Have just received my 3rd box and so far, I’m very impressed with the wines and the service. There is no obligation to keep buying and no hard sell. (Though I have to say, there are plenty of tempting offers to be had.) I’ve really enjoyed all the wines and it’s a nice touch to have the tasting notes. The free delivery service is also first rate.

The company has extremely poor customer service and a total lack of communication - I strongly recommend avoiding it.

I will provide an example to justify my opening paragraph.

On 31 Jul 26, I was contacted by a so called wine advisor to encourage me to buy a case of wine - which I did. Notably, a few hours before Virgin Wines sent an email highlighting that any wine selection over £100 would be gifted three free bottles of wine. This was not discussed in the call, provided, or honoured.

This is when the actual issue started. On 31 Jul 26, I sent an email to the wine advisor and the Virgin Wines help email address (emails are not permitted in reviews). I received an automated response highlighting I would receive a response within one working day. At the time of writing (7 Aug 26), I have still not received any reply or engagement on the issue.

Growing increasingly displeased with the lack of communication, I emailed the help team again on 4 Aug 26. I asked for engagement and to cancel my account due to the poor treatment I had received. Once again I received an automated response but they have not replied, engaged or cancelled my account as requested in writing in the email.

Do not use this company their customer service is poor and they fail to engage with customers, to address concerns or most importantly, cancel if requested.

I attempted to reply to a request for a trustpilot review directly from Virgin Wines. Oddly it failed to submit every time, but the site allowed me to submit without issue when used directly.

Very poor communication from Virgin Wine and they make it extremely difficult to raise concerns, complaints, or cancel. I would strongly advise people to avoid this company at all costs.

To provide an example, on 31 Jul 26, one of their so called wine advisors rang me directly to discuss ordering wine. However, hours before this the company sent an email highlighting that three free bottles of wine would be provided on all cases over the£100. This was not honoured or discussed.

Then the real issue began. On 31 Jul 26, I emailed their help team and the wine advisor directly to seek clarification on the offer, and clarify why I was not in provided with it. I received an automated reply stating they would reply within one working day, still nothing and no replies at the time of writing (7 Aug 26).

I was very disappointed with the lack of engagement, so on 4 Aug 26, I sent another email asking for clarification and to cancel my account due to the extremely poor customer service, once again I received an automated response, but at time of writing I have still heard nothing.

Notably I have received separate emails from the wine advisor and Virgin Wines about various promotion's during this time, but no one has addressed any of my emails, engaged with the subject or contacted me, or honoured my cancellation request.

I cannot discourage engagement strongly enough

Whenever there is an issue . Customer service is always quick to resolve it.

Virgin wines is absolutely amazing the service is great
But the delivery is not so good, they left our wine at the top of 36 steps
After l has stated leave in porch
You can drive down to our house
Hopefully this is a one off
We have been with Virgin Wines over20 years.and now we are pensioners so we find it easy to drink the wine but not carry it😄😄

Interesting wines and very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

A good everyday wine purchase at a great price partly because we order three cases at a time which gets a good deal. Worth doing for the best prices for a great wine

Service is poorly run.
Deliveries are left out in the open where it's easy for the, to get stolen.
Multiple deliveries were left out in the rain and the box collapsed.
There is no mechanism to cancel the subscription or change your order online. You instead have to email them.
I skipped an order online and contacted them to cancel. I also removed my card from the website so they couldn't keep billing me for their shambolic service.
Today I had a parcel of wine show up on my doorstep and they'd charged my account.

Don't use them, expected a better service.

Excellent service. Wines almost always delivered next day.

Always good advice and variety of wine.
Quick delivery

This is a superb wine company, The wines are well priced plus there are always promotions available with the added bonus of a free prompt delivery service.

I'm always kept informed about good offers, but never pressured into buying. We don't drink a lot of wine so we're not buying every month, but it's so good to be able to buy lovely wine at a reasonable price. The service is efficient and prompt too, so thank you!
