Steven has been very helpful, talking me through the whole booking process and ensuring we got suitable flight times and fantastic 5* accommodation and upgrade. He has been patient and answered all my queries competently.

Ive always talked about going to see Draculas castle in Romania and I saw the deal and jumped at the chance. Flights, 3 days with hotel and breakfast for two people at just £500, bargain. Ive not gone on the trip yet but booking was very easy and straight forward. As long as the trip goes well, I will be booking with them again.

Our hotel is ok, strange but ok.

The salt mine trip was booked but didn’t happen as they moved the time and the Travelcrew didn’t tell us!

Now we are at Auschwitz-Birkenau, picked up at 07:30 by coach. Promised an English tour guide (nope) promised to skip the queues, (nope 4 hours so far) the coach driver has threatened to leave us here if I complain.

Phoned Michael, lots of platitudes but never get back to you! Once they have your money then good luck!

Be warned!

Never book with them through wowcher. They made me take down my negative reviews in order to get my refund which max got me once they confirmed the negative review was gone. So now I have my money I'm putting it back up

They are scammers and you purchase a great deal on Wowcher only for them to say that deal is no longer available and if you want what you initially paid for you have to pay even more money and they will offer you places that weren't even in the advert.
I was ignored for weeks with only getting responses when Wowcher stepped in to get involved asking for conversation. To then get told I could only have a refund if I removed my negative reviews of the company

Steven was polite,all good regards to the initial call. However I will not use Travelcrew again. The advert on Wowcher ends up being ridiculously expensive. You purchase what you think is a fantastic offer, redeem your voucher the they call you to confirm everything. Then it's non refundable so you don't have much of a choice but to continue. Out of pocket by £200.

Absolutely Appalling Experience – Avoid The Travel Crew at All Costs.

We booked a named 4 star hotel holiday package to Crete through The Travel Crew, via Wowcher only to discover that the holiday package they sold us didn’t really exist. I believe they took our money for a completely fictional holiday that doesn’t exist, as we where told the hotel was no longer available, however I need to make clear that as of today some months later the the “holiday” is still live and available to purchase on Wowchers page.

Instead of offering a refund or offering a comparable alternative, they attempted to offer us a substandard hotel, a hotel i suspect is the real holiday on offer all along as two different travel advisors offered us the same hotel on separate calls. The hotel was far below the quality advertised at 3 stars with really bad Tripadvisor reviews. To make matters worse, they tried to up-sell us on “better” flights, clearly just a tactic to squeeze even more money from us after already failing to deliver on their original promise.

Since then, our experience has gone from bad to worse and we still don’t have our money back after many weeks of back and forth in emails. Wowcher send you to Travel Crew saying the voucher has been redeemed . travel crew send you back to Wowcher.

Every attempt to get a resolution has been met with silence, dismissive responses, or being bounced from one person to another with no accountability and absolutely no progress. They have completely washed their hands of responsibility and continue to ignore our concerns.

This company is disorganized, untrustworthy, and clearly only interested in taking your money without providing the service they promise. I would never recommend The Travel Crew to anyone – in fact, I’d strongly urge you to stay far away from them. They’ve ruined what was supposed to be a last minute summer break for us, and they’ve shown zero interest in providing a refund and still currently have our money.

Easy to book. Michael was a great help and responses to any questions came speedily.

I purchased a Wowcher holiday deal in July 2025 for a specific Budapest break at the City Hotel Ring, with travel dates 16–18 August for our anniversary. The advert made it look like this was a straightforward package — hotel, flights, and clear dates.

However, the vouchers were auto-redeemed within 36–48 hours, which meant I was blocked from Wowcher’s advertised 14-day no-quibble refund guarantee. The holiday provider (Travelcrew) then asked me to call them to finalise the booking. During that call, I was pushed towards more expensive alternatives. I made it very clear I wanted the deal exactly as advertised, and was told it would be confirmed within 48 hours. I heard nothing, and when I chased them, I was told the original offer was suddenly unavailable.

Instead, I was offered materially different alternatives such as Christmas market trips in December or a “mystery” destination. None of these were what I purchased. At this point, I had lost both the holiday I booked and my refund rights, and Wowcher ignored my complaint.

Reading other reviews, it seems this is a common pattern: advertise attractive packages, auto-redeem vouchers to cut off refunds, then upsell or push customers onto something else. In my view, this is misleading and incredibly stressful for customers who book in good faith.

I have now had to escalate this with PayPal to try and get my money back.

If you are considering booking with Wowcher for a holiday, be very careful. What you see advertised may not be what you actually get
