Omg yall down sized the drinks too. This isn’t right.

Only thing I will say is that my waiter Luke was sufficient and quick service and so so nice. This is the location in Brixton

Pre - booked a group table for drinks only for a birthday celebration,turned up on time, ordered drinks only to be told no cash accepted 😭. We had not been informed of this prior to arriving,despite booking the table weeks in advance, and all of us barring one had brought cash, also no signs informing patrons of this new policy.Spoke to the manager who was very obliging and respectful,and stated it was a brand new policy and had been introduced in the last few days. So decided to take it up wih head office, and received possibly the worse response to a complaint I have encountered. No addressing the issues raised just, a thank you for bringing the matter to our attention.!! They need to do better!

I had a great time at Turtle Bay, Exeter, Alisha is an amazing bartender! She is friendly, welcoming, helpful and somehow has time for everyone even when it’s really busy. She gives great recommendations for cocktails & choices of rum & makes the whole experience really fun. Thank you 😁

It feels like the bar has taken over, and the kitchen's been left behind at Turtle Bay.

We visited the York branch today and were really disappointed. The menu has clearly been cut back, and what’s served feels like the bare minimum: small bowls of reheated, pre-prepped food with overly rich, basic sauces, and sides like bland rice and peas or chips. I had to ask for a proper-sized bowl just to combine my meal. The wings were large and arrived suspiciously fast—tasty sauce, but nothing felt marinated or made with care. It all felt like a Caribbean-themed fast food chain—Jamaican McDonald's at best.

No garnishes, no fresh slaw, no sign of anything cooked with real passion or attention. The magic Turtle Bay once had just isn’t there anymore.

Menus across locations seem to have followed suit—Manchester’s is the same. The focus has clearly shifted to drinks and atmosphere, and the food has become an afterthought.

My girlfriend couldn’t eat her meal—it was far spicier than described and upset her stomach. While our server apologised, no refund was offered. We regret not pushing for one.

Even with a Unidays discount, the whole thing felt overpriced. We've happily paid more for great meals elsewhere, but this just felt like a cost-cutting exercise hiding behind a once-loved brand.

The service was friendly, and the vibe was lively, especially for those there to drink. But sadly, we’ll be deleting the app and won’t return.

It’s a real shame—rising costs seem to have gutted the food offering, and Turtle Bay appears to be coasting on its reputation, not its cooking. I hope things can improve.

Birmingham venue by train station, Victoria was an amazing bar tender, she was so friendly and perfect at her job, delicious cocktails and super friendly and smiley. Thanks babe !! Xxxx

Bottomless brunch with my sister was great !! Natalia served us and she was amazing !!! give her a raise !!

Ordered a main course “jerk salmon” and waited for an hour before it was served. It was cold. Fortunately they had a microwave to reheat it which only took 7 or 8 minutes. Poor quality. The staff were very friendly otherwise it would be 1 star.

Ordered fiery jerk chicken. Not fiery at all just juice over top of half chicken. If you ate chicken with no juice just tasted like no taste roast chicken. Served with dollop of "coleslaw " not much flavour to that either and plantpot of spicy fries which looked on the surface of a generous serving but deceptive as fries in cone if paper so about a third of serving you expect when looking g at it. Very disappointing. First and last visit I'm afraid

duvon was very helpful and attentive. he had a great sense of humour and made sure i received my food and drink quickly.

I have been an avid supporter of Turtle Bay for many years loving their food and the selection of cocktails. Yesterday my friend, who was leaving the area to go and live up north, gathered a few of us together to go for her leaving meal.

As of Tuesday this week they change the menu. It has considerably shrunk down to the point where there was nothing on there that I could eat another friend who had allergies found that no one could tell her exactly what was in the recipe and so they had to agree to do a breakfast for her so that they knew exactly what was in it. I can safely saying they have lost a regular customer, in fact at least eight of us! Poor show TB!!

Solihull branch is decent.

Durham branch a no-go zone.

Very disappointed with the meals and cocktails at the Durham branch. Regular visitor to the restaurant in London's Hammersmith that is 5* to have such a disappointing experience in Durham. After selling it to those accompanying me, the coctails were nothing like you get at Hammersmith, paling in comparison. I understand they are catering for students, but the price is still the same. So just felt ripped - off. Nothing good to say about the experience at all, Food, staff or cocktails.

I went to Turtle Bay, Nottingham, expecting a good dining experience, but it turned into one of the most disappointing restaurant visits I’ve ever had. My wife wanted to try the stew chicken, but she doesn’t like overly spicy food. I politely asked if she could simply taste a drop of the sauce before ordering — nothing unreasonable, just a quick check.

The waiter asked the chef, who flat-out refused. No explanation, no compromise, nothing. When we asked why, we were met with silence and a shrug. At that point, we cancelled our drinks and left.

If a restaurant can’t show even the most basic courtesy or flexibility for its customers, then it doesn’t deserve their business. We will not be returning, and I would urge others to think twice before going.

Our 5th visit over the past 2 years for Bottomless brunch. We found the experience has slowly gone down hill. Very disappointed on our latest visit to York mainly because they no longer serve Gin Based cocktails such as ‘Tingalings’ even though Google says Turtle Bay still does. Not everybody likes Rum based cocktails. Staff were great, friendly, very helpful, especially Drew and George. Food was average, fried chicken was bland, poor quality chicken. Probably won't be going again
