Thanks to Karl for expert advice and supply of a Roman blind. A very accurate fit for the aperture: beautifully manufactured and neatly installed with a minimum of mess. Excellent service.

Very professional service, highly recommended. Large range of products to choose from. They come to your house, measure up and bring sample books. Spiros, the fitter arrived on time and put up 7 blinds, 3 different types, without leaving a spec of dust. I'd definitely use them again.

The team were great! We had a blind not working in a meeting room, they attended and helped us the next day. We ordered a new blind, they came within a week to fit this and worked around our schedules. Would highly recommend, great communication and team.

Consultation happened two weeks ago no follow up call no message on either numbers to say when they will be open! I really wanted to use a family run local business but I have had no communication at all this is very strange and doesn’t reflect the information and impressions one gets from the website. I’m still waiting to get my blinds put up !!

Had our forth window shutters placed last week. Excellent installation and good clean up afterwards. Had a small problem, which Karl and Spiros soon rectified. I can highly recommend Vale Curtains and Blinds for shutters and a very caring business. Our house looks very smart now.

Spiros was very efficient when he arrived. In fact both my bedroom blinds were fitted within the hour. Very pleasant man too. Highly recommended.

Blinds themselves came with pelmets and were reasonably priced.

Today was my second time of using Valecurtainsandblinds. Today Spyros fitted new curtains in my art room. Previously the company had fitted curtains in my two bedrooms and a blind in my bathroom. The service is outstanding. The initial visits were carried out professionally and efficiently. The fitting date this time was brought forward from the original one given and on both occasions the fitters have been efficient and friendly. It is so refreshing to find a company today that cares about its customers and really honours what it promises. I can highly recomend them.

Karl and Spyros fitted 8 Shutters upstairs and Panel Blinds in my lounge yesterday.
The quality of the Shutters and Panel Blinds are fabulous. They carried out the job to an exceptional standard, going above and beyond to ensure I was happy. Hence I have booked a quote for Track Shutters for my Patio Doors. I highly recommend the company and it's team.

Firstly I would not recommend this company to anyone.
We wanted shutters and their website says they fit from 4/8 weeks as the shutters are made in the UK. Reality is 12 weeks with two cancellations.
After the second cancellation I left a message with Karl their installation manager to call me, but no call came.
The day came and the fitter turned up, he constructed one of the frames in another room and I offered to help him carry it as it was quite big into the bedroom where it was to be fitted but he wanted to do it on his own and subsequently scratched the paintwork on the recently painted window sill, no apology. The frame was screwed to the window sides but as it was quite big needed a third screw in the middle, but no he only put two in with a resultant large gap in the middle. He said he would fill it with caulk, which he did. If you like things to look right then don’t look at ours.
Overall the company are pretty bad, communication is poor, they have lost the plot when it comes to dealing with customers, they are more interested in how many customers they can get rather than giving you a quality job from start to finish.
Pretty poor really.

Addendum to first review.

Subsequent to my first review above, I was contacted by Karl, the Installation manager, who came to see us the same day to discuss my review and their dealings with me.
Karl was in hospital when the second letter of cancellation was sent by his colleagues in his name, so he had no knowledge of my angry call to his company to find out why they cancelled a second time.
He explained the reasons to my face which nobody did while he was absent.
He said he would deal with that aspect when he returned to the office.
He also offered to rectify the issues we had with the fitting process almost immediately.
A very passionate man, who I believe will address these issues within his company.
So thank you Karl, you are a credit to your company

Delighted with our newly fitted shutters, curtains and blinds. Time taken to guide us to products available. Lead time delivered. The installation was done very professionally by Dan. The finish was excellent and product lived up to our expectation. I thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

In February I had a set of 4 roman blinds in one room, based on the quality of the service and the product I then used Vale again to place new blinds in my cinema room.

This took a little doing and some fine-tuning to make the room truly 'blacked out' but their focus and customer support is quite simply brilliant - and I cannot recommend them enough, thanks, especially to Karl for going the extra mile.

Since then I have had another set of blinds from Vale which were fitted today in my office and they look fantastic.

After being messed about on so many levels for nearly a year by a major UK retailer of window shutters we decided to look more locally. Vale Curtains & Blinds were recommended by a neighbour, so we had our windows measured in early July 2022, and by September they were fitted.

The shutters are of exceptional quality and are made in the UK, which reduces the ridiculous lead-times offered by other suppliers. They fit perfectly in our living room and upstairs bedroom and create a lovely atmosphere through being able to control the light in in the rooms. The price of the shutters was also not dissimilar to those of the original suppliers.

Most importantly, the staff are also lovely, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond. A huge thanks to Tanya and Karl who provided us with great customer service in advising and measuring correctly. And in particular to Spiros who is clearly very patient with an exceptional attention to detail taken to make our shutters fit perfectly.

We are very happy, and would highly recommend Vale to anyone looking for blinds, curtains or shutters.

I am very impressed with the service I have received from Valecurtainsandblinds. Following a house move, I ordered curtains and blinds for all the windows in my home. Communication from the company was excellent throughout the process and I have been very happy with the quality of the products that were fitted a short while ago. Today a fitter returned (again very punctual) to sort out a couple of issues with my curtains and he did this brilliantly. I have often felt frustrated with the aftercare service provided by some firms, but Vale made it clear they wanted to ensure I was fully satisfied. I would recommend this company to all those who are considering new curtains and blinds.

We had Vale come and fit some roller blinds after having a lovely ventitian blind put in the living room. There was some frustration regarding the booking times for my appointment.
When booking I booked for 8.30am I then had to chase the appointment on the 6th of September and was told it would 10.45 am I OK with this ?? I agreed I just needed to know what time to book off work. The Fitter then turned up at 9.50am ... luckily my son was home as otherwise I would of lost my visit as he was early . I know communication is not always possible but it only takes a min to ring through out of curtesy.
I have just phoned up to pay my balance and not once did the lady ask if I'm happy with service, everything go OK etc.. I did send an email but no reply as yet!
The quality of the blinds are not what I imagined the material looks cheap for the price your paying , they serve a purpose for now but not overly impressed . Service from Fitter couldn't fault him very polite and professional.

It is now 3 months since we had shutters on two bay windows of our bungalow supplied and fitted by Vale Curtains and Blinds, at Radley Rd Ind Estate. We could not be more pleased with the service and shutters supplied. Everything from initial survey and quote to ordering and fitting went very smoothly. We did not realise just how good shutters were, always having curtains. They keep the room warm in the winter and stop a lot of the heat in this hot weather. It is nice to be able to stop the sun shining through different window panes as it moves round. One thing I would mention. Because of the height of our windows the mechanism had to be split into two for each pane of glass. We had the top third louvers of each pane closing together and the bottom two thirds opening or closing together. But now find it difficult to reach the tops to work them now we have dressers in the bays. On hindsight 50 x 50 split would have been a lot better. But that was our choice. I would certainly recommend this company for shutters.
