I bought two boxes from (admittedly) a very expensive shop. They have reduced one of the boxes by 50% but I paid £12 for the other. The quality of the chocolate simply isn't good enough for the money. It's a shame because they seem to be trying to do something positive (I don't want palm trees to be cut down for chocolate) but the quality needs to be higher. The chocolate, whilst quite tasty, does not melt at the correct temperature i.e. in the mouth, which is the sign of a good chocolate. So instead of being able to let it melt away satisfyingly, it has to be chewed and just ends up being a lumpy cold mess in the mouth. It has a rich taste to it, so it's probably made very ethically with as little processing as possible but most people will ignore that and just be disappointed with the overall experience. If the manufacturers could alter the consistency, this would be a better chocolate. Perhaps they could try and match Lindt chocolate and put themselves in the same bracket? More advertising about their ethical practice would help, I wasn't aware of this before reading response to reviews here. This was going to be a one star review until I understood what one of the problems might be. People will pay more for ethical chocolate because obviously there will be a higher cost. Another suggestion : have a fun box of orangutan chocolates to highlight the creatures you are trying to save?

Presso il negozio Venchi del outlet di Settimo Torinese,acquisto mediante APP too good to go 2 bag da 12€ cad, totale 14 tavolette di cioccolato di cui 3 con regolare scatola ma con data scadenza tra 2 giorni e le restanti 11 senza scatola pertanto non era possibile rilevare la data di scadenza, roba da denunciare ai NAS e farli chiudere a seduta stante.
Contatto l'ufficio qualità della Venchi spiego il tutto e mi chiedono di inviare mail con documentazione fotografica. Invio subito la mail alla. Sig.na Deborah.
Passano 10 giorni nessun riscontro, richiamo e mi dicono che mi avrebbero fatto contattare dalla responsabile dei punti vendita, avete sentito voi qualcuno?
A questo punto mi reco personalmente nel citato negozio ed espongo i fatti ad una signorina che non si è nemmeno.presentata come titolata a prendere decisioni.
Tenta di arrampicarsi sui vetri dicendomi..... É normale.che.mediante l'acquisto con la App forniamo cioccolato prossimo alla scadenza... prossimo vuol dire 2 giorni? e le altre 11 senza scatole.pertanto senza data di scadenza? Mi risponde che le scatole si erano rotte.
La signorina anziché scusarsi con il cliente dell'accaduto tutta stizzita mi sostituisce le. Tavolette senza scatole ma le altre 3 che sarebbero scadute tra 2 giorni non. le ha volute sostituire.
Concludendo sicuramente la Venchi è in brutte mani, pessima attenzione al Cliente, personale per niente qualificato e non penso che questa azienda abbia bisogno di spacciare cioccolato a 2 giorni dalla scadenza o addirittura senza scatola.

ci dispiace leggere la sua recensione.
il suo caso è già in gestione dai colleghi del negozio di Settimo Torinese che l'hanno contattata per offrirle una sostituzione.
Approfittiamo per chiarire che Too Good To Go dà la possibilità di acquistare/vendere prodotti fino al giorno stesso della loro scadenza. Nel caso delle tavolette la data che vede è un "Termine minimo di conservazione", che significa che i prodotti potrebbero presentare delle condizioni qualitative leggermente alterate ma il prodotto resta consumabile. Per questo motivo le tavolette che ha ricevuto risultano conformi.
Restiamo a disposizione e le auguriamo una buona giornata

Le nostre porzioni sono in linea con l'offerta del mercato: il nostro gelato Piccolo ha un peso medio di 120g, fino ad arrivare al Grande con un peso medio di 200g.
Per noi, garantire una qualità e un gusto ottimale è prioritario. Il nostro gelato è prodotto fresco ogni giorno nei nostri laboratori, senza aromi, emulsionanti né coloranti. E' proprio la qualità dei nostri ingredienti che determina infatti l'aspetto del nostro gelato: meno gonfio e voluminoso di quanto possiamo essere abituati a trovare ma qualitativo, avendo meno aria al suo interno.

wow i should have read these reviews before purchasing online! what awful customer service. thank god i counted the pieces (i ordered a big order). there were missing pieces from 2 of the bags. i e-mailed them to see how they can make this right. what a JOKE. i am the paying customer paying for their expensive product and they basically just say sucks but oh well? disputing it with my bank! this was their response:
"Thank you for choosing Venchi and contacting USA Customer Care. We would like to let you know that most of our Venchi products are made and assemble in Italy. Venchi Italy ships the products directly to our warehouse in New Jersey. Our Venchi Pick & Mix bags are manually assembled in our warehouse. Neither process is perfect. Thank you for your understanding. Enjoy, and please visit our website again soon!"

Ho assaggiato il loro gelato a Firenze, avrei voluto un banalissimo cioccolato al latte e panna montata, non esisteva come gusto e non c’era la panna… il gelato sembrava più una granita, zero cremositá si è sciolto in due secondi e siamo a Novembre… una gelateria che non ha la panna montata non l’ho mai trovata… gelato carissimo, un’offesa anche chiamarlo gelato. Che vergogna.

Not worth the money.I saw a huge line and wanted to try the ice cream. I had better in a local corner ice cream shop. The tiramisu had no “alcohol” or coffee flavour. The chocolate with orange, had no orange. My wife had a pistachio that tasted like burned pistachio. Avoid.

In addition, we do not use monodiglycerides of fatty acids or carrageenan—ingredients widely used in other artisan gelatos—to process our gelato.

Venchi will not ship my order. (Eventually resolved)
Venchi will not ship my order.
I paid for chocolate from their website and finished an order just like any online transaction. I soon received an email that Venchi had shipped my order, but the order tracking showed no activity at all as UPS seems to have never received the package in the first place. I contacted support multiple times but have received no reply. It feels like the company has ghosted me and I am unsure how I am supposed to proceed. The items are weeks late at this point and I will have to consider a credit card dispute if I continue to receive no word from Venchi's side.
UPDATE: Following this review Venchi did reach out to me promising to make things right and resend my package. They have since provided me with no tracking code for the new package and have not responded to any of my follow up emails asking for more information. I was and remain willing to change my rating if my order is fixed but the chances seem low. At the moment I will caution against trusting this company with your money.
FINAL UPDATE: The process was extremely rough but ultimately Venchi did deliver me a replacement shipment. While I can't say I'm happy with the whole process I am willing to end this saga and move on. I hope the process will improve in the future and will leave another review if I order from here again.

Consegna con prodotto difettoso...rimborsata
Il giorno 28 agosto ricevo la consegna di quanto ordinato: tutti gli articoli sono purtroppo rovinati (cioccolato sciolto). Il 29 agosto, come richiesto dal customer care provvedo a inviare una mail con documentazione fotografica del tutto. A seguito della mail oggi 6 settembre ho ricevuto il rimborso totale.
