The Timber Group Reviews

Very helpful staff delivered on time by really helpful driver

So impressed by this company!
I emailed after placing my order with a special location for the drop off and the chap turned up in the exact place I'd asked and called me to say he was there. He was also an absolute pleasure and happily helped my husband carry concrete fence posts into the back of our garden, all with a smile on his face. After the delivery I saw on the delivery note that someone in the office had even copied the exact what3words location I had emailed over onto the note for the driver, which seems such a simple thing but often never gets passed on. As it turns out, I had measured incorrectly and we had to go to the yard to pick up one more gravel board and I must say the staff there were fab as well. We'll be back for all our timber / fencing needs. Would highly recommend!

Hello kind sirs, would you be kind enough to train your delivery drivers to a better standard, please? Today, me and my student ( I am a driving instructor in Peterborough) had a very dangerous situation with one of your delivery lorries (Volvo KX15 NMY) which pulled out of a side road in Hampton in Peterborough just in front of us nearly causing a collision and giving us 'a finger' while nearly crushing my car (photo attached). I have this whole situation recorded on my dash cam and it will be reported to the police for dangerous driving and not giving way at the junction.

I collect all materials I buy and your lads in the yard are so good and helpful. Please pass on my thanks to them.

Easy and quick service, prompt delivery and good quality wood.

The quality of my timber wasn’t good.It was bowed.End of!

Excellent service throughout

Delivery came as I was going out to work. The driver placed everything where I’d asked. He was very polite and accommodating. I rang to place another order after placing an online order, Dean added it to my original order and didn’t add delivery for the second order. Will definitely use these guys again.

We had Prakash as a delivery driver. He called us several times to make sure we had a heads up on the journey . Then when he got round the corner, he gave us another call. It was so nice to have good customer service .

Prakash went above and beyond when delivering our stuff and super helpful.

Thank you Prakash

Excellent service and delivery. delivery notification received very soon after order was placed. Driver was professional and friendly.

Easy to use web site and great value. Very quick delivery and earlier than I expected. Driver had unloaded the goods before I got outside. Can’t fault it. Thank you.

Easy to order, helpful over the phone, competitive price, delivery was slightly longer than hoped for but nothing that could have been avoided.

Overall, very happy and would use them again.

Easy to use website, great prices, good quality timber with a speedy and neat delivery. What's not to like

I called a store to enquire about a specific floor underlay. I was advised, it wasn't in stock but could be ordered. I placed an order the very same day. The order got confirmed, but the next day I got it inexplicably refunded. There was no communication about the order getting cancelled or the company reaching out. Poor service, without underlay needed for this weekend
Won't be coming back

Got what I needed without any fuss

Delivered in quick time and was helpful and considerate as wasn’t in

Great staff and great price

The office staff were very helpful with arranging delivery and the delivery driver was also fine.

The delivery was excellent and I was really impressed by their customer friendly approach.

Ordered 13 large softwood sleepers . I specified on the order that they were all the same colour and with minimal splitting .
About 5 had quite large splits along their lengths . The agency driver was apparently also “not used to delivering wood” asked my 60 yr old wife for help unloading ..in the end he managed to drop them off himself .
Overall would use again as great price and staff who I spoke to in the office were helpful and delivery on time as scheduled. I appreciate that softwood sleepers do split / crack but wasn’t expecting that much . They will be hidden so no major dramas .
