From small beginnings The UPVC Company is now one of Scotland’s largest window & door installers. Over 20 years ago Jim McGill recognised that companies were charging highly inflated prices for UPVC windows and doors. With a loan from the Prince’s Trust he started to manufacture windows & doors from a small unit in Uddingston and offered Customers a top quality product at realistic prices. The business went from strength to strength and within 5 years moved to bigger premises to meet demand for their products. The UPVC Company now employs over 70 people and all doors & windows are made using some of the latest technology and production techniques in their bespoke factory in Wishaw. The materials used in manufacture are to British Standards or higher and all products are made to the latest safety and security standards and are fully guaranteed for TEN Years. All windows have gas filled energy efficient low E glass & warm-edge spacer to further reduce heat loss saving not only money but also reducing energy usage in the home. As well as windows, over 500 door styles are available and we also have a full range of French, Patio & Bi-fold Doors to give you easy access to your garden so you can take maximum advantage of the spring and summer weather. We cover the Central belt of Scotland and have supplied over 200,000 customers with new windows and/or doors. The company's sales and installation teams are highly trained in identifying the best product for each customers’ needs and making sure that the whole process runs smoothly from start to finish. “We never compromise on quality and part of the service is that customers are not asked to part with a penny until they are completely satisfied. Our after-sales service is also second to none and I offer my personal guarantee that customer satisfaction is given the number one priority in this company.” Says Jim McGill the MD. “I believe in offering top quality at a realistic, fixed price,”

New front and back composite doors
We had a new front and back door fitted and were very pleased with the whole process. Iain that came out to discuss initially was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and provided excellent advice. We really liked it was no-pressure. He chatted through options sent me brochures and told me to contact if any questions. There was no hard sell and we didn’t feel any pressure. He was very quick at responding to emails when I asked questions about options on colours or glass designs. When we decided to go ahead Iain was great at advising of next steps and communicating when surveyor would come out to measure. Surveyor was friendly and very efficient. When it came to the fitting we were so pleased with the service. Joiner was friendly and polite . He did an excellent job and tidied up after himself. He also make sure we happy with the doors, letter box position and everything before we left. Excellent service and we are so pleased with our new doors. Whole process was seamless.

Ordered and paid for 6 windows through…
Ordered and paid for 6 windows through the website, order was cancelled by them 5 days later and they refunded the money to me.. I didn't realise they had cancelled the order they never contacted me. So i didn't realise they had for another 3 days. So 8 days after ordering I'm contacting them asking why they have refunded me when I find out they aren't accepting my order "because the pricing is wrong on their website", that their coats have gone up. So I ask if I can still order windows and what would be the new price, they said they will recalcuate and call me back in a couple of hours.. well it's been 3 days. So 11 days after ordering I'm now having to take my business elsewhere. I would advise buyers to use a credit card that's offers you some buyer protection when paying, just incase the company goes bust whilst your waiting for your order.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for taking the time to write your review, it’s appreciated. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused.Due to rising costs for materials logistics etc, it wasn’t worth doing, we tried our best to get a courier to take your windows down to Wales but the costs were extortionate. We have since contacted our I T guy to have a look at our costings.
Sorry again Chris.

Bad workmen ship
Product fine
The fitting of the doors where so badly fitted that the inside of the house was flooded every time it rained,i sent pictures of the problem to the company but still it wasn't resolved , contacted this company on a regular basis, back and forward with the complaint with no joy so therefore I had to pay out more money to someone else to fix the problem so therefore I would NOT go near this company and would NOT recommend to my worst enemy.
