Many thanks to Dave and the team for…
Many thanks to Dave and the team for your help and advice on my recent order for a set of Fox alloys with tyres for my Mini. After spending nearly £1,400 on 7 tyres and 3 cracked wheels on 19” JCW wheels I decided to drop to 18” and regular tyres as opposed to run flats. I bought the tyre pressure valves and it was as easy as swopping the wheels over and re setting the tyre pressure monitor on the car whilst driving-exactly as Dave had advised! The ride is smoother and quieter and there is a better choice of replacement tyres at half the cost of run flats at the budget end. Many thanks to Wheelbase for great customer service!

Dear CMH,
Thank you for such a fantastic and detailed review!
We're delighted to hear that Dave and the team were able to provide the advice and support you needed when choosing your new Fox alloys and tyres for your Mini. It's great to know that dropping from 19" JCW wheels to 18" wheels with regular tyres has made such a noticeable difference to the ride, with a smoother and quieter drive.
We're also really pleased that the TPMS valves and setup worked exactly as Dave had advised, making the changeover nice and straightforward.
We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to Dave and the team. Providing honest, knowledgeable advice and helping customers find the right solution for their vehicle is something we're very proud of.

Really disappointed with the way I've…
Really disappointed with the way I've been treated by Wheelbase following my order. I recieved my wheels and noticed that the centre caps were wrong (huge bulky chrome things on a black wheel). I then noticed that a number of the little plastic nuts and bolts on the mock split rims on my wheels were loose or missing. Not a good start. I got in touch with Wheelbase and all seemed positive and I was promised replacement parts immediately. After not recieving anything, I chased this up again and upon hearing back from Wheelbase, I was told the centre caps were not in stock and to wait 2-3 weeks. (No mention of the replacement nuts and bolts). They were quick to blame the suppliers for all of this when I expressed my dissatisfaction which I was quick to remind them that this was not my issue. I, in good faith parted with nearly £1500 for substandard, incorrect parts. If Wheelbase are selling these products, it is on them to conduct some sort of quality control. When I asked if I could recieve some sort of refund for my trouble, I was swiftly ignored. I have now sent 6 emails and received 3 blunt replies. I am not one for making a fuss but I expected more when forking out such a large amount of money.

Dear Craig,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. I'm genuinely sorry to hear about your experience following your order and the frustration this has caused.
I completely understand your disappointment at receiving the incorrect centre caps and finding that some of the mock split-rim nuts and bolts were loose or missing. After spending nearly £1,500, you were quite reasonably expecting the wheels and all associated components to arrive correctly supplied and in good order.
I'm also sorry that you had to chase us repeatedly for the replacement parts and that you were not kept properly informed about the outstanding nuts and bolts. While supplier availability can affect replacement timescales, I appreciate that this should have been communicated more clearly and does not make the experience any less frustrating for you.
I'm particularly concerned to hear that you felt your request regarding a refund was ignored and that the replies you received came across as blunt. That's not the level of customer service we aim to provide, and I would like the opportunity to review the handling of your order and communication personally.
Please contact me directly at Russell.Daniel@Wheelbasealloys.com with your order details so I can look into this with the team and establish what has happened with the outstanding parts and your previous correspondence.
I'm sorry again that we have fallen short of your expectations. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and would welcome the opportunity to address your concerns properly.
Kind regards,
Russell
