This company is a scam!
They said my car a right off.
They offered me very low amount and used 80 miles cars when coming up with the figure when my car only done 45 miles
They not looked for a like to like car as my car had lots of additional extra. When I sent them proof of 5 companies selling like to like on same miles, they still said they won’t move the offer up.
Seems this company is a scam will be letting my insurance know. As reading the reviews it seems this company does this a lot

Despite having the registration number and details of my motorcycle they sent me a form for a car. They asked me for photographs even though I was in hospital with multiple fractures in Wales and the bike was in Poole. They estimated the mileage at 15k ( actual mileage 5k) and based their valuation on this figure. It was up me to prove otherwise ( fortunately bike was serviced the week before and I had the service record). They said they couldn't read dashboard as it was damaged. Fact is they couldn't read dashboard as I had the key and they couldn't switch the bike on. I sent them details of several comparator bikes showing their valuation was low and asking to see the comparator bikes they used. They wouldn't reply.

Ryan the inspector was professional and friendly, the office kept you informed throughout the process and the report was emailed the next day.
Cannot of think of anything they could have done better

As a business, we have regular dealings with very many automotive engineering companies and, for us in the repair industry, the 2 most important things are fast turn-around and contactability. Tecreports are very definitely in the top 5 for both. Keep on doing what you're doing guys - setting the example that others should follow!

Speedy, efficient and friendly service

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to pay for a “professional assessment” and receive something that looks like it was thrown together during someone’s lunch break, look no further than this company.

The accuracy? Questionable.
The attention to detail? Practically imaginary.
The overall quality? Let’s just say I’ve seen school projects with more rigour.

Apparently, their idea of a valuation is:
1. Ignore anything the owner actually added or upgraded,
2. Pretend modifications don’t exist,
3. Copy and paste a couple of guide prices from the internet,
4. Call it a day.

It was almost magical how many obvious details were overlooked. If their job was to miss things, they’ve truly mastered their craft.

Their report caused more problems than it solved, confusion, contradictions, and the kind of sloppy work that creates mess after mess for everyone else to fix. I genuinely had to spend more time correcting their output than they probably spent producing it.

If you want a valuation so vague and unhelpful that it could have been generated by flipping a coin, TEC Reports Group is the perfect choice.
If you want competence or professionalism, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Absolute nightmare dealing with this company
My van was damaged in a non fault accident and they classified it as cat b parts only major structural damage yet was completely mobile
It was then valued at £7200 and no more yet a like for like replacement is 12k plus and they will simply not accept this.so now due to no fault of my own I'm nearly 5k out of pocket

Senior management at this company are totally disrespectful & blatantly awkward & obnoxious. The 2 directors have what I assume is a son who is the COO, he clearly has no idea how to treat a potential customer. My insurers recommended these guys, so I will be telling my insurers the kind of company this is. They deserve to go out of business & if I can help, it would be a pleasure!!! I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF THEM AT ALL COSTS

Poor Service. Rude Staff. Complaints not taken seriously. At all.

After a bad turn of events with someone reversing into my car and having to claim on his insurance, I was put through to tecreport by my insurance who carried out a desktop inspection of the vehicle.

After inspecting the damage myself as a qualified vehicle technician I knew what work needed doing so I was ready if there was to be any questionable findings through their inspection.

I sent the photographs they required of the vehicle on Saturday and by Monday I received a call, unfortunately the vehicle was written off due to age and mileage but the valuation was fair and correct. I was given options to either allow the vehicle to be taken for salvage or keep it with a deduction on the payout, which was all explained very well to me.

Overall I was skeptical I would have a good experience after reading older reviews but I cannot relate to them as the service I have received so far has been great

This company "seriously" undervalues your car (in my experience) They have valued my car at £1,090 for insurance purposes in fact my car is easily found elsewhere in worse condition and seriously higher milage for circa £5,500-6000. Very very odd? - Not very competent at valuing cars and TBH seem to just pluck figures out of thin air.

KEEP AWAY, So unprofessional, poor customer service. The engineer inspected my car and was a right off but offered me an amount which I declined as I'm unable to purchase a vehicle with the same specification. This offer was also lower than the third party who had accepted liability which didnt make sense. I was told it had some small dents and had to reduce the offer but the other company engineers didn't mentioned this which means they have been lying and perhaps created the dents themselves. Hence called and spoke to chris to challenge the report but couldn't give me a proper explaination. Didnt offer me with the report or any pictures, I called again but chris had barred my number, so pathetic, rude and shame on them

Recently had somebody shunt me from behind when turning right on a Trunk Road. His fault entirely. He admitted it!

The above firm carried out inspection of my vehicle. This after the nearby garage said it would be a write off after crash bar pushed elements of car onto tyre and making it difficult to get to nearby garage.

I quote the garage: "First time I have used a mallet to bang out a crash bar on a car as new as this. It will probably be written off as integrity is comprised.

Not so.

In a nutshell absolutely no goodwill at all from the above firm - not even working for me. So often the case now with anything - power, water works, Open Reach, Network Rail, Hermes. All these and many more avoid, at all costs, dealing with affected individual.

So the absolute minimal amount to get the 2 and a half year old car back on the road. Lets prize open damaged rear passenger door and make good. That sort of thing. Damaged wheel can live on etc.

I guess it's because this car is insured by a very sleepy company. Not interest at all!

This firm does not reply because it does not work for the general public!
