Today arrived to my hands katana from truekatana.com. Wow, the katana looks incredibly good. It is just as described from their webside. Details on brondze parts are well made, the sharp blade has got a very nice shape and visible hamon. Overall look is amazing. Firstly they told me that the shipping to my country, Slovakia, may be difficult if even possible but everything went well. The email communication between me and the store was very smooth, informative with fast responses. The delivery process was without complications. There was a very short time at custom office in my country and a day latter it got courier in his hands. I am totally satisfied and will recommend this store.

You get less than what you pay for!
Cheap price, cheaper service and not really what the product picture looked like. They clearly use other companies product pictures because they aren't taking pictures of the junk they are sending.

They wanted me to return it, which would had cost almost half of what I paid for it. (Assuming so they could resell it). It wasn't worth the shipping and fighting with them to get a refund, disputed and then deposited it into the trach bin.

I saw all their good reviews on their website and figured they look legit. If I would had researched them just a little better I would had found all of these reviews on TrustPilot.... always trust the third party review pages.

I purchased a katana online from TrueKatana.com because of its affordable price. However, when the item arrived, I realized the quality was very poor. It had weak craftsmanship, plastic-like details, and it arrived defective and rusty.

After contacting customer service, the communication was poor and confusing. I was instructed to return the item using UPS express shipping, which cost me about one-third of the original price. Later, the company acknowledged that the product had a manufacturing defect and issued a refund for the item itself, but did not reimburse the return shipping cost, even though the issue was not my fault.

In conclusion, I strongly recommend doing thorough research before purchasing from this company. There are many other sellers that offer better product quality and far more reliable customer service.

The item took a while to ship, which I understand given where it is coming from. However I had to reach out for the tracking info and it was questionable. The product did arrive and the outside looks like the photos. I sent pictures of the inside to the company and was told that's how they are. So this is what you get for $159

I have ordered a Katana from Germany, 1060 metal. It arrived today. After three weeks and the support was also available by e-mail. They wanted my phone number for shipping. There was also shipment tracking. I am very satisfied. The quality is good, it could just have been a bit sharper, but I'll just do that myself.

Non responsive to customer email, phone number same result.

In the day of instant communication to not reply to a concerned customer email is absurd and poor customer service.

Currently opened a case with Paypal and hopefully they do the right thing and cancel the order, if not I go to the bank and open a case there let them deal with the legal consequences of their own actions.

Also read the MANY reviews OUTSIDE of their own website, check reddit, trustpilot etc.... VERY deceptive company with a flashy website that pops up #1 on the google search.

Sometimes customers get a product, many times they do not and truekatana is aware of this.

Also if you are outside the USA, customs may or may not seize the item but truekatana is aware of this and will play games and send the item to restricted countries anyway.
Final note after reading dozens of comments, the materials are misleading or fake.
There is no such thing as a "real" handforged katana at under 500-1000$ USD, 200$ you can bet its deception.

UPDATE:
FEB 25, 2025 they have issued a refund once a dispute was opened with Paypal. I recommend anyone paying with Paypal do this right away if you do not receive your item or they do not reply to email/phone call within 2 days. 1.2 stars out of 5 since they did issue the refund, but that's only after Paypal forced their hand and sent them a case for refund.

if you are outside USA, DO NOT buy one from them because the customs office will find out that is a real katana and will not ship it to you.Also you will lose all your money.I had a bad experience

Truekatana or "espadas Samuari" is a shady company which have a great looking website with gorgeous pictures and…that's all. Items are overpriced, what they sell for 300 u$s you can find by 80 u$s on other sites. Quality is by far a lot worse than in the promotional pictures.
"Express delivery" never happens, I bought items and one month later they were unable to even provide a with a simple tracking number.
My advice: Avoid at all cost.

True Katana is a bad company that sells overpriced products that are worth less than a quarter of their price. They do not respond to complaints or delay their responses. I had an issue with them that they refuse to resolve, even though I documented everything. Very poor experience. Avoid them. There are many better companies on the market that sell cheaper, higher-quality products with a warranty.

Stay away, save your cash, unless you like to be out of pocket.

I bought a sword with the delivery to Poland. They attached an invoice for more that 5 times higher price which caused me to pay customs fee about 150% of the original value. If I wouldn't pick it up - the package would be sent to sender and finally destroyed because as they told they were not going to pick it up. The sword which I finally received was very well packed but ...damaged . It was damaged because they packed it damaged already. They don't care. Replied to me " You can choose not to pay". It was a disaster. Wasted my time and money.

Took weeks to ship, but did arrive in good condition, as advertised. Packaging was questionable, but I'm ultimately satisfied.

after 20 days since i purchased the product, there is still no estimated shipping date. customer support told me that they can't promise the ship date and it is something they cannot control. hope I can get the product eventually. I am not happy with the shipping time at least and hope the product worths the wait

First time doing a review but I have to warn people. Straight up scam took my money and refusing giving me a refund after not receiving my order.
