Carnations were well packaged. Growing and care instructions included. Lovely plants, they almost doubled in size in a week. Very pleased with the plants and service. Would definitely recommend.

Really good, healthy plants. Did take 28 days to arrive but that is exactly as stated.

Very disappointed. I had vaguely remembered ordering from Allwoods many years ago and not being impressed, but after so long decided to risk it as my elderly neighbour wanted some succulents from them. So I ordered some pinks including Inchmery which I really wanted and which is difficult to obtain and which was the main reason I put the order in. The succulents were fine, hence the 3 stars, but they were only a quarter of the total cost of the order. The geraniums were so-so but very small cutting and have struggled to put on much growth and look sickly. Most of the pinks were small and of the 2 Inchmerys one was reasonable and is still alive, but the other was so tiny it didn't manage to grow, but just slowly disappeared so I assume it rotted. I don't believe a lot of these plants are rooted properly and one can't start checking or one would probably kill the plants.

These pinks and geraniums are just plug plants which are way too small to send out, especially at the prices Allwoods charge. Yes, I could have complained when I received them, but firstly, they claim to be specialists and should know what they're doing, so one assumes they'll grow on fine; secondly, why should people have to go to the trouble of returning what should never have been sold? For various reasons, I just didn't have the time and energy.

At about the same time, I also bought some plug pinks from one of the big major online plant companies which is not a specialist. They were selling them very cheap, so I didn't have great expectations, but they arrived as strong growing 2-3 inch cuttings and are doing fine. So it's not my plant care which is the problem. I'm definitely not a novice gardener.

I will not be ordering from Allwoods again and neither will I order on someone else's behalf, either.

Excellent packing, choice of shipping, plugs arrived in good condition. Healthy root structure ready to pot up and grow. Have bought favourite pelargoniums, dianthus and fuchsia from Allwoods for years and have never been disappointed. Happy to recommend.

Plants arrived as specified. Seems to be good quality but won't know fully until they actually grow.

Plants arrived promptly, in good condition and are doing well.

Good service , good quality plants, very well packed . However £3 25 forxwhat amounts to a small plug plant is extremely poor value. From other nurseries I have seen plants of the same variety for £3.50-£4 in 9cm pots and 4-5 times the size .

Allwoods plants always arrive in good condition. The packaging is well done and sent out at sensible times as to when you are expected to receive them. My only reservation about Allwoods is that it is sometimes difficult to get hold of office staff if you want ot make changes to your order but this is due to them helping in getting plants out to their customers. The maxim to this, is to make sure you get your order right first time so that you dont have any changes to make!!!

Well packed healthy plants. Long lasting. Still have some of last years basket plants!

The plugs that were sent did not arrive looking healthy and now they are in the baskets are looking very unhappy, think they have been sent out far to young

I received healthy cuttings and with the clear instructions that came with them they are thriving , Mrs Sinkins is difficult to obtain so I was glad to get it .
