Unhelpful and rude staff
Unhelpful and rude staff on the shop floor at the A38 Liskeard shop. It was too much trouble for the customer service guy to take my payment, even though the unmanned till was 10 feet away. Got sent to the outside counter and after paying was accosted by a rude employee asking to see a receipt even though he'd just watched me pay. You can stuff your shop Trago, it's just as easy to shop online with companies that give a toss.

security staff wrongly accused my partner for stealing and false imprisonment all because my child of 3 years is learning to potty train she ran out of the store towards the toilets so my partner quicky ran after her and taken her to toilets (3 male YES 3 MALE SECURTIY) didn't even announce that they was entering the toilets and they band her from the store as they taken my partner in to the back room partner said they was no CCTV in the room the 3 men didn't even ask to go in her bag they just helped them self once the helped them self to her bag they then said can we look inside you handbag then the 1 male security came up to my self while having my 3 year old daughter and my 5 half month old daughter walking towards me taking his jacket of trying to make a scene (FIGHT) and giving me a load of abuse and such as f*** this you bulls***ing me and said im done with this bulls*** im f***ed off with this sh** im phoning social service's on you kids and the police walked back to the room they had my frighted partner in as had 3 males in my partner then came out side they banned her and followed us to the car this was taken place on Friday 13th 2026 3 days later the Monday the 16th to getting home to police at my front door as the security called the police kids was scared had to get grandparents to come to house to have kids while dealing with the police. just beware if you go trago mills and your child runs off you can not chase them
Don't ask for a refund
On December the 19th I bought my daughter a rug for Christmas. I asked the member of staff if I could refund it if it wasn't to her taste. I was told as long as it hadn't been used that would be fine. The next day I found a more suitable one so I decided to return it on the 23rd December. When I got there they were closed for Christmas. Crazy I know. Closed 2 days before Christmas in retail? I returned on the 15th January and was met with sullen miserable staff. Immediately I was told I was out of the 28 day return gap as the staff member vouldnt read a hand written receipt. I had to show him the credit card slip attached to clarify I bought it on the 19th December. He then proceeded to unwrap the rug (as they cling film wrap it when you buy it.) Took 5 minutes to inspect it even though it hadn't been opened and the pink dispatch note was still in it. Started picking at it as if there was a problem. Then turned to me and said that part of the recipient was missing. I can assure you as soon as I bought it I put the recipt safely in a pocket in my bag as I was unsure whether it was to my daughters taste. He proceeded to get another member of staff to find the missing ? Portion of the reciept. Another 10 minutes. I was told that I would have recieved the missing portion( even though I hadn't).I felt so embarrassed. When the staff member eventually came with the missing recipt he dropped it on the floor walking towards me. Didn't realise until I picked it up. (Maybe that's what happened in the first place?). I then had to go to customer services to get my refund. Another 5 minutes. Trago you need some customer service training to stay in the game. So many good companies out there you are competing against.

Used the click and collect service for first time , ordered and paid for my purchase r’that was ‘in stock’
Following day awaiting email.. heard nothing was passing store so called in to be told ‘oh yes order has been cancelled n
Why? Oh no longer in stock. I have not had any email to tell me this .. oh well give it a few hours for email to tell you it’s been cancelled !
I had to ring to tell them I still haven’t received any email telling me it’s cancelled/ ready for collection , in fact any info.
Finally get an email late afternoon telling me the order is cancelled plus I may have to wait 10days for refund.
Do not use this service it is absolutely crap

Buy a kitchen from Trago? Are you mad?
I’m sure that’s what my friends thought when I told them. Yes, the kitchen department looks a little dated and slightly chaotic when you look around, but what it lacks in finesse it more than makes up for in quality. The kitchens are made by English Rose. They are much better quality than anything you’ll find in Wren, Wickes, Ikea and the like, and the selection of worktops is amazing.
I was lucky enough to have Steve Hill as my kitchen consultant, who, as an ex-kitchen fitter, really knew his stuff. The design and ordering process was simple and stress free, and then it was just a case of waiting for delivery and putting it all together.
I have never fitted a kitchen before, but it was really straightforward, and what impressed me most of all was the quality of the product. The cabinet doors are made from solid ash, and the carcass backs are 18mm, not the thin boards you find in many other kitchens .
The hardware is top quality, and the end result looks and feels like a really high end kitchen costing many thousands more.
Throughout the process I knew that if there was an issue, all I had to do was call Steve, and he would be able to help. That was really reassuring, and I know you wouldn’t get that kind of service from the likes of B&Q.
In summary, when you want a new kitchen, try to put your preconceptions aside and take a trip to Trago Mills, Newton Abbot. Ask for Steve and I guarantee you’ll end up with the kitchen of your dreams.
Hard to assemble
I have a mixed review on my experience with this company and don’t know who is at fault really the company or the manufacturer. Had a sofa delivered and whilst putting it together today the feet was near impossible to attach had to go out and buy different screws as the others would not go in after trying normal and electric screwdriver it was like they had no holes for them to go in contemplated ringing but decided against it as could not be left without sofas so maybe along with delivery they should offer assembly of the sofas
Very anti dog
Visited on a very hot day trying to keep our dog off the hot pavement but we're not even allowed to wait by the door out of the heat while my wife went in.
Got shouted at by the very rude security guard.
They should be ashamed of themselves and are a very bad advert for an otherwise very dog friendly town.
Broken kettle
I purchased a kettle but got home and found the handle was broken. I rang Falmouth branch... explained that I was unable to return it except by post. So much extra help was given by the team from helping with getting a pic to them... excellent contact and a refund issued...all in space of half and hour .....I was the hold up trying to get my pic sent...

