Extremely Disappointed with Urban Company – Worst After-Sales Service
I have been an Urban Company customer for more than 2 years and even renewed my Native Water Purifier subscription because I trusted the brand. Unfortunately, the moment my purifier required service under warranty, that trust completely disappeared.
For over a month, I have been following up almost every single day. I have raised complaints, chatted with support, and explained the issue multiple times, but all I have received are apologies and repeated promises that “a technician will be assigned.” Every day I am asked to wait, yet the problem remains unresolved.
The purifier has not been functioning properly since it was serviced, leaving my family without a working water purifier for an unacceptably long time. Despite repeatedly explaining the urgency, no one at Urban Company has taken this issue seriously.
What is most disappointing is:
* New installations seem to receive immediate attention.
* Existing customers with warranty issues are continuously ignored.
* Every support executive gives the same scripted responses without providing an actual solution.
* I have spent countless hours following up, yet no one has taken ownership of resolving the issue.
I have always trusted Urban Company and renewed my subscription in good faith, but this experience has shown me that their after-sales service and warranty support are extremely disappointing.
I am now left with no option but to share my experience publicly and escalate this matter until it is resolved.
Urban Company, please stop sending apologies and start providing solutions. A premium service is measured not by how quickly you sell a product, but by how responsibly you support your existing customers.
I sincerely hope no other customer has to go through this kind of experience.

Too bad service. I don't like UC's service. Size many things in house is misplace. Like hand wash and manu things, they don't clean properly living room, bedroom and kitchen. I waste my money.

They are Frauds
I asked them to book cleaning for my office they asked me to book 3 BHK. I did the same but after that they cancelled my service and charges me cancellation 699. they are real fraudsters. They gave me the same services at same place 3 times before
If you want to survive in the industry adapt to customer needs
If you want to survive in the industry, understand customer needs.
You started off as great, later you started twisting your policies and inconveniencing customers to meet your needs. When we book, we book a certain professional. If you are re-assigning the service to another professional, ask for the customer's consent before you do.
What is with the clothes washing that only machine wash is allowed? This is India, much of the clothes are not machine washable. People prefer handwash only because of the nature of the fabric. Will you soon start saying that our maids will only vaccum clean the house, dishwashing will be done only if you have a dishwasher etc? If you can help with only machine washing of clothes, we do not need that, we can do that ourselves - you are not adding any value here.
And your cancellation fees. You say that cancellation done before 12 hours is free, and you charge a fee after that. Fair enough. But if you change the professional before 6 hours at 1:10am and charge us a cancellation fee, for cancelling at 7:30 am that is not fair business practice. You should also change the professional before 12 hours, after calling us and confirming that we are fine with the change.
And I chatted with your chatbot and asked to talk to an agent. I wanted to give you a chance before reporting it on social media. But your bot refused to connect me to an agent despite me insisting 4-5 times and telling it that I will report on social media if I cannot talk to an agent. So here you go.

I am sharing this because I am currently without a safe, functional water source for my family and three young children. My water purifier stopped working, and instead of providing helpful service, Urban Company has turned the situation into an endless, stressful, and accusatory ordeal.
After an unhelpful AI interaction, I was contacted by a representative who treated me less like a customer and more like a suspect in a crime scene. They subjected me to a barrage of senseless questions, demanding I perform illogical tests while completely ignoring the reality that the machine is non-functional.
It feels like this entire "drama" is because my device is still under warranty, and they are doing everything they can to avoid admitting a fault or providing timely support. Their priority seems to be protecting their liability rather than ensuring a family has access to clean drinking water.
Offering a technician slot 4–5 days away for a household with three children is a total failure of service. If you are relying on Urban Company for essential home utilities, be warned: their support process is designed to obstruct, not to help.

Disappointed with my recent battery…
Disappointed with my recent battery replacement experience through Urban Company.
I paid approximately ₹3,500 for a laptop battery replacement because I was assured that an original OEM ASUS battery would be installed. However, after installation, the battery is providing only around 1.5 hours of backup, which is similar to what a low-cost local battery typically delivers.
From my previous experience, a genuine ASUS OEM battery should provide significantly better backup, around 2.5–3 hours under similar usage conditions. If the performance is the same as a local battery that costs around ₹1,500, it raises serious concerns about the quality and authenticity of the battery that was installed.
I contacted customer support and explained the issue, but unfortunately, I did not receive any meaningful assistance, inspection, replacement, or even a reasonable resolution.
As a customer, I paid a premium price expecting genuine parts and reliable after-sales support. I am sharing my experience so that other customers can make informed decisions and so that Urban Company can review this case and provide a fair resolution.

My experience with Urban Company’s Smart Door Lock has been extremely disappointing.
I purchased this lock expecting a reliable security product and professional after-sales support. Unfortunately, when the lock developed a problem, I discovered that the support service was nowhere near the standard expected from a company selling home security products.
It has been more than a week since I reported the issue. Despite countless follow-ups, repeated explanations, and multiple assurances from the support team, the problem remains unresolved. Every time I contact support, I am given another promise, another update, or another excuse, but no actual solution.
What is even more frustrating is that I clearly informed the team about the suspected issue with the lock module, yet valuable time was wasted repeating the same questions instead of taking corrective action. I was also asked to share an alternate contact number for a callback, but no call was ever made.
A home security product should provide peace of mind. Instead, this product and the support experience have caused unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and frustration.
The product may look good on paper, but a product is only as good as the support behind it. In my case, the after-sales service has been one of the worst customer support experiences I have encountered.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Urban Company’s Smart Door Lock to anyone. If a company cannot resolve a security-related complaint even after more than a week, customers should think carefully before investing their money.
I have now requested a refund as I have completely lost confidence in both the product and the support provided.

