Absolutely appalling delivery service – avoid

I honestly cannot believe how badly this delivery was handled.

I paid for a two-person delivery to the room of my choice. The bedroom was fully prepared and ready for the mattress. Despite this, the delivery team told us they had no instruction to take the king-size mattress upstairs and simply left it downstairs.

This left me and my pregnant wife having to move a heavy king-size mattress upstairs ourselves. In doing so, we both suffered cuts and bruising. This should never have happened. We paid for a delivery service specifically so we would not have to do this ourselves.

To make matters worse, the mattress was also marked and ripped during the whole ordeal.

When I contacted Sonno, I was directed towards the delivery company rather than having the issue properly resolved. I have provided photographs and correspondence documenting what happened, and the matter has now been escalated as a formal complaint.

The whole point of paying for a two-person delivery to the room of choice is that the customer should not be left struggling to move a king-size mattress themselves. The fact that this happened at all is unacceptable, and the fact that it resulted in injuries and damage to the mattress makes it even worse.

Absolutely dreadful service from start to finish. I would strongly recommend anyone ordering a large/heavy item to think twice about relying on this delivery company.

My experience has been nothing short of dangerous, careless and completely unacceptable.

I had no correspondence about my delivery until the morning of the delivery. The van was at the door before the notification was. It was lucky I was in. The driver also left the boxes in my door way which wasn’t ideal but I managed to move them.

The company first gave me a delivery date followed later by a time slot, the next morning I received a message saying my delivery would not be made and I would receive a message in the next 48 hours giving me a new date, so as there was not going to be a delivery I went out then, then with out prior notice they turned up at 7-15pm, so delivery arrangements made for next day late afternoon, and the best was i paid for express delivery