Excellent customer service at Falmouth
Went to the liskeard branch to get patio slabs bit they had sold out of the ones i needed. Rung the falmouth store and Angie checked stock immediately and asked me if I could do click and collect on their website, and explained exactly how to do that. I tried this but the site wouldn't work. I rang back and Angie was very helpful, transfered me to another very helpful staff member on the click and collect desk, who physically checked the stock, and reserved my items for me so I could collect later in the day. The most friendly and helpful staff you can imagine and went above and beyond to help me out
Truly horrible place
I hate this dreadful place. Massive sprawling complex terribly laid out and you spend half your time wandering around trying to find what you want and the other half trying to find the exit.
The worst part is the layout and operation of the garden centre. You have to park at the front of the store, wend your way through it, make your purchase, then walk all the way back through the store and drive your car to the pick up point where you made your purchase.
This area is staffed by the rudest most disinterested "security" staff I have ever come across. When I tried to walk through some jobsworth git told me I wasn't allowed to and when I asked why he said, "Health & Safety". What did he think I was going to to do, drop a plant pot on my foot? So I duly did the trek through the store. When I returned with my receipt he saw me coming and deliberately walked away to do something else. Worse, I had a click and collect which some sullen girl took a desultory look at and sent me on a pointless drive to the wrong place. When I returned and asked her where I should collect my goods she simply shrugged and said, "I don't know, I'm just security".
I found my stuff in the end but vowed never to return to this vile faux Disney World dump.

I bought two electric reclining two seater sofas and a reclining chair from their Danielle range suppled by exclusive sofas and chairs at a cost of £2015.97
18 months later the foam on one of the seats has collapsed as it’s out of the 12 months warranty tragic not interested and couldn’t even give me the phone no of the supplier
Contacted exclusive sofas and chairs all I can it was worse than Tragos reaction
Going to cost me £215 to get it put right by a local upholster

Great place to spend the day!
It’s sad to read all the poor reviews. We’re regular visitors to the store and have never had a bad experience. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The grounds are lovely. Regularly walk by the river with the dog and it’s kept clean and the paths are swept. Plenty of facilities to set up your own barbecue! What more can you ask for?!

Website rubbish. Spent ages putiing lots of things in the basket for click and collect. At checkout all it does is spin around going nowhere? Tried agin on a different computor and browser and same thing.

Trago mills falmouth do not order kitchens from them. Customer service shocking getting staff that are not trained to order kitchens and got all order wrong! 3 deliveries later still waiting for rest to arrive ,manager Mark and another one don't want to no. Would never step through them doors again !!!!

Ordered 3 items furniture have waited 5 months for delivery so far. When I phoned them in August was told 2 items had arrived so I asked when delivery date was and was told they wouldn't deliver untill 3rd item would be in which was another 2 months and that if I wanted the 2 items that had arrived they would deliver them but I would have to pay for delivery again when 3 rd item comes in I have already paid £36 for delivery still not received the 2items but they been in stock now for a month.wirst company I have ever delt with they take your money and don't care after.so if u looking at buying any furniture from there think twice.i would never buy from them again if I could have given 0star I would

I was served by a polite and helpful assistant named Cameron, in the gardening department yesterday. He selected and carried several heavy garden urns, as well as four packs of compost, which he placed carefully into my car. Additionally he noticed that one of the items had an imperfection, for which he made a substitution, without being asked.

As I already had started building it thought as the very worst they would pay for a woodern base.....No! All they said was we can collect it if I didn't want it . A bit late now iv built it now so had to purchase a woodern base ...£28.83.

We even joked about the brown doormat i had bought.Didn't get his name but he brightened our day. We'll done Trago for employing such a nice person. Just saw name on receipt was Ciwan.
