I prefer to do bowling with bowling shoes on as it helps you to slide. I'm not too keen on pins with string but can understand why as it helps to set them up quicker. I personally found the light show... Toon meer

Went with my two boys
Went with my two boys, to the York alley. Although we scored a few strikes, it registered as a 9 each time, I did mention it to someone at the desk but it wasn't fixed. Not the end of the world but it struck me just how uninterested the staff there were.

The lane had a ball stuck in the gutter for a while and the food took ages (over 30 mins).

Great bowling experience... nice little touches like photo on screen... nice and clean in playing area and toilets. Food reasonable price and quite good

Very competitively priced, would have cost more than twice as much to play at the same time at Hollywood Bowl York. Good facilities friendly, efficient and helpful staff.

Bowling with prepaid/ordered drinks
Booked bowling for 2 adults 3 children, at the time of booking i prepaid/ordered 3 slushies for the children, after 3 rounds drinks hadnt arrived, so went to question, got told he would look into it. Still nothing, almost 40mins into our approx 1hour game they finally arrived after having to go and question again, being told a ticket hadnt been produced, I know systems can fail, or person error but ...whole point of pre ordering is to save the messing around 🙄

Good friendly staff, faculties lacking
Good friendly staff. The lanes were really dirty and muddy as you no longer change shoes. Struggled to find a ball the right size. Had a really good time

Really good value for money
Really good value for money, loads cheaper than other bowling alleys I've visited.
Ordered food which was very average and tiny portions.
Kids next to us were unsupervised and throwing bowling balls from a great height and into other lanes, weren't challenged by staff.
I also ordered 3 drinks and last minute my son wanted to change his, the guy serving me nearly had a cardiac arrest as he had to void a drink to change it, genuinely thought he was going to cry.
Apart from this definitely good value.

Great fun bowling
We had a great time here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s been a while since we’ve been and were surprised you can now wear your own shoes (huge improvement). The only downside is that it felt a little lifeless inside. Once it became more full the atmosphere was much better. Still, it was good and we will be returning.

Rude staff!
Asked for help and was ignored. Place was very dirty, food and glasses everywhere. Had to move them myself. Then asked for a cloth as the table was dirty. Was told I will get one. Never came back, food all over the floor. Will not be returning,

Great friendly customer service
Great friendly customer service, great fun for the family of all ages. Lots of other fun experience's in same place with arcade games, Lazer games, table tennis, escape rooms & tenpin bowling with optional food too. Overall A great day out!
