I really want to like this family run business and I’ve waited before leaving this review to see if I get any response but sadly not. I’ve spent a lot of money with them. The plants are mostly healthy if not very small. There are one or two that may not survive due to size/ quality. My main Issue is with communication and customer service which is very poor. One of the pelargoniums I ordered is now flowering and it isn’t what I ordered. I have emailed 3 times and messaged on facebook twice. No one responds. There are so many more plants I’d like to order but I just can’t bring myself to spend any more money with a company that ignores me. Unlikely to get a response here but not sure what else to do.

I was really excited to receive my order, especially after seeing the pictures on the website showing what looked like good sized plugs.

After almost a month from the day I placed my order, what I actually received is almost ridiculous.

Tiny microplants, less than 1 inch in size, so small that I am genuinely afraid of handling them.

They look nothing like the plugs shown on the website, which appear to be much bigger.

For comparison, I also placed an order with Fibrex and the pelargoniums I received from them were four times larger.

I honestly wish I had seen the few negative reviews here before ordering, as some customers mention receiving very small plants too.

Allwoods? Nevermore.

If you look on the website in the how your plants arrive. They show jumbo plugs. Very nice, I got 2/3 that looked nothing short of a leaf. Postage was £ 10 ? So £26 for 3 pelargoniums. Not happy. Who really thought when packing that this was ok. Slack dont care attitude. Fed up with it, it's everywhere. Profit comes first.

My plants arrived in pristine condition really very pleased. So I have placed another order. I found them to be very helpful indeed, too quality plants thank you very much indeed.

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience ordering pelargoniums from Alwoods. I received four plants — one of them was already a sport of Patricia Andrea, clearly not true to type. The Scarlet Rambler arrived as a tiny seedling barely 1.5 cm tall including the leaves and, unsurprisingly, didn’t survive. The other two plants were also not in great condition.
I tried to contact the nursery several times regarding these issues, but unfortunately, I never received any response. Considering the high cost of shipping, I expected much better quality and at least some level of customer service. I can’t recommend buying from this nursery based on my experience.

The plants were delivered very quickly and the packaging was excellent.

The Pellargonium arrived on time, and beautifully packed. The plants as always we're in excellent condition. They were potted within an hour and are growing well. It pay s to deal with a company with some history, they certainly know how to grow plants.

I ordered 'Paul Crampel' and some other pelargoniums. Received a white flowered double instead of 'Paul Crampel', which I found out after a while, after nurturing the terrible quality plug plants to relative health. Emailed, asking for a replacement plant to be shipped to my address, but got a refund instead and a suggestion that I can order again and they will add one free of charge. Conveniently for Allwoods, there is a minimum amount you need to order for. Foolishly I placed another order and requested 2 plants of 'Paul Crampel' and two other ones to make up the amount. Received four plants labelled as 'Paul Crampel' ( two ordered and two complimentary with the note "we checked flowers and definitely correct this time"). One of them died soon after potting, two of the remaining ones are double white again, and one is double dark red and is slowly perishing. For the record: 'Paul Crampel' is a historic variety with single red flowers. Emailed again asking for a refund - zero response. My advice to anyone reading this - avoid at all cost. Thanks for nothing Allwoods!

I ordered pinks on May 25th, still waiting and no response to my emails or telephone calls to update me on my order. I would just like someone to respond to me and let me know if there is a problem with my order or if I can expect to receive it soon.

Paid £4.45 for a very tiny 'plug' plant ; other items OK,
but packaging was poor, labels awry.

Very disappointed in a firm which had always provided
good service in the past. No reply to my complaint after 48 hours.

My young plants of Whatfield Pinks arrived in excellent condition in a well designed box. As suggested I potted them on to give time for adjustment and in the space of one month since I received them they are ready to be planted out. Great plants. I will be ordering again.

I’ve ordered pinks from Allwoods for the past couple of years. They are well packaged for delivery, are in good health & if anything is out of stock they will change it to a plant of your choice. Lovely customer service team, thank you.

Being able to find the particular Geranium / Pelagonium I wanted as opposed to to just a choice of 5 or 6 in other stockists.

Excellent delivery, all plants in good condition in well designed structures.

Items arrived on time and were in good condition and all have continue to thrive.

Ordered nine plants. Arrived promptly. Two died, ho hum. P tomentosum was ailing from the start. Prince of Orange was hopeful, but simply refused to take, just sat there. Nicely labelled. Survivors now doing well.

It was easy to order the flowers on line and they came very quickly. The plants were well packaged and are doing well.
