We recently purchased an SS712 hydrolux shower. It arrived in very good time. We chose the black shower as our new ensuite was mainly white. We had to speak to technical support a couple of times and they provided exemplary service throughout. When the shower was installed it looked stunning. It has three functions which are the normal shower head, the rain shower and the hydro jets. It is also really excellent value for money. Would highly recommend this product.

Item arrived a week before installation. Kontrast Lux shower unit. Checked for obvious damage i.e. glass. However the corner pieces were heavily packaged and should not have been damaged but was and found whilst installation. Reported to Vidalux who offered a £75 good will gesture (which I did not receive) complained to Vidalux that due to damage the door wouldn't close properly and that the glass roof fitting did not sit flush (again due to the damage whilst in transit). Vidalux response was to quote me for the new pieces that are damaged. Absolutely disgusting as the unit was £850. Wouldn't use or recommend this company. Not even the best instructions for installation either. Not worth £850 either. My advice shop somewhere else.

Hydro Plus 900 x 900 cabin
Packaging and delivery were very good, unpacking and inspecting components took three quarters of an hour.
If you use a McAlpine in line non-return valve, check the size of the flexi pipe supplied as the instructions recommend a McAlpine ST28M 40 to 32mm to fit the flexi to the waste – our flexi pipe was not the one the tech advisor thought had been supplied, but a larger, 40mm one, this does not need an ST28M, a standard T29M 40 to 40mm straight connector will do the job. The passive aggressive rep that we emailed, Ryan, insisted that they were basically the same thing and ‘a qualified plumber would know the difference’. Even though I pointed out that standard UK bathroom waste is 40mm pipe yet the instructions recommend a 32mm fitting. The Hydro Plus is advertised as D.I.Y. assembly.
Following instructions you’ll find that the recommendations for using sealant are very confusing, as was the technical advice regarding this, still not sure where there should be sealant. No-one seemed to know exactly where to put sealant. At one point we were instructed to follow the lines indicated in red – the instructions are in black and white. Finding online instructions remedied this.
The instructions say to put a thick bead of sealant between the sides and column where they mate – don’t do this as the screws supplied will then be too short! Use a thin bead of sealant and the screws will just reach if you’re lucky.
Screws supplied are cheap and soft with heads that strip easily, maybe replace some with higher quality, longer ones, for the sides to column fixing.
Make sure you check the earth lead for the transformer, this was not connected. Again confusing as the tech said fit it beneath a convenient screw, yet Ryan in an email said that it was not commonly connected on this model. Then said it could not be fitted at source because it’s a flat pack item. Well, if they can screw all the other components in, why not the earth cable? Still not sure whether it should be fitted or not. Again there are no instructions for this.
Vidalux advertise this cabin as flush fitting, the side flanges extend 3cm but the 90 degree angle of the shower flexible hose extends 6cm, so the shower cabin will sit 3cm from your bathroom wall. Vidalux supplied a narrower 90 degree elbow, which had to be attached to the hose. This is still not shallow enough though, fortunately we had a plasterboard wall and were able to cut a piece out to accommodate the depth of the elbow pipe end.
The standard hand shower flexible hose attaches to the outlet valve and then hangs in a ‘U’ shape, which badly bends it at the joint with the valve outlet. Poor design. The hose was badly kinked and would have led to early failure. This was partly solved by Vidalux sending us the new hose and an extra 90 degree elbow to attach ourselves. So by putting an elbow both ends, the hose is no longer under any stress. Surely someone would have spotted this flaw already?
If they don’t amend this, you should buy an elbow and do it yourself.
The flow adjustment knob is loose and won’t tighten up, turns out the tightening screw threads itself into the little round spigot when trying to tighten it up. Because there is no flat section on the spline the knob fits on, to locate the screw securely, it is virtually impossible to stop it wobbling and potentially coming of repeatedly.
The temperature knob sits flush with the column but the other two don’t, there’s a big gap between them and the column. No doubt there’s a technical reason but it escapes me.
The bottom bar on the shelf did not line up with the holes in the glass, I could bend the bar possibly, but this would put the screws in at an angle and run the risk of breaking the glass. Ryan from Vidalux assured us, after looking at the picture, that this looked within tolerances and was yet again not a manufacturing defect. He advised ‘if you insist, we’ll send you another shelf’! If you insist! Not patronising or belittling at all.
Tech support is easily contacted but are not always sure on answers. The Hydro Plus is a very clean and respectable looking unit and we would buy again knowing the problems that are mainly the instructions supplied. If you email them you’ll get somewhat superior and mildly passive aggressive replies from Ryan, constant denials of any fault with manufacture and you’ll be made to feel a little thick! So if Vidalux correct the instructions regarding the waste, sealant and earth lead, fix the cheap screws, poor flow control knob attachment and hand shower hose, great! Buy one! I would then give a 5 star review!
This review is meant to assist people buying this unit to avoid the problems we had and avoid a week long assembly.
No doubt someone will have some smart replies though.

