Allsop Durn LLP Reviews

Mark from Allsop Durn was so helpful and efficient & made the purchase of my first property a good experience! Very down to earth and always available for any queries. Would highly recommend!

Allsop Durn have been fantastic. Couldn't of asked for a better service when purchasing our first property.

I recently used David for my sale and purchase and he completely exceeded my expectations. Nothing was too much trouble, responses to my questions were immediate and he pushed the whole process through in record time. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this friendly, responsive and local company to anyone in need of a solicitor. Thank you David!

Mike was absolutely fantastic and we can not praise his service and understanding enough.

Mike went above and beyond listened to the entire situation and was able to distinguish between the legally relevant information.

Thank you so much for your help we will keep in touch, recommend you to friend and family and certainly seek your services if ever required in the future.

Thanks a trillion.

Excellent solicitors. Roz always made an effort to answer any questions we had and she was very patient throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend Allsop Durn to others.

As a result of being widowed in August 2019 I have been selling two properties and buying a smaller cottage during the last 6 months. Roz has provided a calm, efficient service throughout this process in the challenging environment of the covid-19 pandemic. In a particularly stressful time in my life I have had complete confidence that matters are being handled promptly and professionally.

We used Allsop Durn for the sale of our home and new build purchase. Roz Allsop was fantastic throughout our rollercoaster of an experience. She was helpful, thorough and reassuring. We highly recommend Roz and her team and would gladly use them again if we ever decide to move again.

We have used Roz's services for a good few years now and always receive an excellent service. Moving house is usually a stressful time - even more so with Covid-19 around. Roz is quick, thorough, very knowledgeable and remains calm and unflappable. I would not hesitate to recommend this company!

Really helped a very stressful move

Mark Goreham was amazing, gave very good estimated times and always stuck by them! Made every process very easy and was always keeping my partner updated, we never had to chase and he was always ahead.
Would recommend thoroughly if you are moving house thanks Mark!

Mark Goreham has been absolutely amazing with our transaction! He’s efficient and very responsive, particularly on email. Mark made the transaction stress-free for me and kept me updated. I never needed to chase Mark, he was always on top of his work. Mark provided an excellent service and I would highly recommend to others!

I was recommended Allsop Durn for my purchase and I was so lucky to have Mark Goreham to help me complete in a smooth and fast way during the slower time of the lockdown. It was a pleasure to deal with such a friendly person, a purchase is always so stressful and Mark made it easier for me. I will not use any other solicitor for my next purchase. Strongly recommend.

Roz Allsop recently acted for me in the sale of my previous home and purchase of my new one, a process that can be difficult and stressful in the best of times, but complicated still further by the arrival of a pandemic. Despite having to work remotely, Roz continued to provide an excellent and timely service, acting with both professionalism and calm efficiency. I would use her services again and would unhesitatingly recommend to others.

I recently instructed Mike Blank on an employment matter. He provided me with straight forward, effective legal advice, as well as invaluable support and assistance. He was always available and I was incredibly happy with his service during such a difficult time for me. I am forever grateful and will always remember it. Thank you again, Mike.

I’ve been dealing with Roz Allsop since early 2017 helping my friend with 3 sales , a purchase and an estate , then had two buyers drop out of my sale , sold to the third buyer and then purchase another property . Each sale and purchase had their own issues due to the complexities of conveyancing . Roz is a woman of few words , she doesn’t run up your bill , she’s very focused and personable and protects your interests , shes unflappable , reliable , thorough , backed up by an equally experienced team . She was recommended to me by a estate agent when I told him what I needed in a solicitor , she delivered, so with4 sales , 2 purchases & an estate to discharge in 3 years I can confidently say do not hesitate to use this solicitor.

Tracy Murgatroyd at Allsop Durn assisted me and my husband with our wills, we've just completed a house purchase and thought it was the appropriate time to do this.

Tracy was very helpful and understanding throughout, especially given the current COVID-19 situation. She was patient and understanding and very diligent in explaining the legalities.

I would recommend Tracy to friends or colleagues who may need similar services in the future!

Aaron and Carley dealt with my house purchase answering my many emails and telephone calls prompty and keeping me informed during every step of the process. Aaron did a thorough job on what turned out to be a complicated purchase involving a transfer of land. Also thanks to David Durn who was always there if needed.

A great team of professionals who you can trust.

The worst experience of my life - I dealt with Roz Allsop, one of the partners so the expectation was high.
Sadly not the reality - poor timely responses to emails if I actually received a response: numerous times had to chase actions and even at the end of the process, I had to email to ask if completion had taken place.
Maybe this was because I did not have a million pound house to sell - hugely disappointed in the whole experience - stress levels as a result at an all time high.
Do think twice about using this company

As a retired police officer I was acquainted with many of the local solicitor firms. It was an easy decision to choose Allsop Durn solicitors and I'm glad that I did.
My point of contact was David Durn and from the outset he handled the sale of my property and the purchase of my new house. I was kept fully informed of the progress made and he responded to my questions almost immediately. His colleagues that handled other queries were also extremely efficient and just as diligent in processing documentation.
I can't fault my experience with this firm at all. Totally professional. Thoroughly recommended.

I've recently used Allsop Durn as my conveyancing solicitors for a leasehold sale.

Mark Goreham was truly fantastic throughout. The speed of response to my questions was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and he's genuinely a really nice guy.

I would not hesitate in recommending Mark and Allsop Durn. I will certainly be using them again.

Had an excellent experience using Allsop Durn for selling my flat and buying my first house with my wife. Mark Goreham was fantastic throughout the whole process, with rapid responses to all my queries which was always much appreciated. He handled every challenge brilliantly, with the rest of his team a pleasure to deal with as well. I couldn't have asked for a better solicitors and will return to using them again if ever needed. I can't recommend them enough!
