I used Talbots Law for the purchase of my first home and had a really positive experience.
The team were professional, friendly and helpful throughout the whole process, keeping everything moving and answering any questions I had along the way.
They made what could have been a stressful experience much easier to deal with.
Really pleased with the service and would happily recommend them to anyone buying a home.

Very efficient service and very friendly

5 months ago, my partner and I had an offer accepted on a property that has no chain. We were automatically assigned to a solicitor from Talbots Law which we went along with as it seemed like the easiest option for us as FTB. Really wish I had done my research and chose a different solicitor. Our solicitor has been chasing the same enquiries for weeks now and we are making little to no progress. Their communication is poor, replying to emails days after with little to no content, and then no follow-up until we have to chase it. We feel sidelined and disregarded. The solicitor is supposed to be on our side which right now feels the complete opposite. I will not be choosing Talbots in the future.

Sue suggested a layout that was easy to read and understand, which I happily took onboard. I would like to thank Erin for her prompt communication and draft corrections. Sue took me through the final draft to ensure all was okay and happily answered any questions that I had. Certainly would recommend.

This is the second time I have employed Talbots to deal with housing matters which goes right back to when they were Tanfields (Dudley). They are an excellent firm, trustworthy and very diligent. I particularly want to express my thanks to Francesca Goga who was very efficient throughout. She explained legal matters to me in language that I could understand and gave very honest assessments of any potential difficulties. Her communication skills were excellent throughout. She was very ably assisted by Megan Hartley who was a great help. They both played their part in ensuring that the whole process was completed efficiently and with the minimum of problems. I commend Talbots to anyone looking for Conveyancing Solicitors whose work is excellent.

They didn’t respond to all my communication. Quickly There were some delays in some responses but when it came down to the final few weeks, everything was fantastic.

Good communication and very helpful during the whole process of selling my house.

It has now been 4 years to the day since my father died. Talbot's have still not resolved his will / estate. What little communication we get barely makes sense. Requests for explanation go unanswered, despite being sent multiple times. Most of the time we receive no communication at all. The solicitor in charge of the will, R Thomas, keeps giving us different dates for when everything will be resolved, but then when he misses his own deadlines he refuses to explain or apologise. My official complaint to Talbot's about the treatment we've received was just brushed off. There is an official complaint in with the Ombudsman, which will probably get resolved before my father's will does. Avoid Talbot's at all costs.

I've dealt with Talbots during the last few years on four separate matters (Divorce, Child Arrangements, Conveyancing and Employment Contractual Exit) and they have provided an excellent service every time. Their staff are friendly, knowledgeable and supportive especially during difficult circumstances. Their fees were reasonable and they went above and beyond at times to help deliver. A personal thank you to Kelly Perks and Sidrah Wallima for their efforts on the above matters.

Hannah Drake was amazing, efficient, extremely helpful in selling my property. Highly recommended.
