Natasha Hughes at Talbot's law was outstanding, she was quick and efficient in answering any queries I had & extremely knowledgeable. There's always a worry when buying a house that there may be delays or hold ups but Talbot's law were prompt with all of their tasks and followed things up in a timely manner. I dealt with Talbot's law 12 yrs ago and they were very good No complaints.This time However it was very different.I had to keep chasing them to see what was happening On the first day we went to the waterfront offices and gave proof we had the funds to purchase the house Someone copied the proof However this was "lost"for 6 days when I offered to send photographs myself they said no need Magically the proof turned up the next day.We were transfered to another office within 2 days.(Never told why but we couldn't talk face to face as before which was disappointing.)Then the long running saga of where we had our money from(I understand the government pressurises them because of money laundering)but we had to go back 26 years to prove we were legitimate Then we had a small business before we retired They needed proof of earnings though it was so small we never paid tax.We said we don't have proof as it was 9 years ago and our books were scrapped That wasn't good enough.Can you go on the government gateway to access your records We did that and the screen said This account is deleted so no records We sent the screenshot to our solicitor thinking that's that .He said can you try again tomorrow 🤔🤔This on top of holding back our moving date deliberately (10 days to ask our sellers solicitors a question)Our buyers and sellers both said they were told the move would be on the 31st July Our solicitor said 8th of August and coerced everyone else's solicitor to accept Our sellers didn't know when to ask someone to move them neither did we .We finally transferred all the money to buy on Wednesday the 6th 2 days before our move We were encouraged to travel to our new home 60 miles away at 11 o clock on Friday When we arrived our sellers solicitors said we haven't received the money yet.We had to wait another 2 hours before we could move in No explanation as to why the money wasn't there or a Were sorry about that. To sum up. There is no way I will use them again.I know everyone has horror stories and problems and things do happen but I was desperately disappointed with their service

We were supported with our part exchange by Natasha and the team and they were fantastic. Supported us at each step, made the process easy to follow and took the stress out of it all. Can't thank her and the team enough. Would highly recommend and will certainly use them again in the future. Thank you all so much for your hard work, care and support during this process.

Tori was very helpful and she helped us purchase our house. Everything went according to plan and the completion was done early in the morning

Just to put on the record, My great full thanks to Talbots Law solicitors. They have helped me with writing ✍️ a proper will to make sure my final requests are adhered to. Also, after a wonderful experience, l decided to go with Talbots law, when selling my mother's and my home 🏡. They made the experience stress free and I was grateful to be updated, every step of the way. Nothing was to much trouble, l never felt under pressure, or that I was in control of every decision. Great experience

Excellent service for start to finish. The whole process (which was far longer than all of us anticipated due to the others in the chain) was well communicated, and made far less stressful as a result. Would always recommend, and will return to use should the need arise

We had Debbie Green running the day to day activities of our property sale overseen by Lisa Burton. We had quite a few issues with our buyers and Debbie was excellent at dealing with the difficult lawyers and helped us eventually complete the sale. Very responsive and good communication throughout. Would 100% recommend Debbie and Talbots.

Used talbots law to purchase my first property. It took much longer than it needed to, a number of emails were ignored and had to keep calling them for updates as they would go weeks and weeks with no contact. Even when calling it felt like you were an inconvenience. Got it done eventually but wouldn’t recommend.
