Went for a hen party there sandwiches came out found a hair in the sandwiches chefs not wearing hair nets

Bad experience! I was extremely disappointed by the way I was spoken too by the manager at the Newcastle branch. After my friend (the birthday guest) hadn’t received her meal after all of us had finished I said a joke in jest about offering a free dessert and the way the manager responded was appalling, she responded ‘don’t tell me what to do’ which I thought was utterly rude. It really is the least you could do. To follow up and make excuses was not professional. She did apologise in the end, but all in all very disappointed in the service, shame because I’ve dined her a lot of times and never had a bad experience.

Victors in Newcastle Upon Tyne If I could give no stars I would . Went there for a friend’s daughter’s 21st Birthday . The birthday girl had pre ordered lobster , apparently an email had been sent out in the week to say it wasn’t available but my friend hadn’t seen it or responded so was unaware of this . We were in the restaurant for almost an hour before food was served and no member of staff mentioned it , so all meals came out as pre ordered except the birthday girls.
She had to re order and her steak came out almost 30 mins after everyone had finished .
The way the manager dealt with it was very unprofessional, she was extremely rude towards a young member of the party .
The food was unimpressive too , the only good thing about it was the setting and decor .
We most certainly will never go back and I suggest the manager gets some training in customer service .

Very disappointing experience. We had pre-ordered our meals in advance, yet when everyone else's food was served, I was told that they had run out of the meal I had ordered. There was no warning beforehand, despite the order being placed in advance, and I was forced to choose something else on the spot.
To make matters worse, my replacement meal didn't arrive until everyone else had finished eating, leaving me sitting there while the rest of the table ate. The lack of organisation was frustrating enough, but what really ruined the experience was the manager's attitude. Rather than taking responsibility or offering a sincere apology, they were rude and dismissive.
Mistakes can happen, but poor customer service and a refusal to acknowledge the issue are unacceptable. Unfortunately, this experience has put me off returning. And it was my 21st birthday xx

Restaurant looks absolutely stunning...very photogenic... food on the other hand is very disappointing..
It looks pretty but its absolutely tasteless and overpriced.

Great people, great location and great food. Would definitely recommend, you will not be disappointed! Huge thanks to the team; the Victors legacy continues..x

Negatives.
The live music wasn’t played throughout the stay.
The food came out within a few minutes of ordering drinks.
The food came very quickly after ordering (maybe less than 10 minutes in). This was for two completely different dishes. One a seafood spaghetti and the other the half chicken roast.
The food was very disappointing, I had the seafood spaghetti and the fish was overcooked, the sauce had no flavour and it was lukewarm. I didn’t wish to make a fuss and complain when it was busy and other people were celebrating their special occasions, however I would have said something had the meal not been technically free with my £25 birthday voucher given by the restaurant.
I noticed much of the food coming out didn’t appear to be particularly hot.

I have been there many times but yesterday was my worst experience. I had made a reservation for my birthday and at the entrance I didn't mind i wasn't allowed the balloon with me but i did mind none of the girls said happy birthday ( was even written on the balloon!). Everything was so slow yesterday and on top of that people reminding you you have 30 min left, sorry you have 15 min left...out of the blue, like i didn't know how many minutes I had left! I felt really pressured! I remember them before being more caring and polite. On top of all these, despite the fact that on my booking reservation i had ticked the birthday discount and activated the code i was requested to pay all the bill. After i pointed it out they corrected it but why should I have to point it out was on dine with the booking!! Regarding the welcome "free" birthday drink if you saw it I saw it!!! Everything very poor yesterday. Like nobody cared and me and my friends felt like they were trying to kick us out! Personally, this was my last time there ever. The only thing that made us laugh and cheer was the waiter Alberto. Funny and polite. Done (Westgate, Oxford city centre)

Not sure if the pricing is the same across the whole group and perhaps this is a result of eating in the Alderley Edge restaurant but £18.30 for a glass of red wine ….. really!!!

I had the burger which came out the size of a Burger King small hamburger. It tasted ok but for £20 it was taking the piss.

