Great product
The item itself was just what I needed and came well packaged at a decent enough price. Unfortunately it was delivered to the wrong address and the person they did deliver it too put it halfway in my letterbox so it could have been stolen as live on a main road. Luckily it wasn't but a bit annoying.
Not used the item as of yet but I definitely feel you'll need to be really close to someone to use it which I suppose is its point. Its small enough to keep in bags and pockets at all times; does smell a little but it goes away after a while.

Instead of dispatching your order on the system the sales person clicked the refund field and an email was automatically sent to you stating that your order had been cancelled/refunded when in fact it had been dispatched and will be delivered to you later today. While the system record was corrected we failed to contact you directly to explain the mistake and for this I am sorry.

A small and effective protection spray, useful for a person to carry, and used if attacked, well worth the money.

Not sure how 'jog resistance' product is, but I store in a cool place and in an upright position. ;)

Great idea for dog walkers

First of all the delivery time was absolutely incredible! Very speedy, thanks so much.
I wanted to do a test spray to see what it was like so sprayed the tiniest amount in my kitchen sink.... which if I’m being honest was a silly thing to do as it absolutely STINKS 😷🙈 and stunk the whole house out! Lol
So I’ve no doubt in my mind that if I should ever need to use it out walking it will prove very effective!
Feel much safer knowing I have this on me should I ever need to use it..
definitely recommend.

Hi Leila,
Thank you for the feedback although rookie error spraying a deterrent spray in your kitchen.
I hope by now the smell has dissipated but just in case you can place half a lemon in a bowl of water and heat it in the microwave. Once heated up leave the microwave door open to help eliminate any odours. For the can itself you can use acetone such as nail varnish remover to wipe down the can and the nozzle. This should ensure any residual spray does not dry and clog the nozzle.

Thank you for your feedback. We always wipe the cans down with acetone wipes to remove the odours that can occur as part of the manufacturing process. If the smell persists give the can a wipe using some acetone such as nail varnish remover.
A handy size for a coat pocket
A handy size for a coat pocket. I tried one outside and can confirm it STINKS!
I like the nozzle design that means once tested / used, the safety lever means it could be used again if required. Not had to use it against any baddies thankfully, but the way it's going outside these days, it's good to be prepared.

I paid for Express delivery for my item…
I paid for Express delivery for my item to be delivered which cost £7.50 and should of been delivered 1 to 2 working days it actually took 6 weeks to be delivered I contacted vestguard by e-mail to chase my order up after just over a week in which I did get a prompt reply telling me that there was a high demand for my item and it was going to take up to 6 weeks I wasn't very happy because I did pay for Express delivery and was told that it wasn't there fault and that I wouldn't be refunded so if I didn't want the item that they would cancel my order. I did still want the item but did stress that there shouldn't be the option of Express delivery on the website or at least people should be refunded if the item isn't going to reach the customer within the time limit in which they pay for

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that you were disappointed with us on this occasion. I have checked your order details and can see that the order took 21 days to get to you (order placed 11 March and delivered on the 1st April).
We understand your frustration especially as you had paid for an express delivery service. As you mentioned, we explained to you, that due to exceptionally high order volumes, we had a back log of orders to fulfil and at this point we offered you the option to cancel your order for a full refund or if you were prepared to bear with us, we would fulfil your order as quickly as possible. We further explained that we are unable to waive the shipping costs as, once the goods were in stock, VestGuard would dispatch them and would still incurs the costs of the shipping service from DPD. You chose, at that time, to wait for stock.
We clearly state, on the website, that our delivery aims are dependant on stock levels https://www.vestguard.co.uk/vestguard-delivery.html.
Once we had replenished the stock levels, your order was dispatched on a next working day priority service.
Once again, we are sorry that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We have increased our stock levels and negotiated a 4-5 day delivery option for those looking for a more cost effective shipping option. Unfortunately, Royal Mail prohibits the sending of such items via standard post and so we are limited to shipping options at this time.
I hope our explanation and the steps we have taken will go some way to restoring your faith in our services.

Product smells too strong for handbag, customer experience no better
As much as the product seems okay at the moment, I'm not overenamoured with Vestguard hence deciding to write this review about being asked 4 times to write a review, always with a message I won't be asked to write the review again.
Our order was delayed by a month due to the popularity of the products as a result of the recent increase in crimes as well as the horrific murder in Clapham.
As much as we were prepared to wait, I was also annoyed that we had to choose expensive dpd delivery rather than standard signed for by Royal Mail. I therefore decided to ask for the postage being refunded as a good will gesture. The fairly abrupt reply came that they couldn't refund the courier because it was a cost!! Frankly I thought this was a daft excuse. Of course it's a cost but if products are doing so well they are out of stock, I suspect profits would be up and so whats the harm in passing on some of that profit to your customers.
Would I recommend Vestguard? Edited to No from I don't know. Customer experience could be a whole lot better and for me that's an important part of the buying process.
Eta based on your reply, I'm not daft and appreciate orders will always be subject to stock availability. It is a bit misleading to continue to sell something for a few weeks though without any mention on the product page the goods are out of stock at the moment though.

But yet you didn't provide a refund to me even though you failed to deliver a good level of service. And didn't respond to the fact I was told you can't refund delivery because its a cost which is a really odd thing to say.

Glad you informed customers at some point. It was definitely after my order was placed. Shame you don't care more about passing on your extra popularity and profits to your customers.
Edit a few months on and we have been unable to put the EveAid in any bag or take it with us on public transport as the smell before it's even sprayed is too strong. Don't buy this product if you need something social.
I also discovered that from a legal point of view it's better to carry a defence item you already use in real life so now I'm carrying a small bottle of hairspray which is not only cheaper but less likely to get me in trouble with the police! (and doesn't smell bad)

We are always happy to refund costs when we have failed to deliver the service a customer has paid for. We clearly state on the website that delivery aims are dependent on stock levels and, therefore, on this occasion we offered you the option to cancel your order for a full refund or, if you were happy to bear with us, to wait until stock was replenished where your order would be shipped to you on an express service.
We have since increased our stock levels of EveAid sprays and introduced a cheaper 4-5 day delivery option enabling us to lower the overall cost of the sprays per unit to all customers.
Once again, we are very grateful for your feedback, which enables us to improve our products and service to all VestGuard customers in the future.
The website was updated with a message about stock levels for the EveAid sprays and a date by which all outstanding orders would be fulfilled. We exceeded this target and normal delivery services have resumed.

We offered you the option to cancel your order for a full refund, you chose to continue with the order. With regard to refunding delivery charges we can and do refund these charges where delivery has failed i.e. the goods are dispatched but get lost, damaged or delayed. We do not refund shipping costs for items out of stock but do offer a full refund if a customer requests us to cancel their order due to items being out of stock.

It is a sign of the times that I felt…
It is a sign of the times that I felt it necessary to protect both my wife and our new rescue dog, as well as my Land Rover. What made this easier was the discovery of the EVEAID product on VestGuard's well laid out website. The fact that these were on an attractive special offer made the experience even more pleasurable.
I was impressed when I was emailed by VestGuard to tell me that demand had been so high that my delivery would be delayed. They informed me every step of the way.
I now have my three EVEAID sprays, even before the dog has arrived. I hope that neither my wife or I ever feel the need to use them, but we feel safer now that the opportunity is there.