Dear Customer Support Team,
I wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding the highly unsatisfactory service provided during the servicing of three split air conditioners at my flat.
I had booked AC servicing through your platform and paid the prescribed charges. An appointment was scheduled for 6:00 PM on 2 June 2026. A person identifying himself as your technician, Mr. Deepu Ghose, arrived at approximately 7:00 PM.
After inspecting the three AC units, he informed me that one AC was low on refrigerant gas while the other two were functioning properly. He then advised me that if the issue was reported through Urban Company, approval and execution would take time. He suggested that if I paid him directly, he could complete the work immediately. Trusting his representation as your technician, I paid ₹3,000 through UPI to an account belonging to one Mr. Bikash Acharjee, as instructed by him.
The very next day, it was discovered that:
1. One AC started leaking water.
2. The AC in which gas was allegedly filled stopped cooling altogether.
When these issues were brought to Mr. Ghose's notice, he repeatedly delayed his visits, making us wait for several hours. Although he eventually came and attempted some rectification work, the condition of the ACs deteriorated further. He assured us that the problems would be resolved, but no improvement resulted.
Subsequently, Mr. Ghose informed us that his friend, Mr. Sampak Bhuyan, would attend to the matter. Mr. Bhuyan visited the premises, dismantled parts of the AC system, and stated that he would return the next day to complete the repairs. However, he repeatedly postponed the visit and, despite eventually attending after considerable persuasion, was unable to rectify the defects. He finally left at around 8:00 PM without restoring the ACs to working condition.
As a result:
• One AC remains non-functional and does not cool.
• Another AC is leaking water.
• The service for which payment was made has not been satisfactorily completed.
• I have suffered considerable inconvenience, wasted time, and unnecessary expense.
• An unauthorized payment of ₹3,000 was collected outside the Urban Company platform by persons representing themselves as your technicians.
I request that Urban Company:
1. Conduct an immediate investigation into the conduct of the concerned technicians.
2. Arrange for proper inspection and rectification of all affected AC units at no additional cost.
3. Refund the ₹3,000 collected through the UPI transfer.
4. Confirm whether the collection of money outside the platform was authorized by Urban Company.
5. Provide appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and deficient service rendered.
I expect a prompt resolution of this matter. Failing satisfactory action, I shall be constrained to seek appropriate remedies before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and other competent authorities.

Very poor service
Very poor service. If you book a cleaner after 3pm, there is a high chance they will not show up. They will initially claim they are running late, seemingly hoping you do not contact customer service. When you do contact the call centre, you are told the cleaner is on the way, yet hours later nobody arrives.
On multiple occasions, the cleaner has then messaged to say they are tired and that attending the booking would take them beyond their working hours. It feels like excuses are being made to avoid completing the job.
Management appear to have no control over the cleaners or drivers, and customer service provides inaccurate updates. This has happened to me four times now, so it is clearly not a one-off issue.
Very disappointing and unreliable service. I would not recommend this company.

And now my main compressor isolator been burnt due to the short circuit. Company does not want to take responsibility and still want to incur charges to fix what their staff has created. They are not properly trained and when shit goes wrong you’ll bear the price. Careful of engaging their service

urban company warranty is a Scam . Their customer care doesn't support customers , their technicians intentionally leaked the ac gas and ac was working fine frommlast 6 months . one visit from them caused gas leakage . they have no support for it

If you call them just for a AC service, they come up with issues like needing a gas refill or a gas leak repair to demand extra money; if you refuse, they cancel the service and deduct a ₹200 charge. It is better to get the service done by a local technician.

I need explanation how in 1day my full gas was gone? I asked the installation guys how is it possible; but they had no answer but to say " we doknow but gas is low!" Now after spending nearly 10K together uninstallation & installation our AC is not cooling atall

1) my appointment was booked for 4pm I was watching where the man had reached and it kept saying 10mins so at 4:20pm I contacted customer service and they said sorry for the delay can we send someone at 5:30pm
2) the guy cleaning left water on the wall the leakage and now I have to get my wall painted
3) I have 4 acs units, I took out all the remotes before they arrived and by the end of it one of my ac remotes was missing, we could not find it where they misplaced it, so I told them just to leave I’ll keep looking, still haven’t found it.
WILL PAY MORE TO SOMEONE ELSE THEN USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
And cleaning 3 acs took them over 3 hours, 1hour per ac.

I have booked a party makeup and the beautisian didnt arrive. Neither did I get any notification. When I tried calling customer care I was talking to virtual agent for a long time b4 i could reach a real person. I missed most part of the ceremony and as compensation they were just offering me 200 rs. I am never using this platform anymore

Horrible service, they destroy a table and now I am left to the consequences of repair it. Compensation is 1/6 of the cost of the table.
