Great store and great staff. I must have walked around 4 times and kept finding cool figures. All the staff were very friendly and helpful too

Idk what all the bad reviews are about. The store owner and staff are so so lovely and very helpful. They have a massive variety of figures which I spent ages looking at.

Website claims dispatch within 24 hours, I placed my order 2 weeks ago and it's still "processing".

Atrocious. Ordered item. Received email saying order cancelled, no explanation. Avoid.

End September of 2023 I ordered a rather expensive figurine that was on pre-order.

After having paid and all, I waited patiently for this package to arrive knowing it would take a long time (I expected at least 2024).

However, as I was curious on the status regarding the figurine, I decided to sent e-mail asking for an update regarding the figure, as the site only says "processing" for it's status.

Over the course of these now ~5 months. I have sent around 5 e-mails asking for an update.

4/5 times, I have been ignored and not received any response back. Only once have they response with a message along the lines of "We will ask the company in Japan and let you know", only to never hear anything back again.

As of writing this document, I have recently sent out another e-mail, but with little hope for an update.

I do not know how good their service is when purchasing in-stock figures. But I recommend holding off from pre-ordering as it is a complete gamble on when (and if!) it will arrive. So far I do still have hope of it arriving, but if I do not receive any update or the figure itself in the next month or so, I will most likely cancel my order.

Update:
As of April 2024, I have finally received my figurine. It was delivered to another address that I had requested, which is good to see that it was changed. The figurine was very well packed and had no damage on the figure nor the box.

Regarding the updates, it turned out that they would only respond when you send them an e-mail through their website. They will not reply to e-mail replies, something that was not clear at all regarding communication.

Although the overall communication wasn't great, the fact that they deliver the correct figure to the correct address and it being very well packed is worth the 4/5 rating.

The item was sold out, but they were quickly to refund. Thank you.

I have been waiting nearly a month for my order and I haven't got it as of this post. I paid nearly £300. No messages no reply's to my messages either starting to think they just took my money. so my review is poor and I would appreciate them not bombarding me with review messages.

Insanely marked up prices. Dropped in when I was in the area as I had no idea the shop existed and I had to take a peek, even the claim to have 'rare' figures is questionable there are plenty of cheaper ways to get hold of any of these via imports, which just get better and better value in comparison once you go beyond one figure at a time.

I got denied due to sold out when they still sell it (sold out hasnt show up)

Animetal helped me with my desperate search of one particual Figure and thanks to them I finally got it for amazing price! Also, the delivery was super quick and with reasonable pricing! If you live in europe or even outside Animetal is amazing and I REALLY recommend them to everyone! I'll for sure come back in the future :D

Can’t complain, everything went as I hoped it would.

Terrible experience - don't expect to get any decent customer service while the owner laughs at you for making a mistake about an anime character

I ordered an item and I got back an email it was unfortunately out of stock, after a few emails and helping they could replace it and the staff member was sooo soooo nice and helpful! I will definitely purchase more items for here ♥️💯

First thing I noticed was the displays in the front of the store! If you’re an anime fan, you can’t help but to be spellbound into walking in! Great music , incredible selection, super friendly and super knowledgeable staff, and if there is any item they don’t have, they can source direct from Japan! I was looking for the my neighbour Totoro fountain that they never released outside of Japan, but thanks to Animetal, its on my shelf right now!

As many stars as possible !!

Were happy enough to take my order to then email two weeks later cancelling the order. If you don’t have the item in stock, don’t take the order!!
False advertising.

Even thou I had a good experience with Animetal, I only made one purchase because they are clearly scalpers and their prices are extremely high. Also be careful on their physical store, as I have seen a few bootlegs. Do you due diligences and research a figure before buying from Animetal (check Amazon JP, Amimami, etc first).

I have only made one purchase with Animetal, but I had a very positive experience.

Normally we don't make any orders with them due to their high prices for pre orders, and also for the extremely high aftermarket prices.

As we lost a pre-order and it was still available in The Animetal store, we decided to risk it and order it. The process was very smooth and the client support was really great.

They delivered the figure themselves, because they were afraid that might be lost or damaged by the delivery company. We were not expecting this VIP treatment.

We usually see the Animetal Team at conventions, and they are really lovely people.

Since this event, I fully trust The Animetal team. I couldn’t give enough praise to them - thank you for your great services, you’re amazing!
