Academics Reviews

Exceptional service from Emma and Kenan, within just six days of registering I have been offered a position within a school. I have never known any agency to be so welcoming and friendly, and would highly recommend to anyone looking to work in a school environment

My experience with Academics agency especialy Grace Connor who has been processing my application and details regarding the agencey through to get me the right work has been amazing from start to even now.
She has been very professional and has given care and support through out. This is my 1st time joining an agency and i could not recomend it more i have felt the support from Grace from the start and i appreciate the care she has shown to support me through this new chapter in my life i habe felt ease and comfort through it all

Excellent and professional service. Sarah, my contact, dealt with any issues immediately and was always responsive and friendly. Highly recommended

Sugesh really helped me find a school that worked out for me. Made sure i was always comfortable and answered lots of my questions

I’ve had a really positive experience working with Sugesh and Adam. They have been incredibly supportive, responsive, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. Communication has always been clear and timely, and I’ve consistently felt listened to and Valued. Sugesh and Adam go above and beyond to make sure you feel supported, not just placed, and their professionalism and kindness truly stand out. I’m very grateful for all their help and would highly recommend working with them.

What makes Academics a great agency is how responsive, kind and co operative they are. Particularly working with Sugesh has been a great pleasure, I was really struggling with employment and now thanks to all his help I have a full time role at a really wonderful school. He’s been very understanding, communicative and helpful.

My experience with academics is very good, as the agent I am working with is very helpful with all matters.

Sugesh has been an amazing agent , has always made sure I am happy with my job and always been supported

Excellent service, staff very friendly and polite and always helpful and available to answer questions.

I graduated this year and never had a full time position where DBS checks, National Insurance numbers, birth certificates and every other official document relating to my identity were involved until entering the world of education. Setting up your profile can take time if you’ve haven’t done something like this before like me! But, this company is genuinely always on the ball and on the other end of the phone to help and communicate really well all the steps. Sugesh from Academics who has been helping me the entire process has been super lovely and really helpful for me. Before each cover shift where I filled in for certain schools and before my trial shift at the current college I work at, he sent me information/ expectations about the school, spoke over the phone before and after the school day for check-ins and to ensure I was happy and comfortable. Sugesh didn’t make me feel pestered or pressured like other agencies I’ve worked with in the past and that’s what makes me appreciate him so much! He is patient and understanding. So albeit the initial vetting can be a little bit long, it’s all worth it in the end!

Sugesh has been particularly helpful during the process of finding a job post uni. He is very reliable, helpful and understanding, responding extremely promptly to messages which had made a real difference in my experience. I'd like to thank him for his hard work and dedication and would highly recommend him as a recruitment agent.

Every staff member is very professional, kind and hard-working. I have worked with Sugesh and Jane and they are brilliant. I also appreciate that the company adapts to the schedule of each individual and gives plenty of opportunities.

The entire process with Academics was very quick and smooth. Everything was handled promptly and efficiently.
Sugesh was especially helpful throughout, he supported me at every step and even after I got the job, he continued to check in to make sure everything was going well. He was always approachable, easy to contact, and quick to resolve any issues. Overall, a very positive experience.

Daniel Wheeler from Academics has been one of the best recruiters I’ve ever had, very consistent and reliable with communication and follow through. Would highly recommend him!

Exceptional service and role matching.
I have been working with Daniel all my supply teaching career and do not now work with any other recruiter.

Waited 6 months for the dbs. That lost me one job as the woman booked the start before the certificate wasnt even finished, then the summer holidays started and all contact stopped, no one bothered to reply, this is in september, still havent heard from them, now near the end of october. Go else where do waste your money on them.

Daniel is one of the best agents in London. He is helpful, and he always looks after his clients and Teachers. A real pleasure to work with him!

I can recommend this agency without a doubt, and it's especially pleasant to work with Daniel. Immediate placement based on your location, instant response if any issues arise, and a very understanding approach!

I was not sure what to expect, but once started the process to find a role in school teaching. I was guided and supported well by Sarah . She promptly guided me through all the unknowns and based on my needs , She listened and delivered on her promise. I feel safe and with a sense of belonging as If I am part of the team now , and I know will continue to work together for a long time. I recommend Sarah from Academics for a proactive engaging hiring experience.

I received a call from Luke to discuss potential teaching opportunities for September. I couldn’t talk at the time, so I said I’d call back. When I did, I asked to speak with Luke, but he was busy. A co-worker offered to help instead and immediately began firing questions at me in a condescending manner, which made me feel very uncomfortable.

I explained that most of these questions had already been discussed with Luke and asked to speak with him again. She said he would contact me soon, but during the conversation she also made an inappropriate comment, saying, “I’m all over the place.” I have no idea where that came from, but it felt rude and unprofessional.

Overall, I am very disappointed that potential clients are spoken to in such a dismissive and disrespectful way.
