Got a random letter in the mail saying I have an account 090174918 yet I have never even heard of American Mint before what kind of scam is this? I just hope they don't try to send me any products and expect me to pay for them.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL SCAM YOU. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR ITEMS YOU DID NOT BUY AND THEN SEND IT TO COLLECTIONS WITHOUT NOTIFYING YOU!

Well, You cannot access it online, they have to place orders, cancel shipments, send you a return label by
phone only. They did say to me yesterday their system is down but their online platform isn't supported they said today. I had to cancel any further shipments today because what they sent me for the return label I did not order.
by phone, yesterday they supposed to send me a link to obtaining a return label but they couldn't reach my email. They told it could be on their end or mine, but that sounds like blaming the consumer.

This was a scam, a remote job scam. I was contacted by someone named Kelly latchaw. Who offered me a remote job for this American Mint LLC. They didn’t run a background check didn’t want my direct deposits info and sent me a fraud check from TD bank to cash. It of course was flagged, none of the money was put into my account. In these times of need where life is so expensive they really are trying to SCAM people when we’re just looking for jobs. DISGRACEFUL.
*added* The same check they sent me is on scam.com just like the others they have fooled. Promising a good job with benefits in this economy only to scam people is absolutely trifling.

When a company uses the name "American," it should be representative of the moral's and value's of respectable business conduct. I have read the reviews and I have strong concerns.
After placing an order and waiting a week. I wondered when/if I might see the product or a tracking number. Please do not subscribe me into a program that I did not action(that means, I took action or pursued to be part of).

I have learn a bit more. There is special pricings which affords you a substantial discount (default) "collect and save." The caveat is they send you a collector coin for previewing. Which you can send back. "Full Disclosure," may be a better approach. SUMMARY This company could do themselves a favor by fully disclosing the program and moving the default option to "Individual Item only." Providing someone the option to save is great. But practices that appear deceptive do not lend themselves to happy customers. In the end the company did do the right thing. But, it will cost them a customer.

The ordering of the items was great however the receiving of the items were not!! I have my item numbers and was told by customer service they were on back order. If that were true, I wouldn't have had the item certificate number. I've had difficulty with items being stolen through the postal service, and tracking numbers sent to me not appearing in the usps informed delivery or tracking package website and issues involving my address and identity and it is upsetting they (postal service) and law enforcement allow this to continue after being notified.

My brother ordered a bowie knife for my uncle for christmas as a one time purchase, to which i find out one month later was a lie as the company decided to enroll him in a subscription service and charging 113 dollars after receiving a knife none of us ordered. I called the customer service number and spoke with a stacy who said she would send me a return label which i appreciated but what i do not appreciate is a sleezy predatory company trying their money-grabbing tactics on my brother for a simple christmas gift. (and such a cheaply made one at that, terrible knife making) so overall- do not buy from this company.

I have been trying to get a return lable for over 4 mouths now and still don't have one.

As every other review has stated: this company relies on people to not read terms and conditions to make extra money off the initial purchase you make with them. They will reply and say well if you had read it and crossed off the optional collectible program you would have...... seriously? instead of the option to check a box if you want to be enrolled into this ''optional'' program you just assume people want to be in it that have simply not read into the mail. My cheap order of a coin for my fathers birthday has turned into a headache over a sleazy companys tactics to entrap peoples money. Please take me off you list and void my owed amount for this coin i never wanted. account# 032757450

Predatory company
American Mint sent several coins that were neither ordered nor wanted and out of confusion ( their solicitations are fraudulently made to look like bills or tax forms) 3 out of 6 shipments were paid for and when I call to try to settle the account/return the unordered items they say their "systems are down" which after reading several reviews here is most definitely a stalling tactic if not an out and out lie. If I don't get help today I may be forced to contact my lawyer to settle the matter.

I sent Amercian Mint an email to stop sending items that they except me to pay for when I did not order them.

This statement is also a backup to the email requesting no further business is to be conducted between the two of us. I have requested a return postage paid shipping label to return from invoice #2 and account 033582912

This company preys on the elderly. My grandfather ordered one coin and was sent 3, at $104.41/ea. We called and “their systems were down”, seems sketchy. Surprised there has not been a class action lawsuit against this predatory company, you can’t charge people for what they didn’t order. Funny enough we had sent back items before with a request to cease, however my grandpa got this invoice again. It appears others are suffering at the hands of this company, hopefully they are shut down ASAP before more grandparents are preyed upon.