Fabulous experience. Asked if it was a special occasion, went above and beyond with birthday wishes 🍾

Absolute rip off! Do not believe a single thing these liars post on social media! They advertised a 50% off deal if you signed up for their "exclusive club" I did and arrived at restaurant at assigned time. They sat us in the entirely wrong part of the restaurant, next to a family with kids blaring their screens out loud, by a young lady who quite frankly couldn't have given off more negative attitude if she tried. I asked if the 50%deal was correct to be told it wasn't for that day and I'd need to order from the special menu that wasn't on today. I only signed up to the club because of the explicit advert for a sharing tomahawk steak. If this isn't included in the deal then you shouldn't advertise it. Simple as.. absolute load of shite. The waitress was lovely and asked her boss who wasn't interested and sent the poor girl back with a tablet to show "the website". Clearly the head office run promotions and hoodwink customers into the restaurant without backing up their promises or informing their staff of what's going on. We walked out and will encourage everyone we speak to, to avoid this overpriced, shallow, vacuous company at all costs. Only interested in Instagram posts than customer satisfaction.

Visited twice, took long to serve food, was not busy at all. Food is mid for the price, not worth it. Interior is great tho!

Amazing bottomless brunch with our fantastic waiter Stevie. Food was great and drinks kept coming, we will certainly be back. 👍👍👍👍👍

I booked a table at 8:30 pm through open table, I came 10 minutes earlier but the staff refused to give me a table! Claiming that the kitchen closed at 8:00 pm and open table was mistaken to send me a confirmation in regard to my reservation! However, it was so obvious on google that the restaurant is open till 11 pm!
No respect at all to the customers!

First time for me! Visited this location to meet with my daughter and her fiancée. First impression was that the restaurant was cold and draughty. Initially we ordered drinks mine was a zero Beer, when our drinks arrived, I saw that my beer was a 5% alcohol beer ( I don’t drink and I was driving) for me this could have been serious as I have a heart condition! We ordered our food and when it arrived I felt that the crockery and it was stone cold. So subsequently the food was just tepid. I paid £19 for burger and fries and to be frank, I’ve had better at Franky and Benny’s! One thing I forgot to mention, when we initially sat down, our cutlery was stuck to the table! I don’t know what cleansers they use but the table needs to be dry before staff set the tables. I personally wouldn’t visit this restaurant again after spending £175:00 for lunch, I feel I have been robbed.

VICTORS Hale
We travelled over an hour to get to Victor's Hale as it was the
Lunch choice of the "Birthday Girl".
The service was OK, it wasn't busy, but we had to wait to order drinks.
I had the Steak Sandwich and chips. It looks so unappetising, with two smallish rounds of dry toast with a thin layer of beef inside, cut in half with sticks in to keep it together..... not required. And a hand full of fries in a container. There was absolutely no finesse in the presentation, not a lettuce leaf, not even a slice of cucumber! Not to spoil the day, I said nothing.
Another annoying thing is that we were charged for our 18mth old granddaughter's food. I found out that food was free for children Mon-Fri via an email sent by Victors after our visit. I checked on the website and it stated the same.
My daughter email them stating our findings - their answer...... nothing, we are still waiting months later!
Not impressed, so we won't be going again!

Victors Alderley - great staff, amazing food.

We booked an igloo on 19th October as two of us were celebrating 30th Birthdays however we got a call earlier in the day that our reservation that you were unable to accommodate the allergies request which I think was too short notice since we booked the table so far in advance. Luckily the person with allergy issues doesn't have a severe reaction and we chose items that didn't contain soy.

We were also told we could only have either vegetarian or meat option not 1 or the other even though there was 4 of us. As we had 2 vegetarians, we obviously all had opted to have this menu despite the amount of cheese listed on the menu as the other 2 don't like cheese!

The igloo wasn't ready until after 2.15 which is fine but we were still waiting for service at almost 2.50pm.

Our afternoon tea was served where we only received 3 out of the 4 listed sandwich options and when we mentioned that we missed 1 lot of sandwiches (Fig) we were presented with 1 single finger sandwich.
Our Hazelnut and chocolate cookie contained no chocolate or Hazelnut (these were scattered over a plate instead) and were rock hard and overcooked along with the overcooked scones.

We ordered our tea which was then served to us incorrectly and had to be remade.
There were several conversations happening around our igloo between staff that which made us feel very comfortable. We didn't pay service charge as we feel as a whole we didn't experience a great time especially as it was for birthday celebrations. We did tip a smaller cash tip to our main server as she knew there was issues but tried to help the best she can and was very apologetic.
The whole bill was £168 and just feel that it was an expensive experience.
