-pointed the exact location from where the image was taken and told me it wasn't possible for the accuser to make certain allegations as he was clearly in another country at the time. I'm truly grateful for finding this firm online and trusting them with my case.

Taylor was assigned to my case, and she’s been so incredible and supportive every step of the way. She kept me informed was available any time of the day or night whether working hours or not, which was greatly appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend her, and thank you so much!
