So we booked bowling as part of a birthday
So we booked bowling as part of a birthday surprise but on the day in question we arrived at 15.45 as you suggest on your website.
When we arrived we book in and we were told that we had to wait over an hour and and a half because they were busier than expected. I feel it completely disrupted our plans as I work nights and couldn’t continue with the rest of the day.
I feel we were completely let down by your company and your inadequate booking system.

Booked bowling for 4:10
Booked bowling for 4:10, arrived to be told it was fully booked and to come back at 4:30, no problem, went back at 4:30 to be told we were good to go, halfway through the game the game ended and the next persons name appeared on the screen, went to the desk to be told the timer had run out, we were only on there for 15 mins max, after a lot of faffing we were told the lane next to us were just finishing and we could have that one and start our game again, the game next to us finished but I had to go back to the desk to get them to load the game, it was absolute carnage in there and clearly overbooked/people taking too long with their games, this isn’t the fault of the staff but the booking system they have no control over

Chaotic- ended up leaving early
I understand it will be busier on weekends but it was absolutely chaotic during our visit, to the point we left early as it was so stressful. The toddler part had lots of older children who were running around, not watching where they were going and throwing ball pit balls aggressively all over the area. It was so hot it was uncomfortable, we were all sweating. There was only one person working on the desk so when you wanted to go in/out the area you had to wait for them to unlock the gate. Queues were massive for drinks so we didn’t even bother ordering. No tables/chairs so had to leave our stuff on the floor by the side of the soft play. Won’t be going back and won’t recommend.

Good experience
Easy process to book and upon arrival.
Place was clean, tidy.
Staff friendly.
Only 3 lanes in use so not busy.
Disappointed a Groupon youngsters were put in lane next to usso we ended up sharing the balls.
As majority of lanes empty I thought this was stupid and unnecessary.

Thursday is Bowling Night
Tenpin Gloucester on a Thursday £10 for x2 games and some burger & chips, what more can you ask for? Incredible value, great quality bowing alley with all sorts of extra things to do whilst there, pool tables, arcade games, laser tag etc etc. Great activity to take the family to, and a good atmosphere. Have been many times and will continue to do so.

The whole area was filthy dirty
The whole area was filthy dirty, cups plates on nearly every table.
The lane wasn’t ready we had to wait 20 mins. We ordered drinks on the app they never arrived over 40 mins and we had to leave as we had finished our game and had a dinner reservation!

Pre booked softplay for a two hour session. What a waste of money! Stayed about 10 minutes as virtually nothing there. Tiny ball pit, a few padded shapes and a pathetic slide.

Disorganised
I thought the requirement to book a time slot for bowling would enable a smooth process. I was wrong! We arrived 15 minutes before our allocated time (as suggested) but were still waiting over 20 minutes to check in!?
The whole place seemed utterly chaotic - if it weren’t for the presence of young kids I would’ve thought we were in a nightclub.
On a positive note, the toilets had clearly been refurbished and were clean and tidy.

4 people on the check in with no one waiting, 1 single lad on the bar, doing food and drinks, 9 people waiting in queue. Then he got the order wrong, claimed it was never ordered, but it was on his computer when manager checked. Slow food to arrive and not very warm

Finger holes and balls
There are not enough balls with good finger holes. The best finger holes are from 10 onwards which was too heavy for me.

Terrible my sons birthday and there was 5 off us the barriers was broken we called the service to come over no one attended the hole hour my children really don’t enjoy it went over to speak to someone but was to busy to help waisted money upset my son on his birthday

Jess you are brilliant
Further to my previous scathing review about the duty manager yesterday and about the company I have had my faith returned by the on duty manager today. Jess called me and asked if I could call in so she could apologise for yesterdays issues and what a lovely person she is as soon as I spoke to here she could remember both my grandson and myself as we both spoke to her earlier in the day before she went off duty. I can not praise her enough remembering us seeing the amount of people she must see in a shift and she was spot on as to what was said and where we sat if everyone was as good you as a company would have nothing but 5 star reviews so once again a VERY BIG thank you to Jess from us both.