I purchased my Vidalux shower steam cabinet around the latter part of 2024, no problem assembling, about a year later I noticed flaking on the chrome valve covers and blistering around the valves connecting to silver side panels, I got in touch with customer support and their reply (Our models are constructed using high-quality materials, including metal columns, and instances of corrosion are extremely rare. In most cases where corrosion occurs, it is linked to external factors, such as the use of certain cleaning products that contain oils, chemicals, or other reactive agents.
While our cleaning guidelines recommend using non-abrasive solutions, some products — even those marketed as suitable for acrylic, chrome, and glass — may still contain compounds that can affect finishes over time, particularly around fittings and controls.)
1) there are no metal panels on the cabinet.
2) instructions informed me to clean the cabinet with
any suitable cleaning solution that is not abrasive and is recommended by the manufacture (I used Purdy & Fig bathroom cleaner, non abrasive and no chemicals)
3)I did not expect the deterioration and chrome flaking after only one year.
As I pointed out to Vidalux this is very poor quality control, the units may be assembled in UK but the parts are sourced else where, as I have noticed on there Web site that they do stock for sale replacement valve covers, if quality control was good why do you need replacements after a year.
With the poor support from Vidalux I decided to scrap the shower and cabinet but while doing this I removed the valve covers from the shower panels to discover that the valves had been tightened up so much they damaged the paint on the panel therefore allowing an Ingres of water into the already damaged areas.
I informed Vidalux with photos a week ago but so far I have had no reply.
Final result, POOR QUALITY CONTROL AND VERY POOR CUSTOMER SUPP0RT.

We are thrilled with our Premier 3 person sauna. It's beautifully made and looks fantastic! All the extra features are so well thought out - the LED lights, bluetooth, even a little drinks shelf! Also, being able to change the heat levels is such a great feature so I can sit in it much longer than a traditional steam sauna. I would wholly recommend this sauna!

Ease of doing business and regular communication

I have never dealt with a company so helpful and honest before, they helped me through all the little niggles I had and had so much patience with me, they came on the day and times I was told. I cannot praise this company enough THANK YOU VIDALUX

Customer services were really helpful and easy to get hold of. The shower and Jets are fantastic. Would recommend!!

The Vidalux 2-person full spectrum infrared sauna has become a genuine part of my daily routine. Customer service before purchase was excellent, patient with questions and really helpful in pointing me in the right direction.

Assembly was simpler than expected, the video guides on their website are clear and take the guesswork out of it completely. I use it for 30 minutes every day and the Bluetooth speakers are a great touch, perfect for a podcast while you're getting the health benefits.

I’ve had the Vidalux Solora 2-Person Sauna for a few months now, and it has been an incredible addition to my home. Here is why I absolutely love it:
Super Fast Heating & Low Running Costs: It gets seriously hot, surprisingly quickly. Even better, it costs very little to run, so I can enjoy it regularly without worrying about the electric bill.

Bought a sauna on Costco web site.Vidalux offered me all day delivery. I contacted back explained I can not afford to take day off for delivery and offered to accept and sign delivery after 14.00 pm which is in my opinion fair enough. But in return I was offered to cancel the order as they not provided such services. All communication was careless regarding to sort it.Just keep in mind. If you buy anything from Vidalux,add one day off wages to the price.

I wanted to wait for a couple of weeks before reviewing to assess the product. As I'd only ever used traditional saunas, infrared wasn't my first choice but not being able to hardwire, it was plug and play or nothing.

Having set the temperature to 55'c, I didn't expect to feel the heat. I was wrong. Allowing the sauna to warm for 20 minutes before entering brings a good sweat. I am more than pleased and would gladly recommend.

I put the sauna together myself without much huffing and puffing. The only tricky fit was the front door, which was the heaviest panel. It was well padded, with a lot of packaging. Be prepared to get rid of acres of cardboard and two pallets!

Very disappointed with the Push shower cabin Kontrast 900 from Vidalux.

The installation took far longer than advertised and became frustrating very quickly. Several screws did not fit properly, some holes appeared poorly aligned, and overall assembly quality was nowhere near what I expected for a product at this price point.

The panels also scratch extremely easily, meaning the unit already started looking worn during installation despite being handled carefully. The overall build quality feels cheap and poorly finished rather than premium.

On top of the product issues, customer support and after-sales experience were also disappointing.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shower cabin to others looking for a high-quality product or a straightforward installation process.

We ordered a two person sauna and thought the price was surprisingly reasonable, the guarantee reassured us as well as the good reviews. It arrived well-packaged. It requires two people to move the parts and assemble but it is not complicated. We had two issues with the sauna. These were dealt with very quickly and helpfully and everything is now running well. Heat-up time is quick. It draws very little electricity and the unit looks good. For a stretch out a 3 person unit might be better but a two person is ok for sitting with your knees up. We will look at this company again for other bathroom fitments.

Great sauna, delivery was really good and very swift customer service when queries were raised.
I like the ease of use and internal lighting with the remotes.
The Bluetooth speakers make the experience much better.
Also the dimmer switch works really well to adjust the back heat.

Fantastic product, at a very competitive price and by a company whose communication and service was second to none.
