I paid for an advertisement over a week ago. Im unable to edit my Ad. Iv emailed twice iv phoned and (number is not in service)
Iv also messaged them on Instagram. It was a waste of €10. Iv used them previously and had no problems.
Its ridiculous I wouldn't recommend using them.
They charged me twice when I did not even use their services. The first time I was okay with it but the second charge came out of nowhere ( no emails, text , nothing) I thought it was a one time payment - BE CAREFUL!!! - remove your credit card details - they are scammers!!

Hi Laura, we help parents find childcare that is suitable for their needs, we are an Irish business and we are not scammers. You contacted us after you were charged and told us that you had cancelled your subscription the previous month when in fact this was not the case. You did not cancel your subscription. We are very transparent in our pricing options and offer both a once-off payment option and a subscription model so that parents who don’t like subscription models have a choice of a once off payment.
Not entirely sure SureSitter is legit. You can set up a profile and invite people to look at your job posting, but to see any replies you receive you need to pay 29EUR a month. We got two replies to our posting immediately, so we paid the money to see them. I immediately responded but never hear a whisper back. Now two different minders would not ghost someone. So I reckon (a) SureSitter is sending these responses back so you pay the money to see them, and they are not real people behind the profiles...OR...(b) scammers are using this website and setting up fake profiles in order to get you to share private contact details with them. TBH, we believe it is the former that is at play! Save you money - and protect your security - and dont use this website.
(Additional information added 4 days later): I emailed the company to speak with anyone in their customer services team about the profiles on the website, and they BLOCKED me after we emailed back and forth a few times with me requesting a meeting with SureSitter. I directly messaged 71 people who are advertising their services in my area on the website, and not one individual replied. So I am now even more wary of the profiles on the site. My questions for SureSitter were going to be "are the profiles up-to-date or year(s)old? Are they verified? Is it in fact profiles run by SureSitter who are responding when people make initial payment so that the customer pays the 29euro to see the response from the profile?".
Now what company blocks a customer within 2hrs and 25mins when they are trying to communicate with them by email. I will try to ring this company to see if they will speak to customers by phone, but I am not hopeful!
Paid 29 euros and none of the 40 sitters I messaged replied not even to say they weren't available. Keep your 29 euros and look elsewhere for minders. See their reply below. My name is not Catherine and to reiterate I received ZERO answers.

Hi Catherine, as discussed with you we are a real and legitimate business with real people! You did receive responses to your job advert, unfortunately we can't guarantee that you will get a set number of applications. It depends on a number of factors including the job being offered, your location and the specific requirements of the job.
29 Euros unfortunately for nothing, makes me wonder if this site is legit. After reading others reviews I won't waste my time asking for a refund, but at least I can warn others not to make the same mistake as me.

Hi Peggy, we’re sorry to hear that you didn’t find a suitable caregiver. We take great pride in helping families to find the right carer for their needs. However we are not an agency and we don’t charge the high fees that agencies do. A number of factors can determine how many suitable candidates you will find including timing and demand at a given point in time. In busier times it can take 2-3 months to find the candidate and we would always recommend giving yourself at least 2 months when searching. We are proud to say that we do have a very high success rate and we hope you find a suitable caregiver.

I was totally stuck and would not be able to go to hospital unless i got someones help! I needed someone and I got a trusted reliable person she turned up
The plans changed and they kept me overnight an extra night, she did what was asked and more, accomodated the change in plans gladly with minimal fuss, she had back up if i was delayed longer a she had contacted a friend to help us ! and I would definitely get Suresitter again !
I don’t usually leave reviews for anything but I felt I needed to thank SureSitter for helping us find a childminder that we are delighted with. It was important to us that we found someone who was Garda vetted. Not that many vetted profiles on the other childminding sites but we found a good selection on here thankfully. We were getting very stressed about the whole search so we’re glad to have found someone. Recommend.

Not sure why it took me so long to find this site. Just had our 3rd child, and usually relied on word of mouth in the past to find help. Under pressure as my husband is returning to his office soon for a few days a week. Found a lovely carer who was Garda vetted and has good experience. Took about a month but prob the time of year. Massive relief, highly recommend.
Absolutely fuming, signed up and paid 29 euro, sent 15 emails to suitable minders, not 1 reply!! Got another 2 applicants who I replied to and they never got back, I'd question if these were genuine.
I cancelled subscription after 5 days and adked for refund as was not happy with service. And closed my account so I wasnt getting my hopes up with waiting for replies.
They refused to honor refund as I had used the service emailing people, which is fair enough, but I'm sure they could see I haven't had many of the applicants reply. I then asked them to credit me the days I have left as I might as well have access if I can't be refunded.
No... My data is wiped so waiting to hear back of a resolution to this, do not waste your money, as you'll be left waiting for replies from potential childminders that possible don't exist.

Hi Sue, we're sorry to hear that your experience with us wasn’t great. We stride very hard to help parents find the right childminder for their family. August/September is peak time for parents looking for childcare before the school term starts and in general it takes more than 5 days to find the right carer for your needs. On average it can take 2-3 weeks. We can absolutely assure you that the applications you received were genuine.
We constantly remind our caregivers to respond to messages. In the majority of cases caregivers do reply but due to work and life commitments sometimes it can them a number of days to reply.
In relation to your data we take user privacy extremely seriously which is why in order to comply with GDPR regulations we delete all user data when a user closes their account.
