The most amazing customer service. We ordered a medium and large sofa. On delivery day the large one wouldn’t fit through a door. A member of staff immediately contacted the sofa makers and advised that an arm could be removed to facilitate getting
It in. It was all done and delivered within 24 hours! Customer service you would not believe!

Absolutely discussed as service and food yesterday (sat 15th nov )....I bring my mum here every few weeks for lunch from snettisham. Yesterday we arrived 11.45 as we needed to be at a hospital appt 2 o'clock.Mum ordered quiche from specials ....and I ordered bacon..brie panini.The food didn't arrive at the table until 12.25 after me asking a waitress if order had been misplaced. The bacon was cold and unappetising... cheese not melted.Mums pastry was so hard she couldn't even cut it.She scooped the filling out and left pastry.The salad was not fresh and had something slimy in it.I called a waitress over when she passed our table as I was going to make her aware food wasn't good Omg she was so rude and said I'm busy and will come back soon .....she never returned ...her attitude was unacceptable and so was the food

AVOID THE FURNITURE INSURANCE!

I am writing this review specifically for prospective Aldiss customers who are considering purchasing the optional furniture protection plan, which is administered by the Castelan Group. My experience demonstrates that this policy is extremely poor value and provides no meaningful protection. My primary advice is: Save your money and DO NOT purchase this insurance.

The Facts (Why I Regret Buying This Policy):

Exorbitant Cost vs. Value: I paid £160 for a 5-year protection plan on a sofa costing £999. This excessive premium (over 16% of the sofa's price) suggests comprehensive peace of mind, but it delivers nothing of the sort. Aldiss should reconsider selling a product this disproportionately expensive and ineffective.

Claim DENIED After Four Years: After four years of owning the policy and never making a claim, I recently reported a scratch hole on the arm of the sofa, which was accidentally caused by my new cat. A Castelan technician visited, but the claim was subsequently rejected.

The Unfair Reason for Denial: The Castelan Group rejected the claim, stating the damage "has not occurred from a specific accidental event, as defined in the policy." This is where the insurance fails spectacularly.

The Failure: The Policy is Designed to Deny Pet Damage
This refusal is completely unfair and demonstrates how the policy uses hyper-technical language to avoid responsibility:

1) Unfair Technician Review: A cat scratch is a sudden, accidental event. Cats do not cause damage over time in a way that constitutes 'wear and tear'—they cause immediate, identifiable tears or rips. To claim this damage did not happen from a "specific accidental event" is a dishonest interpretation designed purely to invalidate a legitimate pet damage claim.

2) Misleading "Accidental Damage" Cover: If a single, accidental scratch by a cat is not covered, then what is the point of paying so much for an accidental damage policy? The terms are written to deny common household accidents that owners reasonably believe they are insuring against.

Final Verdict for Aldiss Shoppers:

This £160 policy is not a genuine insurance product; it is an expensive up-sell that offers minimal, if any, value. I went four years without claiming, and when I finally needed the policy for a common domestic accident, it was deemed worthless. I strongly advise all future Aldiss customers to save their money. Do not buy the Castelan Group protection plan.

Restaurant gone down hill.
Food not much choice always the same .
Staff lovely but a particular plump woman blond with glasses on the till is very rude does not listen when you order then when the wrong food is served accuse you of not paying for what you ordered in first place and her manner is quite appalling.
Not a nice way of treating customers who have been coming for years such a shame this use to be a nice restaurant no wonder staff do not stay long needs a shake up.

Despite a few problems with our purchase, we had exceptional service from our contacts, Brett Carman and Robert Barrett. For this alone I would heartily recommend this company.

I ordered a set of placemats and a set of matching coasters. They came within a couple of days and were very well wrapped. Very happy.

Our sofa was delivered today by two lovely guys who were totally respectful to our property. The quality of the sofa is superb, super comfy and looks great in our newly completed extension.
A big thank you to the delivery chaps I’m sure one was called Paul, without them doing the hard work, lifting unpacking and taking rubbish away it would not have run so smoothly. Also great time keeping!

Wandered around Aldiss in Hall Rd Norwich this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at the wide range on offer.
Chatted with a lovely lady employee who was extremely helpful.
Didn’t purchase anything today but will definitely visit this store again

Ordered curtains and order was accepted and card charged. Now they say they don’t have them. Cursory email informing me. Totally unacceptable.

I have bought household 3 things from this company. The quality of goods and excellent service and delivery is so good. When I had a problem with one of the purchases, it was replaced next day! Excellent service and friendly staff would definitely recommend this company on my experience

Just received a rug yesterday it’s lovely and way cheaper than other sites for same product , the initial email

We had a dining room table & chairs and nest of tables delivered and Mark & Christian couldn't of been more polite and professional. They put everything in place and checked we were happy with everything before they left.

We absolutely love Aldiss, there selection of all things home are beautiful, there sales are really good. There is nothing we don't like about this retailer. The staff are always so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Never once have we had a bad experience, we have been coming here for years. Thank you Aldiss :-)

Fantastic service from purchase to delivery. The sofa salesman was great as were the guys who delivered it and our mattress. Very professional and friendly.

Spent £3383 on two leather sofas & after less than three years the coating on the leather is flaking even though we stick to manufacturers instructions and Aldiss General Manager called Adam suggested either the cleaning / maintenance routine or oil from my hair was at fault. My wife is meticulous in her cleaning routine and I wash my hair daily with no other product used except shampoo so to my way of thinking his account of the problem is total rubbish and the coating used by the manufacturer is not resilient enough to cope with the use of the sofa as designed.
He was unable to even help with a suggested resolution even if I have to pay for it.
Also bought our previous leather sofas from them which after 18 years are in perfect condition with no deterioration of the coating !
We have spent more than £6000 on furniture there but will never return again or recommend them on this poor level of service.

Awful service if anything goes wrong with a product you buy here. Once a great store now just poor like all the others. Customer care is a thing of the past here, buyer beware. A once great company now down to a third rate seller.
My product has not been treated properly and has now stained badly, the kitchen fitter in our family has examined it and told us it's poorly treated and should not stain that way.
They will not replace it so £800.00 wasted

Always had fantastic service from the fakenham store, got a house full of there furniture all proper solid stuff that so far has lasted years & years

I buy all sorts of stuff from them never had a problem so far

Just had vinyl flooring laid. Fitter was concerned that moving the washing machine in on the same day would damage it so he arranged for someone from the store to come and out in place the following day.
They were actually store staff and they could not have been more helpful.
Can’t imagine any national store that would do that.

Always been happy with their carpet fitting but the service today was outstanding
