This is the worst company I have ever dealt with I 100% think it's a scam. I brought 2 washing machines off them asked to pay for them that day and they would be on the truck for delivery the next day 14 days later NOTHING. I've had the run around on delivery everyday they have said not today tomorrow not today tomorrow absolute SHIT company! $1200 spent on nothing SCAM! They keep updating my tracking I have screenshots of everyday they have changed the delivery date.

Absolute worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Half of the items they sent were missing parts or severely damaged during delivery.

Contacted their support/warranty department on multiple occasions just to never hear back from them again.

Scamming company run by scammers.

Re visit christchurch depot they told me wait another 2 day to deliver( still not sure).

However the original review still stands as I don't think any action would have been done if Ace hadn't followed up.

I’m really disappointed with the customer service I’ve received from Trade Depot over the past two weeks.

In December 2025, I purchased a fridge/freezer from Trade Depot. Shortly after purchasing it, I noticed the price had dropped by $70. I contacted Trade Depot’s online support, and they agreed to honour the price difference. I was given the option of having the $70 refunded to my bank account or receiving it as a voucher. Unfortunately, I chose the voucher — something I now regret.

Two weeks ago, before visiting the store, I contacted Trade Depot by phone because I couldn’t find the voucher in my emails. I wanted to obtain the voucher code so I could use it when I visited the store that day. The person I spoke to was able to locate the voucher code for me.

I then went straight to the store and, when I went to pay for my goods using the voucher, I was told that it had expired. I was surprised by this because I thought the original email I received when the voucher was issued in December 2025 stated that it wasn’t due to expire until October. Unfortunately, I no longer had the original email, so I couldn’t confirm the expiry date with 100% certainty.

While I was in store that Saturday, I spoke to the team at the sales desk and explained the situation. I was told to email the person I had spoken to on the phone earlier that day. The sales team advised me that the person I emailed would contact IT to have the voucher reactivated and that it would be done by Monday.

I followed their instructions and emailed my reactivation request to the person I had spoken to on the phone earlier that day. The person I emailed responded and confirmed that they had put a request through to IT to have the voucher reactivated. I was told that IT would reactivate the voucher and that it would be done by Monday.

So, two separate people told me that the voucher would be reactivated by Monday.

The following Saturday, a full week later, the voucher still hadn’t been reactivated. I emailed again directly but received no response, so I then contacted online support to follow it up.

It has now been more than a week, and I still haven’t received any response or update. The email I received from online support stated that I would receive a response within 24–48 hours, yet two weeks have now passed since I initially raised the issue.

I completely understand that issues can sometimes take time to resolve, but what I find particularly disappointing is that I was given a clear timeframe by two different staff members, yet nothing appears to have happened and nobody has contacted me to explain the delay.

At this point, I feel like I’m being ignored. I have followed every instruction given to me and contacted the appropriate people multiple times, yet I’m still no closer to having the voucher reactivated.

In hindsight, I really wish I had taken the $70 bank refund when it was originally offered. Had I done that, this entire situation could have been avoided.

Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a very poor impression of Trade Depot’s customer service. I have found them difficult to deal with, communication has been extremely poor, and the commitments I was given have not been followed through.

I don’t think I’ll be shopping at Trade Depot again.

the order is for 2 800mm kitchen wall cabinets and a toe kick.
the toekick was delivered a while ago and is now installed ( this was not without some superficial damage to the top edge but a sufficient portion was undamaged and the damage would not have prevented use)
the cabinets and associated hardware still say Scheduled For Delivery x2

although i have now received a response to my 3rd attempt to make contact via replying to the original invoice email or the "contact us" option on the website
the reason i chose to comment on the public facing facebook post was not mallace but to atttempt to find some way to bring issues to your attention and a warning to the greater public.
this is not a once off issue, over the past 12 months myself and others i live with, have experienced a repeated dissapointment with tradedepots order fulfillment. of the top of my head i can remember personally 2 instances of damaged goods, 2 instances of excessively delayed orders, 1 instance of undelivered accessories to the main order, 2 instances requiring making MULTIPLE attempts to contact trade depot to resolve order issues.
as for other people at my residence, 1 case of requiring legal intervention for significantly damaged goods. additional multiple significantly delayed orders.
personally i am very patient and have learnt to expect to make an order from trade depot 2-4 weeks in advance of requirement, especially for physically large items.
whilst frustrating i do recognise that the offer of reasonably low cost, often suprisingly decent quality for the price, with free delivery, has some inherant logistical optimisation that should be accounted for, free delivery should not mean shit service. there seems to be a systemic failure of tradedepots logistics when i can make 1st order of larger items, later a 2nd order of smaller items. have the smaller items delivered and be waiting weeks for the 1st order. why cant these be consolidated where possible and actually deliver all items together ( within reason, so long as 1 order is not delayed by the other. ) the truck has been to my house atleast twice since the first order was made and still not everything is delivered . that must cost a fortune to fulfill orders.
and finally getting responses its now another ~3weeks still no cabinets and no idea if or when they will arrive, 64days and counting. do better

Trade depot was the only supplier I could find who stocked the product I wanted.
The product arrived in perfect condition.
The delivery required me being at home and I only got 15 minutes warning of its arrival. So that could potentially have been a problem.

We placed an order on August 17 for a cupboard which was in stock at all their stores, were notified that dispatch would be on August 31 which seemed a long wait. We are now being told that delivery will be some time around 15 September, not a certain date, and the trucking company they use has no record of the tracking number. A month to deliver from Hamilton, and they seem to not even know what is going on. Useless company!

The service was great and love how the recommendation was personal. Very helpful.
Nothing was a problem.
