Excellent! Both my kids came back saying how much fun they had had in the 1 hour driving session. They loved it and want to do it again. Instructors were very kind, polite and helpful and really built up confidence. Excellent feedback after the session as well.

Utterly disappointed.

I booked this for my granddaughters 14th birthday. We paid for the in car camera recording.

The instructor was 7 minutes late and called out the wrong number. Had we not been attentive to his error we would have waited even longer. He then spent another 5 or so minutes on his phone in the car trying to locate the in car camera mount.

The lesson finished on the hour so as not to be late for the next child, we had around 15 minutes lost from our drive !

The car camera mount was not found and no recording took place. My granddaughters grandma couldn't make the journey due to poor health, this was one of the reasons we opted for the recording as well as being able to look back on the day in the future, capturing that first moment.

This was denied us due to really poor organisation. What should have been a happy day was soured by this lack of attention to detail.

I talked to one of the company reps at the end to explain what happened and I was told that she would take care of the £19 refund, which could take upto 7 days.

As I leave this review 11 days later, no refund has been given and no email apology for their lack of providing a service we requested.

So, if you have a complete lack of regard for your child's happiness, if you don't really care about the finer details, if you're nonchalant when it comes to companies not following up on their promises, then by all means book with these people.

If however, you do care, then book elsewhere.

My grandson has now had 6 of these experiences and he was buzzing after everyone he really liked Austin his instructor my grandson said he explained things very clearly how to do and why he loved all the lessons

Very well run and organised, my 10 year old Grandson really enjoyed it. Dave his instructor was very professional and put him at ease. I have booked more lessons and would highly recommend!

Excellent team of people, super friendly and professional. Both my boys have benefited from Young Driver sessions and have needed half the number of real driving lessons and both passed first time. A great experience and highly recommend!

It's not cheap but definitely worth the money for a first time driver.

We live in Switzerland and make a point of booking lessons here whenever we visit - this is an amazing offer for kids!

What a fantastic day, my son had a wonderful time and the instructor was patient and friendly

Instructor this time around was excellent. Booking staff and I assume event organiser/coordinator were far from it. Session this time around was delayed by a couple of hours as opposed to being cancelled as it was on our first booking. (Instructor illness is the standard line of communication for this). As we'd booked before it was a case of "thanks for turning up" thereafter they are only interested in getting you to book more sessions rather than focusing on the one you had booked! Good driving experience for my son, not a great experience overall.

Bought 2 £99:99 vouchers for Xmas 2024 for my eldest soon to be 17. Few dates available, but he did one just before turning 17 in June, didn’t enjoy it as he said the instructor was doing almost all the pedal work which was the primary reason for this experience - felt he was being kept up with flow as so many others using same course. He didn’t want to go back and passed his test in November. Thought we’d try again with the other voucher for my younger son but not being overly familiar with two vouchers we’d only seen once, on retrieval found you have to book within 9 months, which is very unusual as experience vouchers typically last for 2 years and pretty tight considering how few dates are available. Bought a full price experience voucher just so that we had something to give at Xmas and the £99:99 went into the till with no associated costs to the operation then cancelled which is unjustifiable - be wary!

We travelled for over an hour for my 11-year-old daughter to take part in the Young Driver fire engine experience she’d been given as a Christmas present. She had been so excited for months, so it was incredibly disappointing when we arrived and were told the fire engine wasn’t working.

I understand that mechanical issues can happen, but the way it was handled was really poor. The instructor was dismissive and showed no empathy at all, simply saying, “I can’t make it go,” with no apology or acknowledgement of how upset my daughter was.

She was offered a drive in a standard car instead, which we accepted so the trip wasn’t a complete waste. However, this wasn’t an equivalent experience — she has already driven one of your standard cars before, much closer to home. We made the long journey specifically for the fire engine experience, so the whole day felt like a huge letdown.

After her session, we spoke to the mechanic who said it looked like a charging issue and that he expected it to be fixed within about 20 minutes. We passed this on to the on-site manager, Dean, but he dismissed it outright, saying it would take all day to fix without even checking. His attitude was abrupt and unhelpful, and there was no effort made to see if the situation could be resolved.

Overall, a very disappointing experience, mainly due to poor customer service and lack of communication. I would not recommend based on this experience.

My son had his first lesson over at lakeside. My husband arrived early to get parked and have my son there and ready with plenty of time but had to move as the car park they were using was changed 10 minutes before the lesson was due to start which wasn’t ideal and was only notified by text message. We paid for the in car footage package and my son was given a memory card when checking in. However when entering the car for his lesson he had forgotten all about it with the excitement of the lesson and unfortunately the driving instructor did not mention it or ask for the memory card so the lesson was not recorded which was extremely disappointing as this was a birthday present and we wanted to see him and show the footage to family.
My son loved the lesson and came out beaming. He said his instructor was very nice and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My advice is to make sure your child gives the memory card over if you pay for the in car footage and not rely on the instructor and be prepared to change location last minute if using lakeside.
