The right stuff at reasonable prices.

This is about damaged goods and service at pick up.
Purchased a front loading washing machine with the pick up option. Onehunga branch. We put the machine on my trailer. I notice a big hole on the side of the box, exposing the glass door of the machine. I raise my concern, the Indian staff member puts his hand in the hole to check the glass door and tells me it's fine. I take photos and different Indian staff member ask if everything is OK. I raise my concern with him, he does the same hole check as the first Indian staff member and tells me it's fine. He sees I'm not happy about it and he suggest we can unbox it to have a proper look, before I answer, he assures me it's fine like there's no need to unbox it for inspection. I get home and unbox it and the bottom corner is dented indicating it has been dropped, so I took photos of that too. After reading some of these reviews, I've seen alot of complaints about damaged goods. The machine seems to be working fine, but I assume it was damaged in their goods department and now know why there was a hole in the box from the way they inspected it. I hope the machine lasts longer than the warranty, as there are also alot of reviews concerning warranty issues with Trade depot. Please be cautious when purchasing from Trade depot, trust your instincts not their staff.

Near impossible to talk to manager. Will not deal with them again

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience with Trade Depot today.
I purchased a brand-new refrigerator and also paid an additional $169 for installation. When the refrigerator was delivered today, the delivery team simply left this extremely heavy appliance in the garage/parking area of my apartment building and left. I ended up having to move the refrigerator from the garage all the way to my apartment by myself.
After finally getting it into my apartment and unpacking it, I discovered multiple dents and damaged areas on what was supposed to be a brand-new refrigerator.
I paid for a brand-new appliance and an additional installation service, yet I was left to deal with an extremely heavy refrigerator by myself, only to discover that the product was damaged as well.
I have already requested the cancellation and refund of the $169 installation fee and contacted Trade Depot regarding the damaged refrigerator.
Overall, this has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. After everything I had to deal with today, I am extremely unhappy with the service I received.

Never going to shop there again.My husband and I got a fridge freezer from them got delivered today by the driver and he wanted to leave it outside in the box and leave, we asked him if he could bring it inside he replied that is not his job, we are pensioners, we asked him if he would if we paid him, we asked how much he wanted he replied $50 but he wanted the money first in his hand before doing so and that he would not be telling the firm that he took money

Brand new washing machine had a major leak, day 3 I do warranty claim and then it's 3 days of crickets. I call and told it will be booked for collection and a refund will be issued once it arrives back.
The washing machine has been sitting outside waiting to be collected for 7 days, only collection organized was canceled and im still waiting for a new collection date. Meanwhile I have had get a new machine and still waiting for a refund
Its not my fault collection has been delayed so why should I have to wait for my refund - it will be at least 10 days before machine is collected then how long to get back to base and then refund processed

Extensive selection of goods, good prices and free delivery.

ordered 3 items, all in stock in Chch, apparently. I then get notification they are being sent separately and one item delayed, hang on, they were IN STOCK.
Then 3 days later, on the weekend, I get notification they are delivering, I replied to the text saying no, delivery address is a business and closed on a Saturday.
I then get another text telling me I missed my delivery, so I responded with "no you are late, was due Friday".
No more notice from them, until Tuesday night, after 530, telling me I had missed delivery again, so I had to tell them again, only open business hours, no point delivering to a business outside of business hours.
I've asked Trade Depot to cancel order but their support system doesn't seem to work, as now day 3 and no response.

Great store, helpful and knowledgeable staff who were on the floor and easily identifiable for questions. Great products, great service.

I have always enjoyed shopping at Trade Depot Onehunga because of their ever-increasing product range and consistently great prices. Unfortunately, my experience today left a very sour taste.While the store itself is excellent, the attitude of the employee at the checkout was highly unprofessional. Their dismissive behavior made me feel like an absolute burden and a disruption just for completing my purchase.Good prices bring customers through the door, but how we are treated determines if we want to come back. Management needs to be proactive in training front-line staff on basic customer service etiquette. Customers shouldn't be made to feel unwelcome.
