It was fairly straightforward
It was fairly straightforward. Off course time will tell if it was a good decision but so far so good, It has put a roof over my head for less cost and even though it is a higher risk, the onus is on me to be a responsible tenant and not cause any damage to the property. Without this scheme I would still be trying to find a huge deposit and might have lost the chance at getting a nice place to live.

Avoid
Avoid, avoid, avoid. They are here to make money off you and what is better in the short term is an absolute nightmare down the road. By the way they form part of TDS (they confirmed this to me in written format) and so when they say they are referring your case to an independent company to make a final decision, they are essentially referring themselves to themselves. They also tried to report this as being defamatory - shows you what kind of company you are dealing with.

The correct outcome was achieved. Tenant was saying he was correct when he was not. Zero deposit looked at the situation and evaluated it. They dealt with it speedily. It was only rent that was owed. I am pleased and would recommend. Claim handler was informative.

We’re sorry to hear that the cost of your Zero Deposit was not what you were expecting. We understand how frustrating it would be to proceed believing that £139 was the total amount payable, only to later find that a further payment was required for your partner.
The cost of a Zero Deposit Guarantee is the equivalent to one weeks worth of rent, plus a set up fee of £59.99, which is typically the same cost as a holding deposit, payable to the letting agent.

If you are a landlord PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH!!
Apparently £330 of a £1500 deposit is justified for a tenant to leave an entire loft, garden and large shed FULL of rubbish and junk costing £500 clearance. She also admitted to soilingvand disposing of my mattress without permission costing a further £300. Plus a change of locks at £130 as I was only returned 1 key of 3.
This company is ALL about the tenant no matter how they are and they will fight landlords every step of the way to get any deposit back.
Please avoid
You only have to look at all the other landlord reviews which is sadlyvwishbi had done before!
**Edit** In reply to your comment. I would absolutely love to discuss my issues with you. However when you ignore my emails, it makes that difficult!