As many folks before - my wife liked the Commander in Chief GIG4Kart and we ordered - and were tricked onto Registered Collector status ??? The price we paid seemed high, but then we started receiving invoices for some ten times MORE money! I requested to stop our Registered Collector status, take us off the list, stop sending harassing invoices - email June 24, registered letter June24 - so far no reaction.Acc # 033304424; John Pawlowski. What more can I do?

I ordered a Trump coin in January 2021. I received it along with 2 other Presidential coins which I did not order. After requesting the return label, I sent those 2 coins back. Since then I've been getting several invoices for $148.71 although my son-in-law had called twice. They claim they got the cheap Trump coin, not the expensive Lincoln coin, which is not true because I still have the Trump coin. I demand my account to be cleared and I do not want to receive any more merchandise from American Mint.

I usually throw junk mail right into the trash as soon as I get it but the other day I happened to open an envelope from American mint that said WE WANT TO HELP. With a smile I opened it curious to know what they wanted to help me with and it told me I was delinquent in paying for coins that I requested from them. I certainly didn't order any coins from them, much less for over $100. I never buy those types of things on credit and always pay up front. So I called them and OF COURSE their computers were down. After they promised to call back I did remember several months ago responding to an offer for a trump coin for a very small price probably just shipping and handling I think I may have asked for two and probably sent them a check
After looking online I see American Mint has a scam that they begin sending you things after the initial coin and you didn't realize you sign up for it. So if they did send me something it went right into the trash with the junk mail. I will fight till The Bitter End over this. This is a shameful loathsome company and I feel sorry for anyone who actually payes these people

American Mint employs confusing solicitation tactics that easily confound the elderly. My wife had no idea she was ordering a series by placing an order for $20.00 of commemorative coins and 'collectibles. She gave and threw away the products deemed worthless to her and thought that was the end of it.
Now she receives increasingly threatening invoices. Admittedly she ignores them thinking she fell subject to a well coordinated scam.
I will send payment for the balance via a money order that will not give them account data they can use to attempt any further collections.
I see that American Mint apparently responds to most of these complaints. I hope that is an indication that when they receive my money, they will cease and desist from further solicitation or collection attempts. Shame on you, American Mint for using an alluring name and questionable tactics to fool the gullible and easily fooled.

I did order from the company and paid for what I have ordered. Now Im getting invoices for things I have never ordered. I emailed them to let them know please stop sending me invoices for things that I have never ordered. I also told them directly in the email that everything will be written communication. I received at least 4 mailings from them to order on a daily basis. I guess next step is for my attorney to serve them for cease and desist order.

I advise everyone to stay away from this company. They have very shady business tactics and they're very misleading to their customers. For instance, they will send you this thing saying you can get this gold plated coin for $20 which is a really good deal but what they don't tell you is by doing that you automatically subscribe to a bunch of other coins that you don't even know about and it's not even in the fine print or anything like that at all and all of a sudden one day your checking account is $100 in the negative. I ordered my mom one single coin for Christmas and I tried to tell me that I received several coins and they tried to charge me for them and of course I got my money back after I had to go through a long drawn-out process of them sending me a letter to fill out and then I sent it back and then I had to wait almost a month to get my money back and now they're pulling the same stunt again and I'm not even going to attempt to get my money back this time. I'm just going to call them and tell them do not charge me anymore or subscribe me to anything whatsoever or else I will be seeking legal advice against them. If you're wanting to collect coins, I suggest finding a legitimate coin broker. These people are basically a scam.

Important update!

I know I'm a little late with this. But I'm beginning to wonder and question the integrity and transparency of not only the company I reviewed but trustpilot themselves. This is the second time of having to write this update on this review which is actually my reply to the company that replied to my original review but I'm not allowed to reply to their reply ironically and coincidentally and magically so I was going to leave the link to this reply and also magically trustpilot doesn't allow you to leave links! Starting to think this is a little setup situation. If you read the review of course they're wanting to try to coerce me to completely docs myself in an attempt to fix my problems. But nothing about the review changes this company is still horrible and now questioning trust pilot also.

Paid for a coin by credit card, it never arrived but received a bill. When I called was told the coin was sent to a PO box, operator wouldn't give me the PO Box #. I have no PO box. Thank goodness credit card company refunded ... still getting bills tho.

I called customer service 4 times and got different story each time. I'm not bothering with them again.
