I applied for a job with this agency (Exeter)and was told to finish registration 1st.They never told me where job was until I got a text on the evening to say go to Lidl the next morning for 9am. I was in the car park and just happened to glance at mobile to find a message saying "contact me asap"
I called to be told there was a problem with application and as it was advertised through another branch Exeter couldn't start me.They told me to go back to portal and do this that and the other....it wouldn't work, so I told them through the portal it won't work so I am going home as I didn't get a reply. On way home I received phone calls but was driving.Got home and called them and was told to see their staff at the reception to help but I was home by this time. I told her I won't be going back and as I was saying,"just take my data out of your system" she spoke over me and ignored what I was saying.I had to repeat myself only to be shouted at down the phone, I told her she was unprofessional and hung up.
1. I should have been told the job company
2. Expecting people to jump from evening notice to the next morning is unacceptable unless arranged
3. The job should have been transferred from Croydon branch to Exeter before I even left the house.
4. Talking over people is unprofessional.
5. Shouting at people down the phone is unacceptable and unprofessional.(Maybe you need further training on anger management and customer services)
6. Without people applying you don't have a business.These are humans you are dealing with and should be respected.Afterall they are keeping you in a job.
7. More organisation skills would help before even telling the applicant yes and to go to the job.
8. Staff's attitude in Exeter branch is appalling.
9. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EXETER BRANCH FOR ALL THE REASONS ABOVE. STAY WELL CLEAR PEOPLE AND DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY.I WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS FIRST SHOWING WHAT KIND OF AGENCY YOUR DEALING WITH.

Diane the agency woman in the Darlington branch is rude does not listen and is a horrible agency worker avoid this agency like the plague.

I registered with Best Connection Slough around February/March last year and, despite providing all my details and remaining available for work, I have not been offered a single job opportunity to this day.

What makes this even more disappointing is that I was encouraged by a member of staff to leave a positive review for the agency, which I did in good faith, hoping it reflected a genuine willingness to support candidates in finding employment. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite.

Over the past year, I have continued applying for multiple vacancies advertised on your website, only for my applications to be repeatedly rejected or ignored without any meaningful feedback. After such a long period with no results, it raises serious concerns about whether these vacancies are genuinely available or simply being advertised without active recruitment taking place.

Another frustrating issue has been receiving calls saying there is “an offer available” for me, only for no further details or follow-up to ever be provided, even after I personally chased for updates. Most recently, I was simply told that there was “nothing available” for me after being contacted in the first place. This kind of communication is confusing, misleading, and extremely unprofessional.

As someone with both warehouse and administrative experience, I expected professionalism, communication, and at least fair consideration for suitable roles. Instead, the entire process has felt discouraging and like a complete waste of time.

Candidates deserve honesty, transparency, and respect throughout the recruitment process, especially when they invest their time, effort, and trust in an agency for over a year without any meaningful outcome.

I worked for Best Connection but they didn't pay my holiday pay ! Simply keep their workers money in Best CONNECTION bank account!

Contacted me about a job i applied for (Plymouth branch) then invited me to come in and register and show id etc, Did all that and provided everything i needed and waited to start the job i applied for. They never phoned or contacted me and when i tried to contact them by email after failed calls they just ignored me. Either wanted me to register to sell my data or get some money of the government for registering me. Absolute waste of time clearly they advertise jobs that don't exist as its not the first time my friend had the same experience.

Really disappointed with my experience with Best Connection Recruitment. They never gave me the opportunity to choose a job that would be suitable for me. Instead they picked one for me that I wouldn't think I would have liked and when I told them I wasn't interested in the position the person on the phone acted all blunt when he didn't get his way making me feel guilty for not accepting the position

I came to Best Connection in the middle of November of last year in need of work what offered an immediate start. Rosie managed to put me into a long-standing client of hers within 5 days of first speaking with her.

She kept me employed with them the entire time and was incredibly helpful from start to finish, and I could not recommend them or Rosie enough.

Utter waste of time they called me about a job role got me to register with them only for them to suddenly stop replying don't waste your time at any point look for with agency that don't lead you on

Hello, I want to say that this is a very good agency, the staff is very kind and responsive.

I had an interview scheduled for 11 AM today, but they hung up after only a few words and rescheduled it for a 3 PM WhatsApp conference. Then at 3:08 PM, I received my first call saying I'd have to wait a while, followed by a barrage of calls asking me to provide additional information. Even so, it's already 5 PM and I still haven't received any feedback. My whole day off has been wasted. (Reading Branch)

Been with best connection for 3 years they have always been really professional and helpful especially Tom at the Ipswich branch who is always available when needed

Never use this company... they show you the job.. After that they say they will put you on a start date.. ive never recieved any start date and they keep making excuses up when the start date is.. The staff get paid for making you register so they get your details and documents.. Then ring you up offering you work that is not the job you went for and nobody else will do.. AVOID AND STAY AWAY

We were approached by one of their representatives about using their drivers. At the time we were happy with our existing supplier, but we decided to give them a try. They sent a driver and everything seemed fine.

A couple of months later we suddenly received a debt recovery letter. This was the first time we had heard anything about an outstanding balance. We immediately called them and explained that we had never received any invoices from them. Once they finally sent the invoices through, we paid them straight away.

A few weeks later we discovered they had placed a CCJ on our company file, simply because we did not pay the debt management fees that had been added. If the invoices had been sent to us in the first place, this situation would never have happened.

For any companies considering using their services, please be aware of how they operate.

After reading this review, if Best connections would like to contact us directly for more information, that’s absolutely fine. We have called them multiple times trying to resolve this issue, but each time we are told that “someone in head office is dealing with it,” with no actual resolution.
